Kettering Park Hotel and Spa

The pool and gym facilities were excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Comfy beds, requested a harder pillow and it arrived in less than 5 minutes. Location was good for us as we were visiting relatives nearby but if you want picturesque it is on a roundabout and the edge of industrial park. Chris the waiter was very entertaining and patient when we took rather a long time to decide.

Main meals in the restaurant (although delicious) do not come with vegetables/potatoes and at 5 pounds 40pence for a very small portion, the price becomes extortionate, over 10 pounds extra for a small portion of mashed potato and about the equivalent of 2 carrots.

Upon arrival a red carpet greets you. What more can make you feel special. The hotel is beautiful. The room was spacious and exteamly comfortable. We were a family of four there was a nice surprise awaiting each of the children in the room (don't want to spoil) The staff were all very lovely and friendly, Shout out particularly to Helen, in the restaurants at breakfast, she is wonderful and went above and beyond to make our experience all the more enjoyable. She was brilliant with the children and even found some paper for my son to draw on.

I booked a 4 Poster Bed Room, it was heaven! The bed was so comfortable and looked fabulous 👌 Air con kept the room cool, it was nice and quiet, we both slept very well, gorgeous pillows! Bathrobes, slippers, The White Company Toiletries to use, coffee machine. Bathroom, again very well kept and presented. The pool is nice and warm, plenty of drinks available at the bar, gardens are stunning! Breakfast was hot, freshly cooked and the service excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to others.

Bar area very, very quiet, not much atmosphere.

I am a regular visitor to this hotel as it is near a printers I work with. I have visited over 50 times. Love the hotel and the staff are generally excellent.

On this occasion, presumably because the hotel was busy the cost for a standard room was £200! I was charged extra for the spa too an additional £25, never have had to pay for this before, I asked for late check out which was very expensive and only gave me until 1pm - hardly late! Given I am very a regular visitor I was not left feeling valued in anyway by one member of the reception team, who I had not seen before. Perhaps she needs to be given some training to the level of the normal reception staff.

The Spa is absolutely gorgeous. The Room is so clean and comfortable. We really loved the fill up your own water and milk from the dispensers, especially because I love my tea and always run out of the tiny milk cartoons that normally come in hotel rooms. Having the added bonus of being able to change the pillows, I love a firm pillow, hotel ones are always too soft for me, after having the option to switch pillows, I slept like a baby! 😁👌🏼 Staff are so friendly and can’t seem to do enough for you. Billy who works in the restaurant especially, he is such a lovely polite young man. Emily and another lady whose name I didn’t catch, I’m sorry! (You mentioned my handbag!) at the reception were so welcoming and lovely. Food was absolutely amazing. Room service was quick and soo delicious. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Superb location, great parking, lovely checkin. Room was superb, very comfortable and large for the family. Bed massive and comfy, good tech in room and 5* like facilities, shower excellent, breakfast superb as served off menu, booked times worked well. Staff excellent. room had lots of freebies for the kids, very well thought out. Spa lovely and great treatments! Kids enjoyed massively.

Smart TV wouldn’t connect to Apple phones, so stuck with digi TV- low number of channels. Swimming area was busy and no rules for people hogging the jacuzzi. nitpicking!

so lovely and unsuspecting from the outside as it’s on an industrial estate. when inside, you’d be forgiven for mistaking it for a posh country hunting lodge!! it’s absolutely beautiful and the staff are second to none. the bar is lovely with reasonable priced drinks and lovely ambience. did not try the spa but will on our next visit. restaurant looked amazing.

The room was nice, the bed comfortable, some nice welcoming extras, lovely food and most of the staff were helpful and friendly. All staff interacted very well with my children and treated them with respect.

we were a family who booked a spa pass and were not told there were restricted hours for children in the pool so we turned up after the session had finished. We would have planned our day differently if we had known. The bathroom is was a bit basic given the standard of the rest of the room. A couple of the wait staff seemed obviously inexperienced making repeated mistakes but they were lovely all the same.

The little touches like the V.I.Little.P bathroab and welcome pack for my daughter, really made her feel special and included as a guest rather than just a child also staying in the room. The staff were also amazing with her and actually talked and interacted with her like a guest rather than contrived child placating. As a five year old I think this was the first time she experienced being treated as an individual guest opposed to an extension to mum and dad to be accommodated. We were attending a wedding on site as part of our stay and a handful of attendees got into a heated scuffle while trading blue insults (entirely personal and not predictable, the hotel is in no way at fault for this). To extricate my daughter from the spectacle, I scooped her up and bolted through the first open door and it turned out to be a service corridor, the staff were amazing at distracting her. Thanks to one impeccable young man who was also our waiter at dinner the night before, she now remembers and talks about his cat, Fat-Frank when she recalls the unfortunate altercation. To my shame I cannot remember his name but to that young man and the rest of the staff, thank you. We stayed two nights and we enjoyed every minute, my daughter asked if we could go back next week and that is praise indeed. Also Rooms were very comfortable. They reminded me of the sort of rooms you need an upgrade for in other hotels. They also had character and were not the often soulless fare. The Spa and its pool are definitely worth visiting and were a highlight. Dinner was very impressive, the large tomahawk steak carved at the table was excellent. The outdoor bar and seating are a little English oasis in what is otherwise a business park the other side of the berm.

The pool is only accessible to children from 8-10am and 3-6pm which was a little annoying personally but far from a problem and totally understandable given that it is intrinsic to the spa.

The room was large and comfortable. The robe and slippers provided meant that on my arrival I could slip into comfort immediately. I enjoyed the fresh milk and quality refreshments. The northern breakfast was comprehensive if a little expensive.

There was nothing not to like really. The hotel postcode was not terribly helpful for the satnav, and i had to resort to Google maps for the last bit. There were no grounds to walk around in the small amount of free time I had, but this was more than compensated for by the luxurious feel of the hotel. It would have been nice to visit the spa but £10 extra for a swim in the pool in the dhort time available seemed like too much.
