NH Danube City

Nice big room with everything that is needed for a good rest. Breakfast was really very good with a variety of fruits and desserts. Helpful staff. Very close to the Vienna International Center (10 min). 2 metro stations in 10 min walk, Billa shop in 2 min walk. Beach in 10-15 min walk. Besides, we received a vaucher for free drink in a bar as we confirmed cleaning of our rooms not every day, but every 2 days. Shuttle bus from the airport stops infront of the hotel evey hour.

No parking and lack of free space in front of the hotel even for short stop. The nearest parking from 1za tower which is in 2-3 min walk was too expensive - approx 47 euro per night. Parking at Austria International Center is in 15 min walk from the hotel and we paid 64 euro per 4 nights.

Location was very convenient to both subways and UN. Room was warm. Had most everything I needed (except iron and board, although one was located in the fitness area). Very functional. On 15th floor, view was very nice. Breakfast (not included in my rental) was 7/10. Had dinner a couple of times at the restaurant and it was very good. Staff was fine. I forgot an adaptor for my USA plug-in and front desk loaned me one for my stay, which helped tremendously.

wish the guy at the desk would have told me that a taxi to the airport was 45 EU when I asked if I should take Uber or taxi. Would have liked iron and ironing board in the room.

I really enjoyed my stay there. Good location close to U1 metro and walking distance to the Donauinsel area. Booked a double super room with a breathtaking view. Breakfast was delicious. Otherwise all was great.

The gym area is rather poorly equipped. Some more weights and equipment would be needed. The receptionist by mistake coded the room cards for 3 nights instead of 4 that I booked and I had to wait in the queue to the reception again. Maybe a bit more people could work at the reception cause there were always people waiting.

We started off with a room looking over the street, it was too noisy to open the window, so we asked to be moved to the back of the property. This was done easily and with no hassle. We really enjoyed the room looking out over the back, it was quiet, comfortable, spacious. The bathroom and beds very comfortable and clean. The hotel felt very peaceful although large and at a busy road. It was located really conveniently for subway stations, and within easy walking distance there is the Old Danube and some quaint good restaurants. The staff were nice and helpful. Breakfast was just amazing. There were lots of healthy choices and wonderful coffee.

The hotel location is great - in proximity to Danube Park, next to a metro station. The room was clean and spacious. Reception boy “Jan” is a great person, he is a hard worker and helped us a lot and answered all our questions and gave our needs. “Yasmin” as a supervisor is a great and helpful person.

There is apparently a sauna but this was hard to find, locked, and would have to ask staff to open up, not very convenient. No one at the entrance desk. But guess there was a reason for it. In any case, more personnel in those cases might help customers

Good location close to Austria Center, friendly staff, big rooms, big bathroom. Plenty elevators and an excellent breakfast with a very wide array of choices including custom made hot breakfast to order. Spacious bar and restaurant with good array of choices at reasonable prices.

The rates were exceptionally high because there was a conference. There are few hotels in neighbourhood within walking distance so it felt a bit exploitative.

The NH Danube Hotel is very conveniently located at walking distance (5 mins) from the "Alte Donau" metro station of the U1 line, which is directly connected to the centre of Vienna. Therefore, places like Prater, Stephanplatz and Karlsplatz can be confortably reached in 15-20 minutes. Moreover, also the surrounding area is very nice, as both parks and water basins are present. Furthermore, the Donau Insel can be easily reached (either in two stops of the U1 line or in 10 minutes walking). As for the hotel, the rooms have reasonable dimension (also for a family of three members, as in our case), and are comfortably furnished and clean. Breakfast is very rich in meals, both in "salt" and a "sweet" ones. We (especially my 8-year son and I) greatly enjoeyd it. Last, but not least: the "VAL 3" bus stops at the hotel entrance and connects it to the Vienna airport in about 40 minutes. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Minor (very minor) points: - adding cocoa powder (for milk of kids) to breakfast might be appropriate; - the mattress of the additional bed placed in our room could have been a bit thicker and more comfortable.

Hotel location is great - in proximity to Danube park, next to a metro station, also quite close to the business district if you are traveling for work. Breakfast was really good and room was clean and spacious.

No private garage - you can use IZD Tower public garage (which is connected to the hotel), but the cost is about EUR 3.6 per hour (prices as of September 2022), capped at a daily maximum of EUR 48.6 (even though the daily rate on booking is listed at EUR 40) - if you are traveling by car and staying for a few days this might be a bit troublesome. Gym is really small and Wi-Fi in the room could be a bit faster.

Room was clean, except the carpet. Housekeeping left room each time in very clean condition.

I paid the whole staying at the check-in time. At check-out, the lady from reception told me to pay the staying by insisting even I told her that I paid. After another lady came and told her that it os already paid after showing her something in the screen of the PC, she said OK to me. It was indeed an unpleasant situation to me.
