On 8 Sukhumvit Nana Bangkok by Compass Hospitality

If you like small boutique hotels right in the very heart of the throbbing excitement of downtown Bangkok, then this is the place for you. There are two entrances to the property, one from the main street through a high class gentlemen´s tailor shop and right next to the Nana BTS Skytrain station. The other is through an alley filled with the exciting atmosphere of Thai life all around, which is off the Soi 8 street leading from the main Sukhumvit road. A substantial, satisfying breakfast can be bought from a separate enterprise in this alley. A friendly lift ( elevator ) will take you from the lobby up to you room on the relevant floor. The rooms are spacious within the confines of a small building, comfortable,and satisfying. There are no windows but the decor gives an impression that there are. Finally,let´s not tell anyone about this hotel - it's a gem that must be kept secret!

I liked everything

the room was quite and comfortable...water pressure is excellent ..too hot but it was good for me....The location and accessibility to BTS Nana station were excellent. The morning and night shift at reception were friendly and helpful, The Eng. gentleman was efficient and helpful also ( couldn't find where was the switch of one particular bulb and he helped without judging how silly was my request :) Reception helped me booking a taxi for a very early flight at 3am, I liked also the fact that elevator was accessible with room key only.. the two ladies of Housekeeping were sweet and friendly...I will definitely book again. PS: my apologies I didn't write down the names...next time I will :)

The afternoon shift lady (red hair) was not friendly and was rude to the sweet trainee in front of me ..

Saffron King room (407), Clean, Big, Comfortable bed, 4 Big pillows, Big Bathroom, Big Shower, hot water, Nice TV with a lot of Channels, Excellent location...close to restaurants (Viva Sports Bar), Message, Street Foid, Nana Station is a 1 minute walk...Embassy Row & Huge Parks are an easy 20 minute walk! I highly recommend The Breakfast Story chain of restaurants that are within walking distance. Terminal 21 mall is a 10 minute walk...7-11 is a 5 minute walk. You can hail a Taxi, Grab, or Tuk Tuk very easily!!!

It was NOT a problem, however there are no windows or balconies...I really didn't mind, however should be mentioned.

The location is fantastic - very central and within walking distance to many eateries and malls. Also, the BTS is at the doorstep so exploring your favourite places is easy. Street food is at arm's reach too. The room is comfortable with the necessary essentials. The pillows are large and fluffy. Love it! No breakfast this time around as we opted to have hawker food. Overall a really good place and value for money experience. The staff housekeeping and receptionist were very helpful too and willing to assist.

A slight issue with shower drainage. The water is slow to drain so a fix is required. The water pressure and aircon are superb.

Location - the area is very near Nana BTS station, however the entrance near the station's escalator was not open all the time. Room - we got the room that we booked and it was exactly how it looked like in the photo

No breakfast or room service, but there are quite a few bars nearby, as well as street food vendors. When you book grab, it's hard to reach the main entrance of the hotel so you have to use the pin of another establishment, especially when you have luggage or when it's raining, else you will need to walk to the entrance near the BTS (which might take quite some time and you might get rained on).

Hotel location is convenient to travel around the city. Very nearby to BTS Station, after exit from hotel, easy excess by lift to station. Have massage centers just outside of the hotel. Pubs and restaurants are within reach till late hours. Area consider safe to walk around, a very busy street with many vendors selling their goods. Clean Hotel with friendly staff.

It is difficult to look for the hotel if U are new to the place. On8 Sukhumvit, Nana. Many local are not sure of this hotel location. It's hard to find a self-service laundry.

The rooms are spacious, clean and organised, especially I love the generous bathroom space which is super clean as well. The location next to Nana BTS is fantastic. Very kind of the hotel to arrange interconnecting rooms as we are family travellers. The reception staffs are responsive, helpful and friendly.

I am not very particular with the sound and noise due to the entertainment and food outlets from downstairs but for people who are sensitive to this, it has to be taken into consideration. The drainage smell at the lobby and the lobby's restrooms have to be improved. So far we couldn't get any Grab due to the busy traffic and jam outside the hotel's main road but this can be compensated by other modes of transportation.

The On8Sukhumvit boutique hotel surpasses all other hotels for a friendly environment bang in the centre of Bangkok with excellent value for money. Rajas Fashions with made-to-measure gentlemen´s suits is part of the hotel complex. Immediately outside the reception area one is met with all the sights ,smells and sounds of vibrant downtown Bangkok in action.

Some years ago there was actually a cafe/restaurant situated where Rajas Fashions now are! When that closed it was always possible to have a full English breakfast in the hotel itself. Then it was decided to serve continental breakfast only. Since Covid there is now no breakfast available at alll! Not to worry, there are excellent breakfast facilities immediately outside the hotel run by a separate company.

I stayed at this hotel a couple times before COVID so I was quick to book this same day after I missed my flight to Chiang Mai. It's mostly the same. It's very close to Nana BTS which comes in handy to get around the city. It was even more handy having to run back to the hotel in the pouring rain. Lots of heavy rain this summer. Rooms don't have window but I didn't go to Thailand to stay in my room.

I recall last time I stayed at this hotel there was a warning not to bring anyone back to your room and had to agree to that. This is no longer a rule and some of the rooms do seem to be used for working gals. I have no issue with it and just found it amusing. Just thought I would mention that in case its a deal breaker. I never heard anything just saw some people coming in and out of the hotel which made it obvious. I found it interesting to sit outside and watch people duck into the massage place across the alley.

Great location, very quiet room, comfortable room, excellent shower, room cleaning was great. Many food and drinking options nearby. 50m from Nana BTS skytrain station. Easy to get a tuktuk or taxi. Staff were good.

no longer any direct access from Sukhumvit, you need to access from small laneway, very easy to find. There is no longer any cafe or breakfast options at this hotel, but many options within 30m of entrance.
