London Marriott Hotel County Hall

Our room with a view of the Houses of Parliament was well appointed and exceptionally clean and very well maintained. The room was quiet. The bathroom was spacious, well stocked and immaculate. The location of the hotel suited us as it is close to the attractions we wanted to see/experience. Breakfast offered a pleasing range of choices, I would look for breakfast to be included in your room rate if you could but I would not compromise on the view from our room for the sake of an included breakfast. Staff at the hotel were very attentive whilst being discreet. The Concierge was exceptionally helpful with our luggage, taxi and information for us.

The lifts are not up to the standard of the rooms but they are in keeping with the era of the hotel as are the restrooms on the ground floor. However the lifts are spacious and arrived promptly. Some building work was being undertaken and although screened off using blinds it was still partially visible, perhaps using printed posters over the windows and then the blinds on top might have been more effective. I would like 24/7 room service available especially on a weekend.

Our room service breakfast did not arrive and was sent to the room next door Room service should have checked the guest name to room number The rooms attended knocked at the door. We were both in The room. We had say we will be leaving once we are ready The maid continued with when will you be leaving we shortly but she continued to push the question ;when will the room be free. The Maid came across in the wrong manor. I got the impression that we had to give her a time because of her shift.

Great location, right beside London Eye, Sea-life Aquarium, 5mins walk to Big Ben, and all the amazing sites around it. Five mins walk to to the London bridge, another 5 mins to Tower bridge. You can literally tour the environs for 3 days and still have a satisfying visit. Two train stations (Westminster and Waterloo) are close-by for a trip to other parts of the city like West end. Breakfast was amazing, although not Buffet, you'd get the opportunity of ordering one hot plate and a cold plate. Friendly and helpful front-dest officers. They were warm and ready to help.

This is not really significant but the Hotel entrance, especially the walkway, could use a bit of facelift to make it more receptive and smart.

Excellent location on Westminster Bridge. The room was lovely, large and very clean. The staff were so attentive and on hand at all times. Lovely breakfast. Well done!

Very pricy. A bit of plain food would have been good for us picky, small eaters who just want a slice of cheddar and some grapes. Minor whinges

Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was large and the bed was very comfortable and a good sized en suite. Very elegant bar area with great views across the Thames. A great location for walking to main sites.

The breakfast was disappointing for a 5 star hotel. Mugs, no tea cups or saucers, therefore no where to put your teaspoon, except on the table, (no table cloth), no side plates or butter knives, no jam or butter on the table. Scrambled eggs were over cooked and dry served on dry toast. We were not offered jam or marmalade , butter was in very short supply it seemed, perhaps that's why there were no side plates!

This Marriott is magically marvellous! it’s location provides a buzz and excitement that you know you will enjoy but also a real tranquil calmness from the hustle and bustle of the city! The views are worth every penny! But no hotel is complete without its staff, check in was seamless and Barry (valet) gave exceptional attention to detail, remembering us as we came and went on our adventures (there were only 3 rooms not booked that day so his memory for the number of people he met is out of this world)! Then Anna in the restaurant again paid exceptional attention to detail, making us feel so welcome and comfortable. Drinks and food were great and portions BIG! A perfect stay with a lifetime of memories!

Excellent location, close to major sights and 4min walk to Westminster tube station. Easy to get to by train/tube from Heathrow. Excellent customer service. Staff always friendly, polite and helpful. Room equipped with everything - very comfy beds, fridge with complimentary water daily, safe, iron, hair dryer, complimentary toiletries, bath robes and spacious room. Quality hotel. Seeing The London Eye outside our window was lovely. We were staying in London (from Australia) for our daughter's 21st birthday. It was a lovely surprise for her to receive a "Big Ben" themed mini birthday cake and card and we also received a thank you card and gift. Very nice gesture from the staff.

A powerPoint in bathroom to use hair dryer would be useful. Additional full length mirror or installed elsewhere (inside robe was a tight fit). Only minor issues.

The location is fabulous, great sized room with a spectacular view of Westminster. Very clean. Hairdryer, iron, toiletries etc The staff were very friendly and attentive. The happy birthday dessert in the restaurant was a nice touch, for my daughter's 18th.

It's quite expensive. My steak was great but it looked a little sad just sat in the middle of an empty plate. Wish I'd been advised to order more than one side. I wasn't a fan of the a la carte breakfast, give me a Marriott buffet style breakfast over this any day. I'm not sure if there was a lounge area other than the bar, if there was I didn't see one? Such a minor grumble but a biscuit would be nice with the in room coffee.
