Ambassador Hotel Bangkok - SHA Extra Plus

I stayed in the privilege double in the newer building and the room is 35 sqm which is really nice, the location is good is your are looking for a lively street life, bars and restaurants. I had to renew my stay and could not book the same room for some reasons, so I booked a class beneath that room was horrible dirty and small in the old building, I made a complaint in the reception and they kindly moved me back to my old room. KUDOS for the STAFF. So I can't complain about service or how effective they were.

The security is not really there, it is ok by the entrance to the old building where the reception and valet are located but in the new building after the restaurant closes nobody is there. They give the keys and write the room number on the sleeve for the keys, remember to throw that away if you loose your key in the little key pocket someone knows exactly where your room is and can easily steal everything from your room. Memorize your room number and throw away the key pocket. Last is the amount of prostitute that sit and relax at the hotel property, they do not cause any problems but it might put off some family people, but the entire street is crowded with prostitutes so maybe its not that much of a problem.

I stayed in the sky wing. Firstly, they gave me a room in the main wing which is comparatively old and small. And the bathtub was also broken. I didn't like that room and it was 305. So I told them I didn't like the room so they gave me a room in the sky wing building without upscaling the price. I stayed in 1191 which is a deluxe room and it was pretty good. The big size room with a good view, the bathroom was clean and overall it was a comfortable stay. The location of this hotel is wow. This hotel is at the center point of everything. BTS is very close that's why I used BTS every time. 7 eleven, Starbucks bars, restaurants these are just in 30sec walking distance which is a big save. Taxis, Tuktuks always remain in front of the hotel. And at night the road becomes very happening so that you will never feel bored. The hotel property is big. There are lots of sitting options. There is a tea shop in front of the hotel named "Pagla Cha" where I used to take masala tea and it was so good. Overall I am satisfied with my stay in the ambassador.

With breakfast included the price is higher. That's why I didn't take it from them. I managed my breakfast from Starbucks, Finch and 7 Eleven. And sometimes the housekeeping will clean the room without even asking. Once I went for breakfast, returned back and saw the room was clean whereas I had both keys so how they came to the room I didn't know. So when I asked the receptionist guy they said it's their system. Another thing is, their room telephone doesn't work. So someone needs to go down to talk to them or to eat something. You can't order food from your room.

Great location ( heart of Sukhumvit Soi 11) helpful staff, good facilities,excellent value for money. Super comfy beds. Rooms are very clean with great amenities. excellent air-conditioning, excellent housekeeping. Brilliant location near the entertainment , surrounded by bars, restaurants and clubs but it is also not noisy. Good comfortable rooms with good beds.Staff helped me with early check-in. Good location and easy access to everything. All round good choice of hotel.

The vastness of the premises..considering the location at 11 Soi Sulhumvit, one of the most congested part of the city, the hotel is spread over unlimited place..and the efficiency of the staff handling huge flow of boarders. The view of the skyline of the city was an added charm

The swimming pool is not very easy to negotiate and quite bit away.. Also the hotel of this gigantic proportion had complete failure of telephone system for more than 16 hours..which is absolutely unacceptable.

The rooms were super spacious and everything was conveniently located nearby. There was also a fitness facility available, which was a great opportunity to work out. The staff was professional and helpful.

If there's one thing to improve, it might be the distance to the pool. It would be great to utilize the extra entrance instead of having to walk from the other building to the pool.

Very good hotel in the heart of the city and night life area. superb breakfast.

it took more time in check in. Almost 95 percent guests were Indians. I felt that i was not in Bangkok but in a city in India. unfortunately i lost my feelings of being in beautiful city of Bangkok and culture of Thailand due to many Indians all around in the hotel.

the location is convenient

the room is dated and had issues with the air conditioner leak, the shower and tap did work properly but they were sorted out quite quickly, which was good. The other thing was I wasn’t aware of THB 1000 deposit that was pre authorised and it took quite some time for them to return.

I love the location, Asian cuisine restaurants are nearby, and you will see a lot of Bangladeshi and Bangladeshi shops which will make you feel you never left your home. I felt great and the hotel is very accessible with Taxi, MRT and Tuktuk.

We had to wait until 14:30 for check-in hotel as it was a heavy rush. Although I have notified them well in advance.

decent location

check in took hours. my safe locked my personal items inside and took ages for room service to assist. although i booked double beds, they have us 2 single beds. also, i paid on booking.com but they could not confirm my booking so i had to pay twice and get reimbursed in booking.com. lots of headache.
