The hotel has a great interior. It combines historical looks and modern comfort. We liked the location which is close to the main attractions in this part of the city. Beds were comfortable for us, but they might be too short for people taller than 1,90. Breakfast was ok.

The greatest disappointment for me was that we did not get the room which was on the photos. The receptionist tried to find the right one, but failed. Sending too many welcoming letters every day before the arrival was excessive.

The interior of the hotel is gorgeous and stylized in a royal style. The staff was very helpful and nice. If we come back to Prague we will definitely take this hotel again.

It is difficult to give something here that we did not like, so I will give one inconvenience. We were charged a EUR 100 deposit, and in the news from the hotel I did not find any information that it would be charged. It would be worth informing customers about such a deposit in the future so that they can plan their budget.

The staff were exceptionally helpful. We traveled with our 7 year old daughter, they ensured that an extra little bed was brought in for her. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The location is great, walking distance from Prague Castle, Charles Bridge and other main attractions. Lots of shops, restaurants and bars in the area. We unfortunately had a medical emergency to deal with while we were there. The staff went out of their way to help us find the right hospital, book the car and assist with storing our luggage. We will definitely be booking with them again. Thank you Team King Charles

The building is very old but very clean. The interior of the facility is very nice. Also there were colorful paintings on the windows. The rooms are big, clean. The heating system was very good. The location is nice, it is very close to Prague Castle. You can use tram line 22/23 to go to Pohořelec and you can walk down to the hotel.

The beds were old and a little bit noisy. It could be difficult to walk up the hotel. But you can use tram line 22/23 and walk down. The building is very old but it is nice. Did not try breakfast but lots of nice cafes around.

Excellent location in the historic neighbourhood of Malá Strana. Large room, stylishly furnished and a well-equipped bathroom. Very quiet location.

The room did not receive much natural light, yet there was no way of closing the curtains fully. As a person very sensitive to natural light, I found myself waking up very early, since the room was East-facing and the sun rose quite early. This was quite convenient for avoiding the crowds in Malá Strana though! There were not many sockets in the room and their positioning was awkward for charging the mobile phone. Also, there was no obvious way to plug in the laptop while working at the table.

So, staying at U Krale Karla was actually not our first time but rather our second time, because we stayed here for a week back in 2014. Our memories of this hotel were fond, and staying here again did not give us any reason to change our opinions about it. The hotel is beautiful. The historical and yet warm atmosphere in the room is that of the kind and helpful staff. Staying here is almost like roleplaying. You imagine yourself in another time, a time where elegance and style were much more valued than it is today when it is considered acceptable to visit a fine dining restaurant with fake Adidas pants and brown sneakers that were once white. At Krale Karla you feel stylish and extravagant, and every time you go to bed you do so as a King or Queen because of the magnificent bed. The temperature in the room is comfortable and stable. We remember this because when we visited last time it was during a heatwave and the room back then was also surprisingly stable in temperature. As a funny surprise and somewhat of a coincidence we got to stay in the same room as in 2014. Well the hotel has 19 rooms so it was not an impossible coincidence, but still something we found a bit surprising, and also very nice. Our room was on the second floor, but a nice and working elevator helped us up and down all the time. The hotel is staffed in the reception every hour of the day/evening/night, so finding someone to help you is never any problem if you need it. The room had a small fridge that was without a pesky minibar so you could easily fill it up with your own stuff. The cleaning of the room was impeccable and every time we returned to our room it was in a newly cleaned condition. Like always the water from the taps is perfectly safe to drink (this is not limited to the hotel) and the shower pressure is impressively strong. Thank you all in the staff for making sure that we felt like nobility.

My gf and I rented the Deluxe Double/Twin Room for one night for my birthday. The gentleman working the front desk was very friendly and check-in went smoothly. But....when we entered the room it looked nothing like the pictures depicted on Booking's website. The room appeared half the size of the ones in the picture, there was no bathtub as depicted on Booking's pics, and there were 2 separate, single beds that were impossible to push together because of the bulky bed frames. So I went back to the front desk and politely spoke with the gentleman there, and, to make a long story short, we received the room that was exactly as depicted in the Deluxe Double/Twin Room on Booking's webisite. Huge, large queen bed, nice big bathtub, clean, quiet....superb. So whoever was working on 5 November at about 8pm, thank you very much for accommodating our wishes in a very friendly manner and making our stay a very enjoyable one :) The hotel has a great location right next to the Prague Castle on the border of Mala Strana (my favorite part of Prague) and Hradčany and roughly 15 minutes on foot to Charles Bridge. All in all, a great birthday experience!

Warranty for minibar Breakfast is a little bit expensive - by mistake I was charged twice.

A great experience. Prague is a real delight. The hotel is furnished with good taste. The prices are decent for the location and facilities. Breakfast is ok - quite complete. I would still recommend a review of its price. However, I don't think the warranty for the minibar is necessary. Exemplary cleanliness, located right next to the palace and very close to the old center. Lots of souvenir shops around. Restaurants and bars with traditional food and drinks. I recommend!

The hotel had a lot of character and charm and was clean and mostly comfortable, except that our room did not have air conditioning, and the temperature was near 90 degrees Fahrenheit. The location was great, close to Prague Castle--short walking distance. The person at the front desk was very nice. The price was good. Overall it was a good experience.

Our room was not air conditioned. The shower was small. I kept bumping into the knobs and inadvertently changing the water temperature.
