Merit Kensington Hotel

We had stayed there when it was the Oxford. The renovations have been remarkable.

We were on the basement level and at the front. Our window opened up into the area all the staff worked first thing in the morning with respect for cleaning and laundry. It was noisy and we couldn't open our blinds. That said we were up and out early everyday so it was not necessarily a huge problem for us but it would have been nice to open the blinds/curtains

Location a few minutes walk from Earls Court Station and a number of good restaurants/cafes/pubs/supermarkets and chemists. Room was comfortable though compact. Bathroom again compact but worked well. Bed was comfortable and linen was nice. Room serviced daily, though noted that neither toilet paper nor shampoo/conditioners etc were replenished for 2nd night of stay but was for 3rd night. Lifts to easy floor but there are a handful of steps from street level to front door/reception level. Your room may not be in the same building as reception.

A couple of nice chairs and maybe a small coffee table in the bay window of our room would’ve been nice.

Location good. Had to find somewhere to stay last minute as had family in Chelsea and Westminster hospital. Check in staff friendly and helpful. Room clean, quiet, modern and bathroom nice with good shower. Would definitely stay again.

Check out staff early next morning. Didn’t acknowledge me initially standing at desk, too busy on own phone and then continued talking between themselves after started serving me. Poor customer service, may have been the night staff at the end of a long night but didn’t reflect the service of the staff the night before or the standards this hotel appears to portray.

Very clean, extremely comfortable bed and lovely and quiet which ensured a great nights sleep. We required housekeeping (to remove a baby’s cot in the room), to provide an ironing board and iron and to adjust the aircon temperature (controlled externally from the room). They couldn’t have been quicker, friendlier or more efficient. Thank you!

We had a garden facing room with a balcony but unfortunately there’s no way to access the balcony and no opportunity to open a window. Breakfast was disappointing (for the price). Very limited options and some staff whilst smiley and seemingly friendly could not understand or speak English and everything had to be referred to one person who appeared to be in charge.

Very good location . Cleanliness . Quiet room. Very nice and helpful staff .

I loke everything

Great Location near to the Underground Station, and a lot of shops and places to eat. The staff are great, and everything about the hotel seems very high quality. The room was very clean and comfortable. It was great having a Fridge, and the Air Conditioning was excellent. It was very quiet which is important to us. It was our second time staying here, and we would definitely stay again.

Nothing to not like.

Merit has a stunning reception, with the rooms being located in separate buildings which gave a nice private feel. The location was also very good being next to the underground and bus stops.

Although the room was very nice and looked the part, it was a little tired on some areas such as the paint, edge of cupboards etc. it was also rather small, with no storage.

This hotel is a gem in my opinion - well located in a quiet street about 100 meters from Earls Court underground station. The staff could not be more helpful and nothing was too much trouble. will return for sure !

The rooms are the smallest I think I have ever been in! having said that, the space was used well and fittings were quality fittings

This is a real gem. Round the corner from Earls Court tube. Smart, spotlessly clean, great continental breakfast and lovely staff.My room was very swish - small ( I was in a single) but perfectly good for one person.

The breakfast room is so beautiful and comfortable it is a shame that a cooked breakfast isn't on offer - it would really enhance the visit. Having said that, the continental choice has to be the best I've seen. 👍

Location is very nice. Earl Court station is around the corner, there’s a drugstore, take away coffee, and great bars with nice food around. It was very convenient they the bags before the Check In time and after the Check Out time. Start was super sweet.

The room was underground which was quite unexpected and they served the breakfast right at the front of the room which made it super noisy early morning.
