Ca' Due Leoni

The hotel is located in a quiet courtyard in Canareggio. It is within walking distance of the train station and near several vaporetti stops including Alilaguna from/to the airport. Many small restaurants dot both sides of the canal. The hotel's interior is quaint but charming with local decor throughout. The single room was spacious enough with a desk, armoir, and good lighting. The bathroom included a corner shower stall plus bidet, toilet, sink, nice towels and a few toiletries. Continental-style breakfast is served in a garden which fortunately had a roof because it was raining. Breakfast items tend toward the sweet with no savory offerings. Best, I enjoyed chatting with the most-simpatico owner and his son who were very friendly and helpful in dispensing information.

The mattress and pillow were much firmer than what I am accustomed to.

Everything was great at this lovely hotel. Walking in the door you are greeted by a very friendly gentleman. He carried our bags up the stairs, which were very heavy. He proceeded to pull out a map and circled lots of highlights around Venice. The room was spacious and absolutely spotless. They serve a basic continental breakfast. Enough to get you going for the day. The location of the place is great. Pretty close to the train station. Easy to find. Quiet neighborhood without tourists. Plenty of water taxi locations. This was a very pleasant place to stay.

I recently stayed at Ca' Dei Leoni in Venice, Italy, and it was an absolute delight. The man at reception went above and beyond to make our stay a breeze. He was very accommodating (we needed an early breakfast on our day of departure) and his helpful recommendations made our trip even more memorable. The hotel's charming ambience and good location (just off one of the main routes through the city) made it a fantastic choice. I would visit again.

I was a little confused about room beds as we booked for two adults and two children but there were only three beds on arrival. It was no problem though, as only the sofa bed hadn't been made, initially.

It was a nice hotel with breakfast, we didn't try the breakfast as we were in a hurry but they offered to give us coffee on the way. The location is perfect, it is 5 minutes walking from the boat stop that takes you to the Airport, and 10 minutes walking from the train station. The Host is super friendly and he gives you a map and give you all the information you need. Free wifi available at the room Water Kittle and AC is available at the room

The room was small. The room had some ants but when we mention it they clean the whole room again and offered to change the room.

Lovely small hotel in a quieterbut authentic area of the city. Right next to a canal with a handful of lovely inexpensive restaurants. Very close to a water taxi stop which was easy to use. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Decor a little worn but that added to the charm of the place. Would stay here again but don't book if you want luxury, you will not find it here but it is on no way a flea pit, just an old but comfortable building. Good value for money in a city in which accomadatoon is very expensive.

Breakfast was very basic with just toast, croissants and a variety of packet rudks and biscuits. However with such a small place they have limited kitchen access. Not really a problem as there are eateries with breakfast literally just around the corner

Breakfast was amazing, lots of very good food. Typical Italian breakfast in a vey nice garden. Ok bit of pigeons were annoying but it is Venice. Location is great - not on busy street and close to Vaporetto stop. Entrance of the hotel is in small square a bit hidden but very very nice. Few minuets walk from train station. Nearby the Jewish Ghetto and few minutes walking for city center (but Piazza San Marco is far from there, let's say 20 minutes walking). Staff very nice and professional. Room was big and comfortable: we were 4 pax. It was very clean but lots of mosquitos. One net was broken so we had to sleep with window closed and it was really warm by that time.

Clean, convenient quiet location not far from water taxi stations and easy walk into the old city centre.

It was very difficult to find this accommodation even though it's only about 5 minutes walk from Venice Santa Lucia station! DO NOT follow Google maps, it will send you to the other side of the city! Follow the directions sent by the owner and do not cross any bridges, it's on the station side of Ponte delle Guglie. Call the accommodation if you get lost and they can direct you. Thanks Vladimir for the bottle of cold Muscato on arrival!

I can't say enough positive things about the hospitality provided by Nicolo and the staff at Ca Dei Leoni. I stayed for one night when I got sick and had to extend my stay in Venice at the last minute. Nicolo went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable - his kindness was so appreciated! Although I didn't get to stay for the breakfast, this small hotel is beautiful and is in an excellent location. Central enough to be just a short walk from the main sites but is quiet at night. The hotel felt very venetian with every room named by an Italian artist. When I (hopefully) return to Venice, I will absolutely stay here again!

Great location, safe and quiet, close to shops, restaurants, easy to get to from the mainbus station. In 2 min you can have a nice walk by the canal. The staff was very friendly, they will answer all your questions and give you nice tips e.g. historical places to visit, best gondola rides and allow to leave your luggage for few hours after checkout. They also lent us a corkscrew :) The room was kind of typical old fashioned apartment but clean, warm with all essential ammenities, so cannot complain. There was no choice between continental and Italian breakfast but the croissants with jam and coffee were delicious. It was really pleasant to eat it in the garden too.

If you have more electronic equipment to charge and you want to conviniently do it in 1 room, better plan ahead and take usb hub/splitter etc. - not sure if there were more than 2 spare sockets in the bedroom with one being quite high.

Had a lovely long weekend stay at Ca' Dei Leoni, the staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations, the breakfast was hearty and the room was bigger than expected (included a downstairs living room). The location was close to a water taxi stop to get to and from the airport but away from any noise. Overall really enjoyed our visit and would stay again.

It was lovely and exceeded expectations - nothing to complain about.
