2 night stay at Coach and Horses. Bedroom very comfortable , clean and nicely decorated. High quality pillows, which is far from typical. Breakfast was good standard. Ate dinner in restaurant one evening - both of us really impressed with chicken and leek pie. Staff very pleasant, accommodating and friendly, especially Cameron and the hotel manager. Good range of beers. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Nothing.

The Coach and Horses is perfectly situated in the heart of Hexham. Walking distance from the historic market place, Abbey, pubs and restaurants. Situated at the back of the property, room six had no view, but it was very quiet, thick carpets and furnishings meant nothing was heard from a busy bar. The room was very luxurious as a whole, the bed was very, very comfortable. Beautiful furnishings with a clean fresh bathroom. Staff were warm, friendly and helpful.

Room six would benefit from some sort of extractor/ airconditioning as the single window didn't open and it was a little stuffy. Breakfast was basic, lacked a bit of love. Parking was a bit tricky.

Beautiful newly renovated room over a restaurant and pub with good selection of food and drinks. Breakfast was huge and the chef cooked everything perfectly. One of the nicest BandB breakfasts I have ever had. Staff were friendly and helpful. I cannot recommend highly enough, I would definitely stay again if in the area.

Saturday night turn out time at the pub led to drunken people speaking loudly below the window that woke me up. This is not the fault of the hotel. The walls are well insulated. Despite loud music and people singing in the pub throughout the evening, I could not hear it upstairs in the room.

very central. room, which was a “Delux” room was very nice, large bathroom and plenty of little extras like face masks etc. breakfast was good, very clean and very friendly staff. have lots of advice about Hadrians Wall etc. parking was an experience - free but a bit complicated with time limits in certain areas etc but the Coach and horses gave us a parking disc which provided the free parking in Hexham and all over Northumberland for that matter.

we liked everything. they had a “Coffee or Tea special” at £3.99 which included a scone or cake etc which was very competitively priced we thought.

Everything from the location, the room was outstanding, modern with every extra touch you could want. Would recommend staying for breakfast because the full English was phenomenal. Just one more thing to add, and that's just to say a massive thanks to Ian who took care of us during our stay. He's got a knack of being there when you need him but never in your face, just a really friendly guy. Staff wise ian's the star of the show, and whoever owns the coach and horses is lucky to have him.

Absolutely nothing accommodation wise. Just the rain, tons of it.

The host was very welcoming and informative. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were exceptionally clean, tastefully decorated and felt extremely luxurious. The bed was so comfy. Pristine. There was lots of high quality toiletries, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and soaps. Hair dryer and fan were all tidied away in a delightful ottoman. The breakfast was first class. Fresh fruit, yoghurts, juices, pastries and then a choice of cooked breakfasts. It came piping hot, the portion size was magnificent. The town itself is certainly worth exploring with its beautiful Abbey, the Market and lots of interesting individual shops. The only thing I’m disappointed in was we only stayed for one night and wished it could have been longer.

Excellent customer service. Ian went out of his to direct us to a suitable parking space as roadworks were in progress. The room was amazing, filled with little extras even face masks, dressing robes and slippers. Very clean, warm and cosy . Our evening meal was delicious and very fairly priced. The breakfast was lovely and lady who served us was very friendly . Probably one of the best places we have stayed in. Thank you

Current roadworks make parking a little tricky . However plenty of car parks in the area.

Busy pub on the main street. Free parking with a disc (which they give you) across the road - I got a space on Saturday lunchtime. Three real ales in the bar. Just ate a burger which was fine. Star of the show was the room itself, large and very well equipped- I’m not sure I’ve ever slept in a bigger bed! Staff were friendly and helpful- even when I locked myself out…

Room was warm so I opened the window… and was treated to the singing of homeward bound drunks in the street until 3am… I only found the complementary ear plugs in the morning 🤣

The room was well equipped with tea and coffee and toiletries etc. The hotel was well positioned in the centre of the town. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent, especially the cod loin.

The room we were in was above the kitchen and didn’t have an opening window, so got quite hot in spite of the large fan. The hotel doesn’t have a car park and there are roadworks going on opposite, which made it a bit inconvenient.

Attention to detail was really good. Very comfortable bed, beautifully decorated room and spotlessly clean. Lovely atmosphere - staff friendly and welcoming. We'd been warned by the hotel that it can be noisy - there were road works early one morning , but apart from that, our room was at the front by the road and we couldn't hear anything. Great location - very ose to rail and bus stations.

Nothing!
