The location, room, and staff were all very good and the village of Acomb is really lovely with very good dog walking facilities. The real ale in the bar was excellent!

There was nothing to dislike but we were a little disappointed that the kitchen facilities were closed. I do think that I should have been informed of this fact by you before I booked. The Sun Inn did inform me before we arrived and the staff did their best by allowing us to eat a takeaway in the bar area and provided plates and cutlery. (Not their fault but the Indian takeaway was disappointing - don't order the masala sauce It was bright red and disgusting!)

Everything was lovely! Staff were great, told us exactly what we needed to know. The room itself was exactly as pictured and very clean and tidy. Bathroom was also clean and also had free shower gel etc to use. Staff gave us another key along with our room so we didn't have to keep going through the bar downstairs, which was great! I drove to the location and although they don't have specific parking spots, I easily found a parking space along the street. Hexham was relatively quiet, and you couldn't hear any noise from the pub downstairs and could only hear the street if you opened the window

Everything was brill! The only thing that I suppose could be better was that the curtains weren't very thick so it let a lot of light in on the morning but then again I didn't mind much as we had to leave early !

Management and staff very friendly and helpful. The whole pub and accommodation was spotless. Breakfast was excellent 10/10. Accepted dogs and no charge, great area out side for the dogs in the garden where they are allowed to be off lead.

Very few Buses some 2 hourly, had to use Taxi's £10 - £12 a trip to Hexham. You need a list of taxi's as the companies seem to do as they like and they can say they will only be available up to 6 hours, but using the list of Taxi's we managed to get to and Fro.

The Sun Inn located in a small village in Hexham. we stayed a night as part of our Hadrian wall hiking trail. we were greeted by a lovely lady and very clean room and nicely presented with some extra beverage than usual hotel. additional to usual tea and coffee and we had a snack bar, juice and breakfast cereal. it was a nice gesture as they were unable to offer breakfast. As they were unable to offer food the proprietor offered for us to us the lounge, cutlery and crockery for us to use with a takeaway.

TV in some room is small.

The host was extremely hospitable, going above and beyond to help us out. She even offered to lend us her car because the nearby bus was off due to roadworks. The breakfast was top-notch. The pub below is a traditional British pub that is full of local characters. Was a great 3 days for the money we paid!

We couldn’t fault anything for the price we’d paid.

Located in a charming village just outside Hexham, this is a pub with accommodation upstairs. It is comfortable and the landlord/landlady are helpful and welcoming. This is a good location for visitors wanting to visit sites along Hadrian's Wall.

Food is no longer served by the establishment and there are no nearby restaurants. One has to either drive into Hexham for a restaurant or order take-away delivery. The take-away food we ordered on two occasions was very good!

We used this as a stop on our way home from Orkney and to see a part of Hadrian’s wall. The room was clean and carefully furnished and decorated. The en suite was well equipped and roomy enough. It was a quiet location. Bed comfortable. Great to have the bar open. Very friendly welcome.

Sadly no breakfasts and no food which did spoil our stay although it was made clear to us. Had to drive into Hexam which was a nuisance as we were there for a break from driving. We realise it is the owners way of dealing with COVID but having stayed at several places over our holiday all the others provided food albeit less than normal.

Village pub, much like our own. Friendly welcome from the staff AND the customers. No meals were provided (which we were made aware of at booking) but the porridge pots and health bars started us off. The licencees recommended 2 local takeaways (which we used) and provided plates, cutlery, napkins, etc, and a semi-private dining room for our use. Small, well kept beer garden to the side and rear, accessible only from the pub - lovely in the evening sun! Comfortable bedrooms. Located just outside Hexham and ideal for our visits to Hadrian's Wall.

it was quite close to Hexham and a quiet village. Lovely part of the country when we drove up out of the village beautiful views. very clean throughout.

there was no hot water in the basin, the bed was a bit wobbly, and no 2nd drink or porridge pot on the 2nd morning also if we had both wanted a cup of tea on the second morning we would have been disappointed.
