The grounds are well maintained and the hallways & rooms are very clean. It is in a beautiful area of Westerly, just a few minutes from the beach & Watch Hill. The beach passes, which includes parking, is a great perk as parking at the beach is otherwise $20+ per day and the lots can fill up fast on weekends & holidays. I found the manager to be very accommodating to ensure that we were comfortable and happy with our stay.

Some rooms may need to be updated. Our first night the bed was uncomfortable and we didn't sleep well (the bed was too soft, perhaps an older mattress), but as I said on the positive side, the manager was very accommodating and moved us to another room where we were very happy.

Daily our room was very well cleaned with fresh towels. Our request for four bath towels each day was met; being outside all day (not at the beach), at the end of the day we needed a good shower to get clean. We enjoyed waking up to the sun rising over the golf course and the very short walk to the Venice Restaurant for drinks and dinner.

The ceiling fan in the bathroom was very noisy, due to age and the end-of-season bearings wearing out. We expect the fan will be replaced this winter. Because there isn't a coffee make in the room, it would be nice if the coffee and minimalist breakfast items were available promptly at 7:30 am for those of us waiting at the door with early plans.

We enjoy the glass doors leading to a small balcony overlooking the 13th golf green and local road in the distance. Nice in the morning to wake up to the rising sun with coffee and doughnuts. Housekeeping did an excellent job cleaning each morning without a chemical smell.

Coffee, banana, English muffin, and cereal isn't available until after 7:30 am; not good for early risers. We bring our own Keurig and pick up muffins the day before at the local grocery store so that we can have breakfast around 6:30 am. Not a complaint: the rooms are dated, but well maintained; we're not in the room long enough for it to matter.

Peaceful location easy to reach beach and restaurants. Grounds extend to a pond and make for a nice stroll. Clean, comfortable room, with small fridge and microwave. Bathroom layout good, not opening directly into where beds are

No coffee maker in room!!! Very cheap continental breakfast from 7:30 to 10 across parkinglot in separate building. A few bulk dry items. Very non-environmentally friendly, white styrofoam cups provided for coffee. Tea bags marked "Black Tea" obviously cheap, bought in bulk. Unpleasant attendant in breakfast room. Not worth the effort of going. Bring your own supplies and use microwave to heat your water

I enjoyed my stay. -Housekeepers were very wonderful!! Room & hotel is very clean. Grounds are pretty. Pool & Restaurant is nice. Great staff CB (bartender)is very attentive & friendly, servers are all friendly. Thank you for having coffee & breakfast items. The owner woman is nice funny & attentive.

-The front desk guy (owners son) was short answered & very rude. He’s not hospitable!! Probably shouldn’t be in the hospitality business. It doesn’t hurt to make eye contact with a smile. They’re are plenty of other places to stay. So maybe be welcoming & pleasant to your guests. -but Our check in gentleman was very friendly & helpful. -The hot tub was broken with cold water -The bedspreads are disgusting ugly & old. They need to go. -the air conditioner in rm 203 was very loud & smells awful. It was tricky to work -tried to take a walk down to the water but was quickly attacked by mosquitoes.

Rooms were refurbished and very clean. Has large pool and hot tub out doors. Lovely yard that you can walk to salt water pond with a dock to stand on that has a swing, picnic tables, what looks like an upcoming garden and some Rhode Island reds along the path. Continental breakfast.

The brown bed spreads in the rooms look very drab. A more beachy look would be better. What I really didn't like was the rudeness of the owners in the breakfast room and the restaurant. She had a tip jar our for herself. Such a lovely place that needs someone else running the business day to day so they can retire.

The location is wonderful! One of our favorite things about the Winnapaug Inn is the beautiful flower beds and garden located behind the Inn! It is such a lovely New England setting! Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The balcony overlooking the golf course was sensational! It was a nice spot to enjoy morning coffee, or a sip of wine in the shade after a day in the sun! The pool is clean and the lounges were plentiful. Coffee, in the "Coffee Room" was great and the muffins were good! We will always come back here! The likes far outweigh the dislikes!!!!

In room 121 the air conditioner sounds like a screaming airliner flying over the golf course every time it comes on. In the Coffee Room: The toaster could be tweaked a bit so that it toasts the first time you put it through. There was no yogurt! The cooler was empty. Cell phone service and Wi-fi was nearly non-existent.

hotel is always clean and the woman whom takes care of it always very friendly and attentive to all. Beach access pass is great, and continental breakfast is a nice extra. venice restaurant is awesome, staff and food were great and its nice to walk to dinner.

gentleman at the desk is too standoffish but pleasant. the last day we could not use the pass to the beach as we were checking out but allowed to in the past. so would be tough to stay for just 1 night in future as only get pass to beach on arrival.

Beautiful property swingset, nice gardens, shuffke board, gazebo, a little pier to Winnipaug pond, pool, jacuzzi, we were on the 3rd floor had great balcony and view, small breakfast included weekday price was great! Room was clean and comfortable. Food at restaurant and sky bar in shared lot next door was good too. I'd definitely stay here again.

They say private beach on the website. However kt was a pond and all crushed oyster shells and mud. No private beach anyone would want to swim in.

Unfortunately I missed the breakfast as I didn't realize there was one. I thought the place was exceptional. Loved our room, loved the location, was thrilled with the size, cleanliness and the jacuzzi. Regret I didn't use the swings. Unfortunately was assaulted by some intense biting bugs when I walked in the garden, but can't fault the Inn for that. The view from our room was awesome (we had the end room looking towards the "beach" as well as the golf course). Loved the property, the garden, that there were actually tomatoes growing as well as a bunny. Couldn't have been happier- thanks for a lovely stay Winnipaug Inn!
