Corn Mill Lodge Hotel

Breakfast was delicious and a great choice, the room was clean and airy , service was excellent and the restaurant manager was a delight , and the evening dinner was yummy too and a good variety of food , bedroom was spotless and the chamber maids were really friendly , the courtyard was pleasant and very clean and the grounds were well kept, perfect location for town easy ( very cheap ) bus service

mmmmm bed was a little hard for me but mum said it was great , and was disappointed the bar was closed in the afternoon , would of loved a drink outside as the weather was blazing ,

I stayed in a family room with my two children. It was spacious and "just like the photos" according to my kids. The receptionist was super-friendly and helpful, and I reparked my very full car so that it was in view of the cctv cameras. It was great to have tea/coffee/hot chocolate facilities, and a hairdryer.

The room was fine but the decor somewhat dated and the cleanliness wasn't great. There was a variety of rubbish under the beds (spotted by my kids - socks, bottles, tissues, a ball, dust clumps). I also needed to wash the cups and spoons before using.

it was chosen because it had a large free car park and other reviews were positive. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. The restaurant was very good indeed.

The bed was too soft for me. Unfortunately I suffer with a back problem so didn’t sleep well. That was the reason we left a day early. Obviously not the hotel’s fault. The room wasn’t well lit enough. The bedside lamps didn’t give off enough light to read by. The bedside tables were too small, had to remove phone from one in order to have somewhere to put my book. Ditto the corner table holding the kettle etc. too small also. Bathroom OK, large and designed for a person with some disability. However apart from a very small glass shelf at side of wash basin there was nowhere to put any toiletries, contact lens case etc.

About 4 miles from Leeds City centre but in a quiet area. Good access to the main roads. Room was what was expected. The Receptionist on arrival was brilliant, friendly and very helpful. Appeared to love her job. The buffet breakfast was very good and the evening meals were very very good, well presented and plentiful. The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful throughout. I would certainly go out of my way to stay at this hotel again if I was visiting the area

Can't say anything bad about the place. We perhaps should have used the public bus transport which had a stop outside the hotel.

A lovely country and homely feel. We were warmly greeted despite our late arrival at midnight and made to feel welcome. The bed was comfortable and the room well appointed. The breakfast was excellent with plenty on offer.

A cleaner barging into our room without knocking! The old dusty fan needed to circulate the warm air in our room. At least we could leave the windows open, except when restaurant patrons were noisy and there was a mosquito because of the lack of screens.

Reception was welcoming and helpful, breakfast was opened early for Leeds Marathon runners, dinner was generous and well served. A big car park was helpful/ convenient.

Plug sockets either side of the bed would be useful. One bedside light not working. The sloping roof to very low made negiotiating the room down one side a bit of a trial. The location is convenient for car arrival but it is in a dull spot from which walking isn't joyful. Dinner, though plentiful was a bit average (nice piece of fish but too greasy).

From the minute we arrived we were met with a lovely friendly receptionist. Who ran thru everything with us and said we were in the attic room on the top floor. We proceeded to our room 210 to be pleasantly surprised with our room. Yes it's compact. But there is everything you need in there. Plenty of supply of tea & coffee.. good size bathroom. Comfy bed.. iron & ironing board.. Fan as well which is a huge bonus..Plenty of hangers to hang your clothes.. And spotlessly clean !!! We stayed here as we were fed up of paying the big chain hotels astronomical prices.. And we were certainly not disappointed. We were going to the arena for a gig & it was great to get a taxi into the center.. it costs around £8.. The night. Porter was super friendly and funny when we arrived back after 12.30am that morning after the gig. Couldn't do enough to help. Next morning we had breakfast and it was the best breakfast I have had in any hotel (and I have stayed in many).. The poached eggs were perfection.. The waitress on duty that morning was friendly and funny & went out of her way for everyone... So anyone looking for a great stay and great service. Then give the Corn Mill Lodge a whirl.. Yes it's a little dated but that's not what you are staying there for..It's a great base for everything you need... We will book the Corn Mill every time we visit Leeds for a gig.. So Thank You we will certainly see you again very soon...

Lovely reception and dining staff. Big comfy room with comfortable beds. 2 roofs windows which gave lots of light although it " felt" a little strange and not quite as airy, when you're used to "windows in the wall". Plenty of room for parking. Nice courtyard area which was usually quite smokey (as it was the only place to smoke) so a little uncomfortable to just sit and have a quiet family drink.

We had an evening meal which was very poor. So sad as we liked everything else. The hotel was next to a very busy roundabout so traffic noise was a constant til late and built up early. Disappointing but unfortunate. Breakfast was nice but hot food choice was limited.

The breakfast and dinner were excellent. As we're the staff in the restaurant and bar. Jamie went above and beyond. The room was clean and had good decor

On arrival reception staff were very rushed. One member of staff actually put her head in her hands on the desk and looked as if she was going to cry, I asked if she was OK her colleague said she had had a couple of bad days, if she had problems she should not have been at work. It was unprofessional and not a good first impression. When we asked about the local bus information she said that neither of them lived locally. So didn't know.

The staff were really welcoming and friendly! The room itself was clean, comfortable and cosy! The food was delicious and excellent! Very accommodating of intolerances too!

Literally the only thing I take issue with is we unfortunately had a very loud woman next door to us and we could hear every single part of her conversation. We reached out to reception and they were very quick to act, asking the woman to quiet down, but she carried on and we just dealt with it - in hindsight we could have asked to move rooms and im sure the hotel would have accommodated that for us if we'd asked.
