Location was very good and in easy reach of Cambridge in a lovely village. Superb accommodation, beautifully finished and well equipped. Lovely open fire in the bar on a cold night! Food was very good. Everything is to a really high standard.

Room was beautiful but really cold. Suggest the heating needed to be on sooner and higher given the outside temperature. We had intended to return to the room to freshen up for dinner but the room was so cold we stayed in the bar keeping warm by the open fire. Spoke to the manager the next morning but were a bit surprised with her response. She told us people ‘from the north’ liked the room cooler! (I am from Essex!!) The cold room was disappointing but we still enjoyed our stay and would recommend the Red Cow overall 😊

I have two tests I always apply to places I stay: what are the towels like, and do they provide fresh milk for guests? It's easy to provide a clean, welcoming place to stay, but being prepared to spend a little extra money on these things makes all the difference. The Red Cow has large, fluffy towels and a communal fridge with free milk in, so passed both tests! Welcoming staff, a lovely pub across the courtyard, big, comfy bed ... this is a really nice place to stay, and thoroughly recommended.

Can't think of anything

The location was very pretty the pub was an old english style . Breakfast was very tasty and the staff were very friendly. Quiet and peaceful and the room was clean tidy and everything you would need for your stay

The bathroom floor was very slippery when the shower was turned on and the panel for the shower was in a very low place next to the towel rail. Quite hard to read and control. Especially if you were in the shower. You had to get out and change setting.

Very comfortable and clean room, refreshed every day. Bed very comfortable and location quiet, so slept well. Good bathroom, excellent shower. Quiet pub/restaurant with excellent food, good breakfast. Plenty of parking. Village quite isolated, so car needed. Staff exceptional; very helpful manager (Amelie) and lovely waitress/bartender (Danni). We stayed for five nights and had a family lunch with two young children and were very well looked after.

Our double room was on the small side, but there was still somewhere to sit (other than on the bed) and there was enough storage space, so this isn't a complaint!

We Stayed in the Drage Room - My goodness this wasn't five star luxury it was far above that. I have never stayed in such a beautiful room. The Bed was very comfortable , no noise from the road. The bedroom itself was massive with lovely little touches like fresh baked cookies. The Bathroom was massive it had a choice of two showers -a rainfall shower and a power shower which could be used either separately or individually by touch pad which controlled the temperature. There was also a bath, Large hand basin and toilet. The breakfasts were excellent with a good choice of dishes to choose from. There was a restaurant there for dinner but we didn't use it, as we had already eaten. The staff were lovely and friendly. There was a nice car park only a short distance from the rooms. They e-mailed us to make sure we were still coming and asking if we wanted a table for the evening. They were very knowledgeable about places to visit in the area.

There was nothing we didn't like

Beautifully decorated and fitted out. We stayed in the converted barn part of the property and it really was a joy. The bathroom was superb. So many nice touches, including fresh milk and bottled water in a small help yourself fridge just outside our room. The beautiful pub right next door was just an added bonus.

We stayed on a Sunday and breakfasts were not available on our Monday check out. We knew before staying so it wasn’t a surprise. This wouldn’t however stop us booking again!

The breakfast was superb - had options and we went for the full English which was delicious. The room was comfortable, clean, beautifully furnished and recently renovated - it was wonderful. The staff were also exceptional - we were greeted by Amelie who had gone out of her way to wait for us on arrival since we were detained and late by about 30 mins - we were very grateful for that and for the communication received

A pretty building. Very comfortable and clean room/bathroom. Tasty comprehensive breakfast. Friendly staff. Onsite parking. Powerful hot shower. Lovely white fluffy towels. Tea/coffee in room. It was nice to have a room without anyone physically next door.

Unfortunately for us we stayed on a Monday night and the restaurant is closed. Normally they have a food truck facility but due to the petrol shortage the truck could not visit. We therefore had to travel a few miles to get an evening meal. The pub is very dark inside and therefore difficult to read or play cards which we like to do whilst having a drink.

Location excellent for our day at Duxford. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Accomodation was totally amazing and totally exceeded our expectations, breakfast first class, staff 100% commited to giving a 5* experience. Nice touches are fresh milk for tea/coffee in room, homemade biscuits and chilled bottled water, still and sparkling.. hairdryer 😁 amazing shower and toiletries.. What we also appreciated was the call to ask if we would want to eat on arrival even though it would be nearer 9pm. Thankyou to everyone who made what was a great weekend totally amazing... See you again for sure

Breakfast lovely a bit disappointed no cooked breakfast was served on Mondays but a cold breakfast tray was given.

The room & bathroom was lovely everything you needed to make your stay very comfortable, although a tad small, lovely comfortable bed with nice bed linen, & bath robes.
