Endeavour House

A very typical well-run British Bed and Breakfast. Very clean, and very comfortable, Barbara was the consummate host. The location was ideal for us being a 10-minute walk from both Cowes seafront and the Round House. We had no car, so the bus stop very close by was ideal for getting into Newport or further afield. The food was excellent with the opportunity to order from the breakfast menu by text the night before. We will be staying again when we re-visit the Island.

The Wi-Fi on the top floor didn't seem as good as elsewhere in the house. However, this could have been partly down to my phone's reception which has not been good since I fitted a new cover.

Barbara did some changes in the room setup which I didn't ask for ahead - many thanks! The attitude, the breakfast - just like being a guest of the family. It's also a short walking distance from the center and the Cowes Yacht Haven. A very comfortable and clean room, with a very nice shower and bathroom outside the room (but still private).

It's a private house, part of which is being used as a hotel. So in essence, it's like being a guest of a family you aren't familiar with. I personally didn't mind this, but I guess some people might.

Beautifully large clean room on the first floor with the bay window. The weather was extremely hot last weekend, windows in our room were open and a fan left on in the room. Tea, coffee, biscuits & a bottle of cold water in the room on arrival which was replenished daily. Free Car parking on Site Barbara was very accommodating and served us both a lovely Breakfast during our three days at Endeavour House.

En-suite located in the stairwell, we needed to take our door key to use the facility. Just a slight concern about waking other residents in the middle of the night. Television worked intermittently, it wasn’t a problem for us as we were there for a holiday and not to stay in and watch TV.

Clean, comfy, and excellently located. Room was large with multiple chairs and a big new bed. A great place to stay if you're visiting Cowes, only 10 mins walk from the ferry terminal. Barbara is a fantastic host, and the breakfast is splendid. Will definitely stay again!

I'm 6'3 and so the only caveat is that the shower on the first floor is a little low with a fixed head. But was still plenty powerful enough to make washing very easy.

The location was perfect for the Isle of Wight festival! Breakfast was exactly what we needed before & after a day out, really like that we could choose exactly what we wanted. Barbara was a lovely host and made us feel very welcome!

Very small point but the TV kept loosing its memory...you had to re tune it (that did not work sometimes). Not a massive issue

Barbara was an excellent host - extremely flexible to store bikes securely, cater for an early breakfast and give recommendations on restaurants. The breakfast was delicious with loads of choice - perfect pre a long day cycling. And the room and bathroom was lovely - clean, comfortable, with coffee, biscuits and chocolates, fresh bottle of water each day - nothing too much trouble. Very easy to get to from chain ferry and quick walk into Cowes centre

Very many things were fantastic for us about the property. Ease of access, parking available, easy walk to the Main Street of Cowes, lovely breakfast and lovely host. Thank you.

Friendly and helpful owners, spacious room, nice quiet area but close to the town

I thought we'd have an ensuite but it was a private bathroom accessed through a communal hallway. The mattress on the bed was old and dipped in the middle so not very comfortable.
