Village Hotel Leeds North

When booking this hotel I sent them a message on booking.com to let them know it was our first holiday abroad with our stepdaughter the following day and asked if they could do anything to make our stay special. To our absolute delight they upgraded our room made towel swans and put rose petals on the bed and left us some treats and freebies with a really kind note. We were blown away with their generosity.

No complaints except the room service app wouldn’t work and we suspect the night reception staff might have been smoking we’d together as we could smell it when we left in the early hours of the morning :/

Very comfortable bed and the room was adequate size for our purposes. The location of the hotel was very convenient, we we’re returning to Leeds/Bradford airport in the early hours and it is just a 15 min drive away. Access to hotel was good although the car park direction signs water a little hard to see. Overall for the price we paid I thought it was good value for money.

We arrived at 3am returning from a flight and the airport noise began around 6am. The room was clean although the carpet looked as though it could do with a refresh. The car park signs were a little difficult to see in the dark and the rain.

We stayed here because we had an early flight at Leeds Bradford Airport. We had dinner in the pub grill and we wrote it off as 'pub food'. Don't! It was absolutely delicious. And it was busy with a fun, lively atmosphere. There was free parking (Friday night) which is always a bonus. The room was spotless and modern in decor. Better than I thought. I wish I lived nearer so I could use the gym. The idea of stopping at the bar afterwards, as some did, seemed very tempting!

There are nearer hotels to the airport. Booking.com said 4 miles, I think it was about 7-8 but so long as you know that, it was still a good hotel.

Excellent service. We arrived early and asked if we could check in early and were initially told it wasn't possible. We were staying for a music festival and sat in the hotel bar to have a quick drink before heading out and the receptionist came to find us to tell us that rooms had just become available if we did want to check in early, for no extra charge. This made our whole day much easier as we weren't able to return to the hotel until midnight meaning we would have had to leave our bags in our car. On top of that, the rooms were lovely, clean and spacious and very comfortable and excellent value for money.

everything was nice the building the location the grounds are pretty lots of car park space too. the rooms easy to find stairs lift everything there what you need. the food was very nice also the wedding venue fantastic and the dinner and evening buffet everything was lovely I enjoyed staying at this hotel. the bride and groom chose well.

the only thing I wasn’t happy with was the pillows very uncomfortable and if I placed 2 it be too much. also when getting in the bath for a shower it’s quite high climbing over and not much to hold onto and I slipped the first evening luckily I grabbed the shower screen but I cud have maybe broken it but good I didn’t. so maybe a Handle bar to hold on to would be very helpful. apart from that I loved it thank you.

The room was comfortable (bed was fantastic!) and well equipped with kettle, TV, etc. The room was quiet apart from neighbours closing their doors with a loud bang (happened far too often and could be resolved with soft closing doors). Location was excellent for us visiting friends locally. No traffic noise at all. No noise from the pub below.

We paid £12.50 each for a very average breakfast...akin to a much less expensive B&B. Poor quality food, poor selection of healthy options which surprised us given proximity to the health spa. Our bathroom was not well cleaned at all. No slip mat in the bath made it awkward getting in and out the shower.

Club rooms were very nice and spacious very clean and fully equipped. Staff very pleasant and helpful .

.The food menu could be more varied and not so spicy for people who cannot eat it due to stomach problems. The breakfast was plenty but it was not warm so a microwave would be appreciated for people to reheat their food. Also the babys highchairs need a tray fitted on the front for safety. I did assist a mother on her own with a baby of 11 months old as the baby was able to twist out of the chair and stand up. I offered to fetch whatever she needed for breakfast. Their was no tray to put the babys food on. I will be staying regular every 2 - 3 months. to visit my Granddaughter. I would appreciate any offers on the Club room and food . Staff were absolutely fantastic, all staff were polite and very helpful. We had a leak in our room they moved us straight away.

I visited this hotel with my partner as we were going to the Leeds game and it was our 1 year anniversary. The hotel was lovely and did the room up for us we was so thankful for this but before we left we felt water dripping onto the bed we had a leak in our room. Before heading to the rugby we needed to get this sorted so myself went and spoke to reception to let them know they moved us rooms straight away and offered to help us with our things. When we went to the other room it was nothing like the room we was in before, we had a smaller bed and the Bathroom wasn’t great. We really liked the room we was in before noticing the leak. My only issue was that we had been moved to a smaller room and couldn’t enjoy the set up we’d had done in the 1st room.

The hotel was very nice and more than do us for the night we spent there. The staff was very helpful with multiple self-service kiosks in the lobby to check yourself in straight away so no delays. The bar/restaurant on-site was great and not badly priced. We only had drinks here, but the general atmosphere was lovely. The Starbucks on-site was especially helpful in the morning. Excellent quality for the price. Uber to Leeds city centre was only £7 odd also which made it easy to get into the city centre for the evening.

Loved the size of the bed. The red chair was comfortable. The hand wash smelt lovely. The room was very clean. The chest box on the tea tray was lovely.

The tv could do with putting on the wall instead of the table, also sort thr aerial so you can watch the channel all the time as it kept cutting in and out. No need for the lamp in the corner I kept hitting my head. A plug socket down the side of the bed would good. But most of the main bedroom doors. They are a tight fit and other people slammed them, which made us jump. This went on till past midnight. So they could do with sorting. The shower could do with either a conditioner or shower gel instead of to shampoos. Aor conditioning wouldn't go a miss as it was very hot in the room and the fan supplied was really noisy
