There was no heating or hot water in the room on the 2 nights. A small heater was delivered along with a hamper breakfast. We knew about this breakfast as it was for Christmas Day when Hotel was closed. Cooked breakfast on 26Dec was fine. Booked again for 29December 2022, 2 rooms, still no heating or hot water. Cancelled this booking and spoke to Manager at Wheatsheaf Hotel who agreed to waive cancellation fee. I have attempted to contact Booking.com without success. Hope you will act on this information asap.

No heating or hot water meant we couldn't have showers. Otherwise stay was fine.

Corbridge is a fantastic village and the Wheatsheaf was very much a value for money hotel with tremendous hospitality! Haylie and the Wheatsheaf team couldn't do enough to help and made us feel really welcome. Breakfasts were delicious too!

There was a problem with the heating and we had no hot water but this was unfortunate and by no means the fault of the staff. Haylie was very apologetic and made sure our rooms were supplied with heaters which made the rooms comfortable.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a very pleasant young man who sorted our booking. Showed us to our room and even offered to carry our bags. When we returned downstairs a couple with their son(about 10ths old), were playing darts and immediately apologised if he was a bit noisy but he wasn’t at all. They even offered to buy us a drink. We ate in the wheatsheaf and the meal and service was excellent. The staff were young but very friendly and polite a credit to the pub. Breakfast was excellent too.

Our trip was excellent from the moment we booked in to the minute we booked out. The staff were helpful cheerful and courteous. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was a good choice of menu We didnt have to wait long for service and the food was hot

There wasn't anything we didnt like about our stay. It was close to the local shops and within walking distance of Roman Corbridge.

Convenient location at edge of village. Breakfast was good. Had to fill in form day before, which was fine, but we weren't given a form for the second night, and when we returned in the evening the bar was very crowded with a band playing so we didn't venture in to ask. Would be better to leave them in the room.

Our room was not serviced but extra tea, coffee, loo roll, etc was left outside our door. Not sure why this was but not a problem. There was no shower riser rail or curtain, shower head was intended for use while sitting in bath which wasn't made clear on booking. A bit noisy on the Sat night as a band was playing and the bar was very busy, but this was to be expected.

Comfortable, well priced accommodation in Corbridge with plenty of amenities on the doorstep. Our room was a good size with a very comfy bed and plenty of hot water available in the shower room. Although you order your hot breakfast in advance the night before, it is freshly cooked to order and was very tasty. All the staff were helpful and friendly. The onsite carpark is a huge bonus given how difficult it is to park in Corbridge. Overall, excellent value for money.

Only 2 very minor issues - another chair in the bedroom would have been nice and there were a couple of lightbulbs needing replacement in the shower room.

the bed was really comfortable and clean, after long journey from the south I had the best night sleep in weeks, woke up fresh and ready to explore the area. very easy access to the hotel room, separated from the main pub, which is great, very friendly staff, I enjoyed myself.

early check out time, which is 10am, every other place around require check out an hour later. extra hour in this comfy bed would be amazing, specially on holiday away from the city, apart from this no other issues. great place

Breakfast was excellent. We were visiting family in the area so didn't eat more meals in the hotel. Cleanliness was excellent. Staff were friendly and keen to please. Our room was clean and quiet but why in hot weather did they keep closing the window which had been difficult to open in the first place?

Seems a little rundown since our last visit

The location was great, we were at a wedding at Healy barn so wasn’t far. We had a great warm welcome by the staff and got checked in quickly. The room was nice and spacious and very clean, the breakfast was lovely also great choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

The bed that was in the room was dated didn’t feel very sturdy. The room was very hot maybe a fan in the room would be helpful

We decided to break our journey from Scotland to Derbyshire and choose the Wheatsheaf because it was close to the A68. It was a great choice! The hotel was superb in every way! An attractive building in an attractive village, close to the River Tyne. Lovely, friendly staff, especially Ash, who is the most polite young man we’ve come across in many years! We ate in the restaurant and had the best fish and chips ever. Breakfast was superb too. We would definitely recommend the Wheatsheaf
