Britannia Leeds Bradford Airport

Very clean and well maintained, couldn't fault the room, well decorated and airy, with the most fabulous curtains. Our 2 dogs were made welcome, and not frowned upon like some large hotels we've stayed in! Didn't have the hotel food as we checked in too late and left early, but the restaurant looked lovely and very clean and modern. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

There was no room service, so we ordered a takeaway from one of the many local restaurants. It was awful, but not the hotel's fault, obviously.

Its a great location for our requirements

The 'pet friendly' aspect is misleading. The dog was not allowed in the restaurant (as expected) or the bar area (not expected) so we were unable to eat at the hotel as planned.

Good value for money. Full range of services. Staff were most helpful, especially in according a one-hour late check-out without hesitation or an extra charge, which made our lives so much easier.

1. Further from airport than we had anticipated (given it describes itself as an “airport” hotel) - the taxi ride from/to the airport was £18 each way. 2. A little tired and run-down: could do with some updating. Having stayed in two or three other Britannia hotels over the years, we have the impression that the managing company is letting their assets gradually run down and just milking them for whatever revenue/profit they can get. 3. More attention to cleaning in the room is needed, especially in the bathroom - the toilet bowl had urine stains on the outside, there were human hairs in the bath and wall tiles were splashed (don’t dare to think with what …). 4. Common areas were cold, but it was at the beginning of the current freezing snap of weather.

Helpful staff

I contacted the hotel a while ago and asked to pre-book room 204. I received an e mail from Megan advising me that this had been arranged. However, on arrival at the hotel I was advised that this room had been taken. I was allocated Room 302 which was a very nice room, however only had one double bed, plus a sofa. I had a friend with me and she had to sleep on the sofa, with no bed linen being available. She used the extra cover that was on the main bed. Luckily she is very small. I will probably be booking the hotel again as it is very convenient for me, however when I am advised that I have been pre-allocated a room I really expect to get that room.

The room was very clean and extremely comfortable. A little smaller room than your average. Well presented and clean.

Parking charges were expensive, and run by parking eye who are a bunch of crooks. No need for parking charges here, its secluded enough to put off people parking and going elsewhere. Patrons should be allotted free parking here. I think this is a touch below the belt.

The hotel has just refurbished all the rooms so .New carpets and seems like new matresses ,very comfortable and bright ,great bathroom ,good sized rooms in a really cool countryside location but still close to the airport ,Rooms are never noisy car park is fast and ive always been able to find parking ,And staff every meber is friendly approacable articulate and happy to help .Plus it is so affordbale great value for money

This was an emergency booking on behalf of relatives who live nearby, as their water and heating had failed after an attempted repair in a cold snap. Booked for the same night, they were given a nice large room on the upper floors and had a quiet night in the warm. Staff were very understanding with them and knew (after a call from me) of them coming, etc. It is no-frills but the price and cancellation flexibility - very competitive with the nearest budget chain - was also much appreciated as it was not a 'holiday'.

Room was comfortable and surprisingly quiet considering the size of the hotel. Pool and hot tub were lovely. Plenty of breakfast was available. Convenient location and easy parking.

I wasn't expecting to pay extra for parking - that was stated as free when I booked a week earlier. Breakfast choice was a little limited - no fresh fruit and only occasional pastries which other guests got to before me both days. Breakfast finished early at 9am so I had to get up earlier than expected. A lot of light came into the room at night from around the door but I solved that by putting a coat on the floor and leaving the cupboard door open to block it! A bigger sign by the entrance would be useful - I drove past it twice!

The hotel is really nice and the staff are friendly and nice, me and my little boy where coming by bus and the hotel let us know which bus to catch from Ledds city centre, the bust stop is a maximum 5 mins walk from the hotel. The hotel was a price and location was good to get to the airport the next day. The hotel also booked a taxi for us to go to the airport the next morning. We where out before breakfast but you can pay to have a 3 course meal in the evening, which is a great value for money. The rooms are spacious nice and clean.

There is many things I liked, the room was very spacious and clean. The staff was excellent and went beyond expectation. I was attending a course at the hotel for the week, the staff was exceptional helpful for our course and the tutor via providing food, snacks and hot and cold drinks throughout the days. The facilities was great including the restaurant.

Nothing I didn't like. Everything went as expected.
