Very nice location and old historic lodge with a lot of characters. Unfortunately, they don't provide breakfast - reason why it is NOT very good or excellent! Dinner meals appeared to be managed by another company / group - very strange and not very convenient to be obliged to pay separately!

Absence of breakfast! Very slow checking process! Too archaic, old fashion style! It should be significantly facilitated for HHonors members - 2 min max. instead of 10-12 min. We should receive HHonors Points for this stay!

Loved the lodge itself. The location was pretty good and quiet. The room was nice and we liked the view of the mountain.

It would have been nice to have a queen size bed instead of a full. I had put in a special request to let us check in a little early like an hour would have been nice. It was our 25th anniversary. They took my number and said they would call us when the room was ready, but we never heard from them so we ended up checking in at the normal time. That was disappointing.

Great location for access to the route for Rocky Mountain National Park. A short drive to grocery store, and other services in town. Staff was helpful with suggestions for our stay. Also, the restaurant on site was great! If you want the experience of a cookie-cutter bland hotel chain, this is not your hotel--however, if you want to experience a historical lodge with wood floors, antique furniture, and learning about the family history of this mountain lodge and mountain memorabilia, then the Crags Lodge is the respite you are looking for.

Location and the nostalgia that it evoked. Alpine flare with all the comforts but history seeped even through the key lock which was old fashioned brass. We had 2tv’s, two bathrooms and a really nice kitchen. Clean and peaceful.

I wish the restaurant would have better menu and would offer breakfast. The view and capacity is just spectacular.

This is an awesome place. Great location. Great views. Each room is different. Barb at the front desk was awesome, recommended great restaurant and brewpub. She said her goal is to make sure all the customers are happy. I’ve travelled to top notch hotels and resorts on multiple continents and I would put her at the top for all around people and customer service skills.

Nothing. It was a great spot. I went off season so it was very quiet.

We loved the uniqueness and the ambiance of this hotel, as well as the beautiful views of the town and mountains from the patio deck outside the back of the hotel. Our room had a living room, a small, equipped kitchen, and a bedroom, which was a pleasant surprise that made our stay so much nicer than just a hotel room.

We knew there was a restaurant in the hotel, which we would have loved to dine at, but we were not aware that it was not open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, which were the two days we were there.

We like the facility as we have stayed in it several times and are aways pleased with the staff, the kindness they show, how helpful, considerate and friendly they are. The rooms are all different, making it unique and appreciate the quaintenance of the lodge. Love the location and how quiet it is. The surroundings are beautiful. Our stay was 3 nights this visit. Have stayed 2 night and 4 nights in the past.

The kitchen area is very small but can get by if don't cook much as only a microwave and small cooktopl. Lacked bowls to put food in. Included a couple pots and pans. The regrigerator is a small half size and holds very little. Good for drinks. Brought 2 frying pans, crockpot, some kitchen utensils and serving pieces and a cooler with ice to use for keeping food cold. Good amount of storage and closet space. We always return and have stayed many times at Crag's always making do of the facilities which we always like.
