The Promenade Hotel - SHA Plus

Location was very convenient close to the BTS (Nana) and MRT (Sukhumvit). Room was clean and spacious. We stayed here 4 nights, however on our 3rd nights there was a strong smell of marijuana from the corridor (might be from other guests'room) into our room. It was quite smelly and unpleasant experience.

Magnificent personal Kind, careless and helpful. Good location, close to the train station NANA which links to the airport. Avoid taxi by all means. You'll get rip off.

I love the location, just off Sukhumvit main drag . Even so , it is very quiet . There's a strongbox in the lobby. The lobby is staffed 24 hours which means that it is very secure . Cleaning staff are very efficient and do a great job. Lots of toiletries. There's a kettle and tea/coffee making facilities. The room is a decent size with a huge and very comfortable bed. The TV has loads of English language channels . The WiFi is good. There's a swimming pool.on the roof. I didn't check it out . My usual Bangkok Hotel is no longer open . The Promenade is much better. I will be back.

The rooms are old and could do with a face'lift. Having said that, the prices reflect this and it is great value for money .

The always friendly staff is very accommodating. It's an easy 2 blocks to the BTS which connects with the airport rail. The rates are competitive. Decent pool and the rooms are spacious with big windows. There's a kind of Wes Anderson feel to the classic hotel vibe.

The pool hours don't start until 8am when I really enjoy an early morning swim. It's closed at night as well. Most hotels do this but I don't know why when it's a rooftop pool.

They have large simple rooms with good a/c and wide windows. The internet is excellent, there is a router in each room. The pool is small, about 9m long but rectangular and usable for laps as it was usually unoccupied (you get a lot of practice turning). The pool has wonderful views and some lounge seating, it was was clean and well kept. They kept my large bag while I traveled for a few days and had a good secure system. I have stayed here a few times and it is only getting better.

Great area, love Soi 8. The quite small hotel is an old building but the rooms are alright. Got a room facing the street and there was no tall buildings blocking the "view", good stuff and good value for money. Roof top pool is great when you want to cool down a bit.

The staff was very friendly when I was there. After i left the hotel (one day before my thai girlfriend), they basically stopped the "hello" and "good morning" greetings to her. Bit surprised by that so i'll probably be more of a bastard when/if i go there again :D

The room was a good size and clean although quite outdated, same goes for the rest of the hotel. I like that it has a rooftop swimming pool although very small, it didnt bother me. I stayed on the 5th floor and my room had a nice view of the city skyline. The location is really good, close to all the crazyness of Sukhumvit yet deep enough in the soi for it to be quiet. Probaby 4min. Walk to bts nana station.

The place is quite outdated and you can hear people talk in their rooms when you're in the corridor.

no breakfast ( but there are restaurants and 7-11 very near ) . hotel looks a little old inside .programme of the pools start at 9.30 in the morning , if possible to start at 6.00 ( like other hotel in Thailand ) will be much better

The rooftop view is just out of this world! Pretty much every direction is quite stunning, you can even see Mahanakhon from there. Add this to a pool right there on the roof and you get a perfect place to chill. If only the roof fence was 100% glass, so you could see everything straight from the pool, that'd be just gorgeous. As of now, you have to actually get out of the pool to see Mahanakhon and that side of the city, but still, it's just great. The room view was basically the same: Mahanakhon and a good portion of Silom BTS line. If you can choose the room, I would recommend the rear (haven't seen the front though, but the rear is just gorgeous). If you pick something ending with 06 (806, for example, the higher the better), you'll be able to enjoy the view straight out of the bed. In -05s you actually have to get out of the bed to enjoy the view completely. Also, the owner, Nina, was really really friendly and helpful. The lady at the counter contacted her since she was unable to help us herself. We had a specific request regarding documents for our visa and she tried to help as much as she could, even though she did not have to at all. Also, she printed our documents for us for free.

The room table is not too comfortable for work and is right in front of AC, but if you don't plan to work there, it's quite ok. The freezer in the fridge was leaking a bit (not too bad, but the ice cream I've left there turned into liquid overnight. The table lockers were a bit smelly, but we didn't use them much, so no big deal as well. The ladies at the counter don't speak English too good, but if you don't have something too uncommon to request, you'll be fine.
