Central and in a very nice residential area . Although round the corner from the ferry terminal there wasn’t much noise .Lovely sun terrace to sit out and have drinks and food and garden well looked after with pretty planting and the odd red squirrel! .Also sea views so can see the ferry and lots of cruise liners going back and fourth . Some lovely walks too one foot path leads to Quarr Abbey through lovely countryside and great sea views What makes this place special was the friendly staff especially Paula & Chanel nothing was too much trouble and we were greeted with friendly smiling faces they made us very welcome . Room was clean & comfortable and very well serviced Breakfast was excellent and lots of choice we even had fresh scones one morning .We ate in the restaurant a couple of times and both times the food was delicious .

most exited was about the greeting and welcoming-the most impressed that I was actually was led to the room (often in stays I am just given the keys), the bed lights was lit and soft music was in the room before I stepped into the room. the gardens arount the inn- it depends you want to be surrounded by people or was a quiet meal- you can choose. the parking is free, just need to register the car at the bar.

After daily, very rich and delicious breakfasts, I was a bit dissapointed with a packed breakfast on my leave day (I have to leave early before the set time for breakfast)- 4 tiny crossants, impossible to peal orange, a pear and bottle of apple juice (by the way very delicious).. If there were a pot of youghurt or even tiny jar of jam to go with very dry crossants-would be great.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. A pleasant location and easy parking. Food was good with a varied menu.

My room had a green emergency light which was on permanently. At night it was very bright and made sleeping difficult. I reported this to the hotel management and they have offered me a discount on a future stay. In addition, because of an early start on the Saturday and Sunday, I ordered a breakfast bag as normal breakfast wasn't served until 09.00. Unfortunately, no bag was provided on the Saturday but was on the Sunday.

This is a great place to stay, particularly if you get off the ferry at Fishbourne. Great building, great food and great staff. Never seen anyone as lively as Chanel at 8am! The staff are all so friendly and helpful. We didn't take the car so we walked to a bus stop and hopped around the island on public transport. Breakfast is great and so is the food in the evening.

We picked the economy double room. I would probably pick a bigger room next time.

My husband and I had a super pleasant stay at the fishbourne. We brought our bikes on the ferry and this delightful inn was the perfect base for cycling trips around the island, we went through Ryde and Seaview one day, then around Newport and Cowes the next. The Inn is very close to the ferry dock but feels peaceful, quiet and secluded. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and we particular enjoyed the complementary breakfast. The whole experience was great and incredible value for money! It was the perfect weekend getaway

Exceptionally good customer service. Friendly atmosphere from staff. Wanting to make sure we were satisfied. We needed vegetarian milk due to allergy. They accommodated our request by offering oats milk. I would recommend The Fisbourne as a place to stay. The manager Dave is extremely hospitable. It is easily accessible from the Harbour. If you need to take a local bus ride into Newport that is an easy option, a short walk up the hill to the bus stop. Ths grounds of The Fisbourne are well maintained, beautiful evergreen and flowers.

Our guest room had a hole in the ceiling which needs to be repaired and painted. Plus the radiator - heating in the room was warm not hot.

Lovely pub/b&b a stones throw from Fishbourne port. was perfect for a quick overnight stay. very comfortable room with added extras - tea, coffee, hot choc, biscuits, water, toiletries. very clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was lovely as were the staff. would definitely return

nothing major, but the green (fire safety?) light in the middle of the ceiling was too bright. although there for a good reason, kept the room well lit all night

The room was very spacious, plenty of storage space, really appreciated the added touch of having a radio in the room. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious both mornings.

For the size of the room we were in, the tv size could have been bigger, given the distance for viewing from the bed, but that's just preference. The choice of music during morning breakfast could have been more subtle, some upbeat - rap / pop, didnt fit the vibe, again just personal preference.

The staff make this place! Paula and Dave are so friendly and hospitable who could not do enough for us (2 solo ladies). Very clean, spacious rooms (503 & 505). Good food, nice location by waterside. Think it could be a bit noisy in season as near ferry

The breakfast offering let’s it down. Served from 9.00am way too late. No ‘hot’ options offered only toast (no eggs, bacon etc. in sight!) Breakfast bag to go was a bit limited.

Extremely convenient to the Portsmouth-Fishbourne ferry, yet feels quiet and secluded (is also peaceful at night). Very close to Ryde and Cowes (5-10 minutes drive to either) and hence to major sights such as Osborne House. Very friendly welcome. Rooms are very good and comfortable. Food also very nice. Excellent breakfasts. Easy to park.
