My room was clean and comfortable and cleaned daily. Guests should remember that the building is old, although things like the bathroom have been revamped, so to expect modern finishes is unfair, but I had everything I needed, was very comfortable, loved staying in a historic building, the breakfast was truly FANTASTIC, the staff were friendly and accommodating. The Inn is close to Cambridge and many historic small towns which is a stone's through away. Best place for those who rent a car, because the parking is free. There is no uber in this rural setting and taxi's are expensive. There apparently is bus line. Audley End historic house is only 7 minutes drive. Cambridge is 25 minutes drive. Great place to stay.

I don't have any complaints.

This little hotel in historical buildings provided me an awesome stay thanks to the friendliness and helpfulness of its staff, but also by everything else. Upon arrival I had two personal challenges not related to the Crown House Hotel; 1) My airline didn't deliver my suitcase arriving at London the very same day and 2) my rental car had a flat tyre right in front of the hotel. I received some 'emergency toiletries' and many great advices. The hotel serves breakfast and again, very friendly staff serving a delicious breakfast. Not serving dinner at the hotel, I was given the advice for two pubs within walking distanc and the food in one of them was that convincing that I went there the following night again. The premises are well kept and invite for outdoor events. The huge parking lot is very convenient. My main purpose to stay at the Crown House Hotel was because of my visit to the Imperial War Museum at Duxford which is just a short five minutes drive away.

Nothing to mention about what I did not like, the Crown House Hotel not only met my expectations, but exceed them.

Bed was comfortable. Shower was good. Breakfast was good on the Friday but a bit less good on the weekend mornings because rather than made to order, it was all put out on the heated trolley, which is never as nice and some of it was not hot. Great sausages though.

The room was described as having a courtyard view. In fact the small window looked directly into another part of the roof so no view at all. Staff were helpful and moved us to another room which did have a courtyard view but it turned out the courtyard was actually the gravel car park.

Reception/checking in was easy and the receptionist offered lots of information about the area. Breakfast was very good, staff were on the ball and helpful. There was plenty of parking space there which makes a nice change.

Our room was in the annexe across the carpark area from the main building which wouldn't have been a problem if the room had been bigger . The room was very small, it didn't even have a chair. I don't think it was worth the price we paid for the room. I understand rooms in the main building are much more spacious.

We had an unfortunate incident before our stay which led to my partner having mobility problems so we were unable to leave the hotel for food in the evening. When I explained our predicament we were supplied with an excellent small supper with the minimum of fuss and outside the normal confines of their catering. The kindness and consideration we were shown was refreshing in this material world. The hotel is a little hidden gem, comfortable, homely and everyone there was very friendly and eager to help.

Nothing. We were totally happy with everything

The staff were very friendly, with excellent communication ahead of the booking. Breakfast was great - selection of food, the staff and service were all excellent. The GM who seemed to double as receptionist and barkeep was very personable and helpful, even found us a pack of cards one evening. The bar, conservatory, and garden were gorgeous. We are likely to go back for a weekend away sometime.

The only thing was hot water for showers running out if all guests were getting up at the same time.

Everything about our stay was impeccable could not fault it. Room was absolutely stunning. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud cannot recommend this place enough. Food absolutely fantastic such a great breakfast (they also offer it to non-residents so even if you are not staying here you must try it!) Everyone that works here is an absolute delight and it is a pleasure to talk to all of them. Thank you for being so welcoming. An absolute gem in a beautiful village. Special thanks also as they helped arrange a surprise cake, drinks and balloon for my boyfriends birthday. Nothing was too much trouble everything effortless. We look forward to coming back.

We did not like the fact we had to leave! I tried to sneak the keys out with me!

The room was lovely and spacious, the bed was a super king which meant there was a lot of room. The location of the B&B to our English Heritage was great, and we have stayed there before for a previous event at Audley End House.

The Wi-Fi was not good, it would not allow us to connect our laptop and even though my phone contested to it it wouldn’t load anything. Unfortunately we wanted to use the bar but it was closed and I did not see any indication of when it would of been open.

Accommodated a change of room so I could be on the ground floor. Helpful, offered to drive me to a nearby pub where I was meeting a friend Breakfast was good Comfy bed

No-one there when I was leaving so had to leave my key hooked round a door handle - so that was not good, nowhere to post it. The TV was not able to get a signal, so presume that is bad internet/wifi connection? But not staying long enough to ask why and there was no-one there when I left to let them know it wasn't working.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The bed was large and very comfortable. We stayed in the annexe, our room was large but I did find the room quite stuffy and hot, not helped by the hot weather. There was a fan provided which I appreciated. The shower was good. Breakfast was delicious, good quality and choice offered. I really liked the inclusion of fresh mushrooms and piping hot toast.

The only thing was the room was very hot and airless. I think this is because the building is south facing and had absorbed the heat all day. Not much you can do, I used the fan but I think maybe you need a bigger, more powerful one.
