The staff were brilliant , breakfast was very good better than I expected , we stayed at The Raven one night on the 11th and one night on the 13th we were put in the refurbished part lovely bedroom and bathroom on the second visit we were in a bedroom which needed refurbishment so wasn't so happy which is why I only gave it a good on comfort and cleanliness it would have been an excellent but all in all it was very good value for money.

The twin room we were given definitely needed some TLC

The staff were exceptional and very polite. They quickly explained how everything works, physically shown to the room, and nothing was too much trouble for them. Bar has a nice beer garden out the back and a few nice craft beers to try. England were playing football, so they staff put the tv on in the little nook in the corner so that I could watch it in the comfort of the bar area. As I was staying in the room, was easy to run a tab, and clear before going up to room at the end of the night.

Shared bathrooms are not for everyone - I was fine with it - the one I used for a shower was nice and clean and tidy. One of the other ones, some of the other guests look like they treated it like an extension of room and not quite so clean and tidy [this is a customer issue - not hotel].

Good value for money - decent breakfast included & also had evening meal with good portions of pub classics, comfortable bed, able to open window & quiet enough outside, everything clean & friendly staff.

Some room features had seen better days, e.g. dented heater (but did not need to use it), shower could be more powerful & would be nice if bath mat could be provided with towels in room as shared bath/shower rooms only had used bath mats screwed up on floor, but not expecting luxury at budget price.

The hotel has a very welcoming atmosphere with an open lounge, bar and restaurant which for late Saturday afternoon when we checked in, felt warm and friendly. My wife and I had travelled to the area to attend a family party in Kettering. We had booked two rooms as my elderly mother-in-law had flown-in for the do. The reception staff, especially, Laura the manager/supervisor were very accommodating in meeting our request for rooms close together and even took the trouble to get one of the rooms cleaned at short notice to fit us. The rooms we were given were clean and comfortable and the continental breakfast buffet was just right for Sunday morning. 10 out of 10 for a really great welcome and stay!

The room was so nice, very large, beautifully tiled bathroom and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the room temperature was perfect. They had a continental breakfast laid on in the morning, which was a refreshing change and plenty of choices. The staff were very polite, friendly and very helpful.

I could only say, the location was a bit out of the main town but there were still a varied amount of restaurants and convenience stores. But that was probably more to do with the fact we only stayed one night.

On arrival, a warm welcome from the receptionist who led us to the room and assisted us with demonstrating the fob key. Breakfast was as expected - the staff were very polite and kind. Fresh fruit, croissants, cereals were more than adequate. We were able to eat outside in the garden. The bedroom was very clean, spacious and comfortable. The shower was excellent with good pressure and hot water. The car parking space was good, although expectedly busy on saturday night.

Unfortunately, the room sound insulation is inadequate, and we could hear the sound of the television from the adjacent room (we had room 4), and we could hear them talking and moving around. The water syst5em also makes a noise when the occupants of the neighbouring room used the sink. Because of this we had to resort to talking in whispers. I am sorry for this note, and cannot see how the problem can be easily solved except for additional insulating layer on the walls. f

The hotel was great my room was clean spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was adequate . The dinning room was clean . I had two lovely evening meals. The chef very kindly made me a packed lunch up as there was nowhere to buy food were I was during my day. great place. The reception also did the bookings for the cabs and were very help full Staff there were brilliant. cheerful and friendly.

nothing everything was good. transport could have been better. I had to travel around in cabs which you could not book for one in the morning to go and then another in the evening to come back. you had to do it in two . Which was a bummer as my phone decided to play up. Never mind I survived.

Staff really friendly with good knowledge of area and what was best places to visit. Room was very nice Continental Breakfast was very good.

Food was very nice in the hotel. And a wide selection of beers. And spirits On Thursday nights, they have a quiz night. Which is very good and a large hall for weddings. Overall, the hotel stroke pub was very good.

The location and price perfect for my 1 night stay. Large spacious room with en suite facilities. Bar facilities. Great choice of programmes on the large TV. I didn't use the meal facilities so cannot comment. I liked the placing the keys into a wall box on exit without disturbing any of the staff. Will be back next year on my annual run at the track!

Unfortunately I had a noisy neighbour male! Coughing and spluttering extremely loudly at 3.00 am and 5.00 am and singing in the shower at 7.30 am! Unfortunately this spoilt my stay otherwise it would have been excellent!

Everything! We have stayed here many times in the past but not for a few years so we were surprised and delighted with the new room. Very clean, lovely bathroom with walk in shower, plenty of towels and nice hot chocolate and biscuits on tea and coffee tray. We were tired and hungry and decided to have a meal, the food was amazing! The young lady at the bar was polite and helpful and so cheerful, as was the lad who brought our food, the beef in peppercorn sauce was piled high over sauteed potatoes and the accompanied vegetables were fresh and delicious, everything piping hot, the burger was great too, we were so impressed with the meal and the room we have decided to stay an extra night, afternoon tea looks amazing? I don't normally take food photos but the meal was so good l just had to!
