The Willow House

Stayed here fir 3 nights, a week ago. Very easy to find and good parking. Nice spacious room. Extra facilities because restaurant not open early in the week. If you read your info before leaving it does tell you this. Basic breakfast is topped up in the room each day. Was very nice and great having a fridge with fresh milk, juice and tea making items. Also microwave, plates etc and cutlery. Room was very hot due to radiator not turning off. Owner came straight away, rectified it and got us a fan. Would definitely return.

One tiny critique….perhaps get some black out linings for the cream light coloured curtains.

The owner went out of his way to make sure I breakfast food I could eat due to my restricted diet. I liked the ‘fresh milk’ in the fridge and the fact there was also a microwave, cutlery and dishes. Everything needed really. Free car park and right on the village high street with all kinds of shops, pubs etc.

Lovely Hotel in the High Street therefore very close to amenities and a 10 minute walk to see my family. Beautiful room with little extras added such as breakfast cereals, toast, yoghurt and juice at no extra charge and a microwave and fridge provided .. lovely and clean .. staff friendly and very helpful .. food absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced .. would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending The Willow House.

Great communication with accommodation, via txt, email or through booking.com app. Room was lovely spacious, tidy, clean, great facilities and added extras microwave and fridge. DIY breakfast great idea and worked perfectly for us. Although didn't actually encounter any staff,as your given clear instructions of how to get to your room and number for key box, via txt message prior to arrival, this is brilliant idea because sometimes I find when staying at hotels you feel under pressure to get there by certain check in times, this just made it more relaxed break, check in available till 11pm, but I'm sure if there was a problem or was going to arrive later The Willow house would accommodate. If you did want a full English or any form of cooked breakfast this option is available at an additional cost and pre-ordered. Overall The Willow house certainly ticked all the boxes for me and would certainly use again.

Nothing I didn't like, but if anything would suggest maybe bath sheets rather than a bath towel, but that's just my personal preference.

The staff at The Willow House is very friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond to make you feel like home. The pub next to the accommodation serves the best food we have eaten in long time also the young lady at the bar was very polite and friendly so definitely an excellent addition to the property. Also the housekeeping lady deserves to be mentioned as she was so nice to left our room to clean last so we could get ready.

The mattress are very hard what made our sleep uncomfortable.

The location was perfect and suited our needs totally being more, or less central to the places we planned to visit. The room itself was brilliant and we were left to our own devices but at the same time we could ask for anything required from the friendly staff. We loved the fact that the room was a self contained unit at the back of the bar/restaurant allowing us to come and go as we pleased which gave us the freedom to have a lay-in or come back at a later time. Watton village was on the doorstep and it’s a lovely little place with cafes, shops, bakery and takeaways with a large Tesco also very close by.

Whilst breakfast is provided in the room (bread/toast, cereal/milk, teas/coffees etc) there was an option to book a cooked breakfast which we were told by one of the staff that we could either book online, or as we were already there, we could pop in the bar and order. We did pop in the bar to order but was told online booking only accepted which seems a little daft when we were actually stood in the bar and consequently, due to this we didn’t bother as we had other things to do and by the time we got back into the room we forgot. The breakfast price also seemed a little high being £11 which would have been another £88 on the stay.

We both thought the signing arrangements were great. Breakfast suited us totally by having in the room we felt more comfortable. The shower pressure seemed very low - is there nothing you can do about that? I would also have felt a bit more secure if there had been a grab rail as there was nothing to hold onto in the shower. Staff were very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come again.

As we mentioned - the pressure in the shower was not great but sufficient for our needs and a grab rail would have been useful. Everything else was fine and we enjoyed our stay and would return.

The rooms were separate to the main building and absolutely lovely. All needs catered for. Plenty of food items supplied for continental breakfast, toaster and fridge in the room. Evening meal was excellent. We paid extra for the cooked breakfast the next morning, and this too was great. Staff v nice and helpful.

The owner warned us in advance that he was having some work done on the exterior of the property, and it was looking a little unkempt.

Fantastic staff we had a request which they happily accommodated, which my cousin who was staying at another hotel in the area on the same night was charged for. Staff couldn’t do enough for you in every aspect. Rooms was extremely large and I was staying in the so called smaller room, room was perfectly clean. All rooms face onto a little outside space where they have tables and chairs and benches to sit, for me it was a total bonus.

The bed was a little uncomfortable for me but I think that is just my preference as 7 of us stayed there and everyone else said they had a fabulous nights sleep. That is a minor thing as I did still sleep well I guess I’m just my own bed person.

A very good value place to stay, comfortable large room which was clean and well equipped. The only slight let down was the walk to the room at the rear of the pub which was a little scruffy. We ate at The Willows and had a hearty great value dinner.
