The staff was friendly, and the decor of the room was modern and nice. The pool and gym facilities were nice too.

There was considerable wear and tear that was noticeable in the room. The bathroom sink faucet was loose and there was a crack in the sink basin. There were scuff marks and spill marks on some walls. It looked like there was once a full-length mirror on the bedroom door but it may have been cracked because of its proximity to the closet doors. There was no light in the closet. In fact, there was no overhead light at all in the apartment. There was also a floor lamp in the living room that would sometimes go and then the light would go out.

Centrally located within walking distance from Jefferson station (5min). A beautiful, clean, and modern apartment hotel. Each (hotel)room is its own apartment with all the basics you'd need for a comfortable stay there (living room, bedroom, full kitchen, bathroom, laundry facilities in the room, study/work area, tv, sound system, etc). The design of each room is very stylish and modern, while at the same time feeling warm and homely. (It's definitely worth its money) They offer several communal spaces to lounge, sit, and meet up with others. Besides this central space, they have two 24h-gyms (one with weights and cardio machines, one more designed like a dance studio with lots of mirrors and barres), a big outdoor pool, and movie theatre. Really all you'd need if you're staying there for several days. At the end of the street (< 5 min walking) there is a supermarket for easy convenience. Staff were very friendly, open, and ready to help. (They allowed me to use the communal space after checkout as I didn't leave Philly until later in the day) During Pride month they even organized a pride event (drag show and get together for the both the people staying at the hotel and those living there on the higher floors). The staff went all out to make people feel welcome, seen, and appreciated during that event.

Arriving in Philly for the first time, it was a little harder to find initially as there was no clear signage indicating ROOST at the door. Other than that, the only other thing I didn't like is that I had to leave and couldn't stay for longer!

Our stay at the Roost was fantastic. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. The location is what we were hoping - pretty convenient to walk to our favorite restaurants and bars (~20 minutes to Rittenhouse Square). There is a lot of construction in the area, though admittedly, that seems to be the case for all of Philadelphia at the moment.

The only slight bummer about our stay was the fact that the outside decks were undergoing staining while we were there, so we didn't get use of the outside deck/poolside for much of our stay.

Delightful contemporary styled apartment with quality furnishings and facilities. I was pleasantly surprised to discover the 3rd floor communal area with garden, pool and catering facilities.

It was a bit tricky to find the hotel as the street number was not visible and the name Roost wasn't above the entrance. We passed it twice before being assisted by a friendly street sweeper who took us to the door. Maybe that's why it's called the city of brotherly love!

Great location for visiting family at Jefferson hospital, Mom’s organic market on same block!, 3rd floor and coffee machine, nice view of pool, washer and dryer, lots of space, great to have another bed in “den” - wasn’t expecting it and put it to good use with a family member

Could use a bit more light in the bedroom; shower head was quite leaky and shower partition could ideally be extended so that water doesn’t escape shower and fall on floor; complimentary eye makeup remover cloth didn’t work and irritated eyes

We checked in and the staff was so friendly and helpful. We had our two dogs with us and the staff was so sweet to them. The room was clean and well appointed. There was a full kitchen and even coffee for the coffee maker. We were able to park in a lot right next to the hotel. We could walk to the convention center and shopping. There was a CVS and Target with in 3 minute. The room was clean and the spacious. My teen agers like the billards room and lounge.

Couch was not a pull out and there were no sheets but upon request we were given sheets and a pillow,

Great location, ultra friendly staff, amenities were top notch, both in room and on the shared floor. Overall just an amazing place; Would love to stay again!

A/C was a bit loud, didn’t bother me at all but it did my husband. Would prefer more visual confirmation on the door lock - wasn’t really sure it was secured and no backup lock. Both super minor things though, overall the stay was amazing!

I am a repeat customer and still love staying at the Roost Market East. The staff were professional, attentive and helpful, especially Ms. Shawana and Frank.

Took a minute for me to get checked in, I was in the system but paperwork was not ready. Little minor thins in room like wall sockets and light and garbage disposal switch in kitchen we’re coming out of the wall. The half glass door in the bathtub still puzzles me, might as well have a shower curtain or full door!

I was delighted to find and use the 25 meter heated outdoor lap pool.

I forgot my toothbrush and had to purchase a toothbrush for $6 at 7-11. Have a few items for guests - such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, shaving cream, laundry detergent. No ice in room or in freezer.

Nice to have the extra room and comforts of an apartment instead of a typical hotel room for an extended business trip/conference. The common spaces were very nice. The kitchen was great! Eastern State Penitentiary is definitely worth a visit. Also enjoyed our visit to Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. LOTS of dining options as Reading Terminal Market.

We had issues with the key cards not working in the elevator several times. Walkable to the convention center, but may be a bit long for some in the summer heat.
