The room was modern and spacious. It was immaculately clean. The staff were fantastic and very friendly. The breakfast was cooked to order and absolutely delishous. I also loved having a fridge in my room with the complementary coffee/tea water and cream.

No designated parking. However, I had no problem finding parking on the street the entire time we were there, so it really was not an issue for us. The stairs to get to our room are a problem for my wife as she had a bad knee, but it doesn't stop her. But if you have difficulty climbing stairs just request a room on the main floor.

Hotel was in the perfect location for a wedding we were attending at Cornhill Castle - only a 5 minute taxi journey. Staff were super friendly and even managed to get us checked in slightly early so we were checked in before heading to the wedding venue. Breakfast was amazing - so much choice so definitely something for everyone.

I do feel the hotel was slightly pricey - I believe we were originally quoted £105 for the night through booking.com, however when we arrived we were charged £125. We spent no time in the room at all as we got to the hotel around 1am and checked out by 10am sp basically just used the room to sleep.

Lovely garden cafe area, friendly and welcoming staff who continued to be helpful throughout our stay. The location close to several places to several amenities and right on the high street. We had travelled through the night and were fortunate enough to be able to check in slightly earlier to enable us a quick sleep so this was hugely appreciated.

The temperature I found the hotel to be almost on the uncomfortable hot side, particularly in the cafe area for breakfast, our room wasn’t far from there so was equally as hot. Even with the window open was quite stuffy, this may suit some and appreciate fully it’s difficult to get a balance for all.

The rooms were excellent value for money. I was travelling for wedding with 2 daughters so accommodation great for 3 of us and very good value. Clean, good shower too. Staff very friendly.

I found my room bit cold so feel extra cover with extra pillow on top of wardrobe would have helped. Had to sleep with cardigan and socks on. Only minus to hotel otherwise very good value, very clean etc. My girls in larger room were fine. Also wonder if anyone has had any experience with spirits in the rooms as my daughters and I did. Wasnt frightened as I am a Spititualist

Excellent location, for local produce and a quiet get away! All the local pubs and restaurants (including the kirkstyle, obviously!) sell local meats, eggs, etc. The breakfast at kirkstyle is fantastic! One of the very best!! It's a wonderfully remote location away from the cities, but such a busy bustling village. There's always something going on 😍 and this hotel is a wonderful stay for comfort and location. Stayed 3 or 4 times now and always have a fantastic time!

Breakfast was pretty good and the staff were excellent, I couldn't ask for more from them. I was pleased to receive a call from the hotel prior to our staying offering to book a cab to the wedding venue.

There was an issue with the water running cold, I believe it was due to a boiler issue. A nice time have would have been a bar facility at the hotel. There was a lovely pub called the Crown Inn across the road which was very convenient, however they were always really busy and we had to book in advance, couldn't just go in and have a table.

Lovely spacious room and even though at the front of hotel very quiet. the receptionist was very friendly and as we had our family dog with us they provided us with bowls, snacks and a bed for him. They also helpfully booked a local pub for our evening meal as they don't have a restaurant. Breakfast was excellent.

We thought parking might be a problem but managed to secure a space opposite the hotel where we could keep an eye on our car.

The staff were excellent and they were very helpful, suggested a great place for dinner, provided great directions to where I was going and provided a much needed safety pin. The location was nice, comfortable and close to local sites. Parking, they have none but were very helpful with information on places you could park. I will definitely recommend this hotel to others and would definitely stay there again.

Quiet comfortable room . Loved the bottle of water and fresh milk in the fridge . Nice biscuits too . Very comfy bed and an amazing power shower shower . Everything immaculately clean . Breakfast was fresh cooked to order and made with local produce . Good sized portions served by friendly staff . Hoping to stay there again .

Happy with everything. What's not to like ?

My room was very comfortable, spacious with a huge bed and stylish shower room. Fresh milk and a carafe of water in the fridge. Great choice on breakfast menu and cooked breakfast was tasty. Staff are very nice.

The bedroom window opened fully. As a solo traveller, I wasn’t comfortable leaving it open as I slept. A window with a hopper or one with a restricted opening would be better.
