Armagh City Hotel

The room was large clean and comfortable. One of our rooms overlooked the city which was nice. The bed was so comfortable. It was nice and quiet at night for sleeping. The swimming pool was a good temperature and the booking system meant it wasn't too crowded. Reception staff were very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast had plenty of options and was enjoyable for everyone. Was able to get alternative milk on request for my child with allergies.

The restaurant menu could do with one or two healthier options for those with health reasons for eating healthily. Ordered a sandwich from room service and it was hard to explain dietary requirements as the kitchen was so noisy, although they made a custom sandwich which was appreciated. The silicone in the shower possibly needs replaced.

I booked this hotel for my elderly parents as my dad has impaired ability and it was great that it was on the flat with lifts to help

on arrival my mum and dad were treated exceptionally well someone helped them to their room with their bags and aided them to enter their bedroom but when checking out this morning my dad brought the car up to the door to load their luggage in to the car and were told quite abruptly they shouldn’t have the car there. my mum was carrying luggage out to the car because dad isn’t fit they are 82 and 83 respectively I am disappointed that they were not shown the same curtesy this morning as they were on Thursday evening however they did enjoy there stay and the hotel was perfect for their needs ☹️ my mum and dad are regular visitors to this area as I live in markethill hopefully this will not put them off staying at the hotel in the future.

Reception was excellent and very professional. We had a meal in the restaurant at the hotel (dinner) and found it extremely expensive. I got 3 profiteroles with a teaspoon of ice cream for £8.00 and my partner got an apple crumble for £8.50. The main course (we both had roast beef) was very good and actually value for money! The breakfast was very good, although I would have liked a choice of eggs!

As stated above, the sweets at dinner were very small and not value for money! Staff at breakfast were not very friendly or attentive. Took us several goes to get staff’s attention - keep in mind the sign at the front said ‘Please wait to be seated’

This recently refurbished hotel offers excellent value for money. The staff are very friendly & helpful and the food is of high quality, although perhaps a little bit on the expense side. The rooms and ensuite are well appointed & very comfortable and of course the spa facilities are free to guests. Entertainment on the Friday evening was also very enjoyable. The town along with other attractions are close by and I would very much suggest a visit to the "Navan Centre" All in all, the quality this hotel offers is of an extremely high standard for only having been awarded 3 stars.

Great location, lovely friendly staff & room was lovely-bright, clean & modern. I didn't request an accessible room but staff were willing to change my room if I wanted. They were very helpful both at reception & in the bar. I was unable to get to breakfast due to my illness but I was able to get my breakfast brought to my room no problem which was a great help.

I was disappointed that there were no automatic doors at the entrance. As a wheelchair user this proved difficult for access when I was alone. I didn't get exactly what I requested for breakfast & had to phone down to get the rest of it brought up. Only a minor inconvenience.

It looked like the room and bathroom had been recently been refurbished so both were really lovely. It was clean and bright. I didn't notice any Aircon and the room was warm so we kept the windows open to keep the room cooler as it was hot outside. The only method of finding out what was in the directory was through a QR code which I didn't like. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast had a good choice without having too much. They are upgrading bedrooms so there was a bit of noise but not a lot. The hotel is in a good location.

That the only way to see what was in the Directory was to use a QR code and I couldn't see any air conditioning.

People shouting and jumping in the bar while checking. my room (123) you could also hear them shouting. Tap in the bathroom of room 123needs to be replaced

The people. Friendly consumate professionals. Could not possibly find a single thing to complain about. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for. Personally i was very sad to have to come back home to costa Blanca. Henk, Rowland , Peter and Orla are now my new best friends. Walking into the hotel was like walking into your best friends house. The welcome was amazing and they even had a packed lunch ready for me at 4 am for the flight back. Absolutely fantastic and friendly staff. Smiling hapoy people makes for smiley happy guests. Armagh City Hotel have got it spot on. I cant wait to go back.

The rain.

The front end staff were welcoming and very friendly .I asked if I could have walk in shower and they sorted that for me with no fuss at all ,which by the way the shower was fantastic. Later in the bar we had a meal and the young lad that looked after us was so good, friendly professional .I can't remember his name I think it was conor or callum ! The food and breakfast was all very tasty .and although it was very busy the bar staff were very friendly really enjoyed my stay the whole experience gave the hotel a relaxed atmosphere.

Nothing at all if I was being wee bit picky I'd say that there was no iron in the room .

From we entered the door the staff were so helpful and had a smile on there face, nothing was a bother to them ☺️our food was beautiful and served very quick even though there was a large, crowd all the young staff were so plesent and attentive. We were at the show an it was well worth it again staff and security were helpful and plesent. We will be back. Room was perfect and very. clean as the walk in shower with aids was great for my needs. Thank you so much for making our stay so good would recommend to my friends. 👏👏👏😊
