Franconia Notch Motel

My husband had to work the day we got to Lincoln. I dropped him off at the property at 8am with the intention that he would work from a chair outside. They gave us the room at 8am which was so nice. I am very grateful that their excellent customer service. Location is right in the center of everything. I took the kids to Clark’s Trading Post and a beach. At night we sat by the river in the back. The sound is so soothing. Its a charming place. Clean and the beds are comfortable. But above all the staff is amazing. Will definitely be back!

The staff is nice. The location is fantastic right along the river. They even have picnic tables and grills along the river. There is a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker in the room. A little table, too, which is very nice. The WIFI worked a lot better than the last time I stayed here.

The carpet looks old and dirty, the chairs were stained. You can tell the place is old and in need of repair. It may not be insulated. The heater kept coming on throughout the night just minutes after it turned off. Made for a noisy night. Not normally a problem during the warmer months, but we are having an exceptionally cold spring.

The location of the motel is fantastic. It’s a 20-30 minute ride to the white mountain ski resorts. There is a nice Brook that runs through the backyard of the property. The staff was incredibly sincere. The room itself was a good size

There are stains in the ceiling, the carpet was not vacuumed, and the coffee tasted like paper. It smelled of moth balls and elderly perfume upon entering. For the money, we have stayed in nicer places. We will try the neighboring facilities next year

It was a good cheap room for the night being a solo traveler. The location and highway in front of the hotel is dead after 7 p.m.

At the price point no real complaints. You know what you are getting at certain price point hotels. My only complaint is when I took a shower the drain was a little clogged and started to get above my ankles during the shower.

The setting is quiet; there’s no pool, which is a plus in my book. There’s nothing fancy here, but the rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. The property is a short drive to many excellent restaurants and attractions. I have stayed here several times, and will definitely be back.

Stayed in a cabin. Very cute and cozy. Very scenic views. Had a great time watching thunderstorm over mtns from little screened in sun porch. Friendly neighbors. Access to beautiful rocky brook was amazing for splashing and rock hunting. Very quiet and kid friendly location but still close to attractions and town

If you want to experience NH as it was, this motel gives every guest a bird's eye view of the roaring Pemi River 20 feet away. If you want an antiseptic condo experience once or twice removed from nature, go elsewhere. If you want the fresh air and sound of nature right outside your window, come here and ask for room 7

This is my 5th time renting a cabin from these folks. Things we like are the quiet location, close enough to everything but remote enough to be peaceful. The cabins border the Pemigewasset River. Fire pits along the river make for peaceful evening watching the fire and listening the sound of the water flow by. The staff is friendly.

The shower stall is small.

The river is right behind the rooms and it sounds and looks beautiful.  It’s very quiet because it set back from the road a bit.  I appreciate having a refrigerator and microwave in the room.

Like everywhere else this summer, everything seemed a bit damp. 

Drive up to room style (retro) extremely clean super friendly staff beautiful grounds/flowers Will for certain stay here again Very comfy bed I can in good conscience recommend this motel WE LOVED IT!!!!!
