Lanhydrock Hotel & Golf Club

All staff were great and efficient. First class customer service. Room clean. Bed comfortable. Plenty of parking. Shower had hose as well as fixed overhead. Outside patio with seating provided and great views. Food good with exception of bacon.

Lack of adequate bright lighting made it difficult for partner to do make up. Breakfast good overall but very very poor bacon and felt cheaper quality than previous visit. Loud wedding party made continuous noise in corridor, restaurant and music played and very audible in room until late. Good luck to the happy couple but hotel should have notified us in advance so we could have come at quieter time.

Spacious reception and public bright and welcoming. Room clean and comfortable with friendly staff. Bar / lounge area overlooking golf course was pleasant albeit geared towards the golfing fraternity. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice.

Absence of aircon in the room necessitates opening window casement for ventilation, fine on upper floor but as we were located on ground floor the room felt a little unsafe. TV was a little on the small side for size of room and the controller felt old and “sticky” for my liking. Choice of food in Bar/ Lounge a little limited, liquid beverages however, very good.

Welcoming & helpful staff. Very clean facilities. Comfortable room/beds. Very quiet & peaceful location. Dinner good value for money with generous portions. Breakfast (included) was excellent with really good variety of things to choose from. Freshly cooked & again very generous portions. Delicious smoked salmon & scrambled eggs. Had problem with TV remote control which was instantly rectified by reception staff.,

Would have preferred more ‘fresh vegetable’ options on dinner menu.

The staff were super friendly and obliging. The room was large and comfortable. Everything was spotlessly clean. Although only a bar menu was available for food the standard was exceptionally high. Breakfast was especially good with lots of home made special touches. We weren't there to play golf but the course looked absolutely beautiful. Car parking is excellent, we even had a gathering of our car club in the afternoon with coffee and cake.

Nothing we didn't actually like. More choice for an evening meal would have been good but what was available was beautifully cooked and presented. Personally I felt the towel quality in the room was poor but that's a very minor point.

By far the best 3 star hotel I’ve stayed in. I was working in Cornwall so I chose something different from the usual premier inn. Lovely staff and a smashing restaurant with beautiful views over the golf course. Very quiet, so refreshing not to have to listen to hotels doors banging all night . And next time we stay my nephew owes one of the ladies a lighter as we borrowed theirs and he forgot to return it. Also a big thanks to the staff who made us sausage sandwiches to take away with us as we had to leave before breakfast started.

My stay was exceptional. I loved it. My only suggestion would be to have a cheaper rate for business travellers and give the big hotel chains a run for their money.Or 2 rooms for the price of one if the hotel in not busy. It wasn't nice having to listen to my nephew snore in the bed next to me all night.

Excellent staff, Clare who worked in the bar/ dining room was exceptional.

The shower was a problem as there was a lot of leaking over the bath from it. Solved by adjusting the shower door. The bathroom needs updating. It would be nice to have a small fridge in the room.

Beautiful location! The staff were welcoming, very friendly, and accommodated to our dietary needs when requested. We stayed in the Luxury Double Room for 3 nights, which was very clean and spacious. We enjoyed having our own little seating area outside of our room, which had beautiful views of the grounds. The hotel itself was well situated, and we would definitely stay here again.

Great rural location. Very quiet.Good sized room with excellent en suite facilities. Breakfast and bistro meals fine. Compared with my last 2 recent Booking.com 'hotels' this was way above them in every respect. 🙂

The beds were 2 singles. Not really an issue and they could be pushed together. I am sure the hotel would have provided double bed linen had I asked.🙁

Lanhydrock had everything we needed for a base visiting relatives and exploring this end of Cornwall. It was lovely and quiet overnight. Besides plenty of car parking, they also provided secure indoor space for our bicycles.

I would have added one more star for a fridge in the room. At this price point for accommodation, this is something one would expect.

Hotel was lovely. Our room was so peaceful with great views over the golf course. The request for a ground floor room was also accommodated with an outside seating area, which was great. The room was a great size, bathroom was huge. The staff were lovely and helped immediately with my request for softer pillows. Breakfast was excellent as was the food in the bar. Location was excellent, very central to everything but easy to get to.

My only slight disappointment was the size of the bed. The description a description I read led me to believe the beds were a king but the bed was a double. Not a massive deal but when you are used to sharing a king a smaller bed takes some getting used to! Sadly the gym was shut due to covid which was disappointing but not the hotel’s fault.
