Mowbray Court Hotel

Great location and clean. Perfect for one night stay

Reception staff were not very welcoming and quite blunt when dealing with us on arrival. TV in one room wasn’t working and when we advised reception of this they came to the room with new batteries for the remote which subsequently didn’t solve the issue. We were then told by one of the same unwelcoming reception members very abruptly that “There was nothing they could do”. No offer to change rooms or offer and compensation for this. We don’t usually spend time in the room so this wouldn’t have been an issue but it was the overall response we had to this issue that was unpleasant. The next morning we found that the 2nd room we had booked for friends also had a TV that was not working correctly.

The location. It is close to a metro station and several shops.

The size of the shower stall is very small, and the ceiling is very low, if you are overweight or tall you will have a hard time showering. The bed springs make noise, if you are a person who moves a lot when going to sleep, this may annoy you. The cleaning people make a lot of noise when they are cleaning the rooms, if you want to sleep a little longer this can be a problem as they speak too loudly or the walls in the rooms are too thin. The tv is very small, as well as the closet and the bedside table, don't take too many bags because there's nowhere to put them, the room is very small.

the breakfast and the location was great. There is water and coffee in the reception all the times. They helped me to stay in the quietest room.

I believe the carpets needed to be cleaned more often.

The windows are only single glazed. Need to have double or triple glazed windows to stop street noise.

Room fitted to a good standard. Ensuite a new modern refit. Bed comfortable with good quality bedding. Continental breakfast generous and varied with plenty of protein and starch items, some fruit, and filter coffee. Pleasant, airy, spacious communal areas. Overall clean with efficient staff. The room was not excessively hot at night in a heatwave. Close to the underground.

This particular room/ensuite very compact and bed somewhat narrow. Bathroom extractor fan noisy and ineffective against the mild drain odour (which only affected the bathroom). Bathroom soap dispensers stingy but useable.

Our first room was too small and below street level. My wife was a little claustrophobic and asked for a change. The staff were very good and arranged the change the very next day. Earls Court is a good location with both bus and tube transport close at hand.

Was disappointed with our first room and considered it not to be worth the money we were paying.

The hotel is in a fantastic location that is fairly central in London. My rooms (I stayed there twice) were both really clean and had everything I needed. The staff was also helpful when I needed to print documents and ask questions. For a private room with an ensuite bathroom in this location, the price is great.

The first room I stayed in was insanely small. As in, there was room for the double bed and that's it. I managed to squeeze my carry-on size suitcase between the end of the bed and the wall but there was literally nowhere else to put it. There is no way I'd want to stay in that room with another person or with large luggage. The second room I was in was underground in the annex building but it had more space, which I appreciated.

The location was brilliant. We were out of the hustle and bustle of the city, which meant it was reasonably quiet, but the tube station was just around the corner from the hotel which gave us easy access to the bars, theatres and restaurants, which were just a couple of stops away. The room was very clean and so was the bathroom. We stayed 2 nights and the room was cleaned after our first night, which was nice.

We stayed in a twin room in what was called the annexe. This was a building along the road from the main hotel, and the room was very small. It just about fitted 2 small single beds in, and these were offset, one in front of the other as they wouldn’t have fitted side by side.

the staff were amazing and super friendly. we arrived at the hotel at 1pm, 2 hours before our check in and they were super understanding whilst checking us in. The beds were super comfy and the room temp was great. super cold when we got it from a day out in the sun. location was amazing only a 2 minute walk away from the station. you could access the Piccadilly or district line from this stations also not far of a walk from Kensington. 15 minute walk from Kensington high street and there are amazing restaurant there.

the room was a little small but we were never in our room. just needed it for a place to sleep.

Hotel was clean and well-kept. Staff pleasant. Ambrozy at Reception with his friendly, upbeat manner was very kind and willing to help. Hotel has a pleasant airy room for breakfasts and big reception area for seating as well as "office" use. Very convenient location being close to Earls Court Tube station with an M&S Foodhall & convenience shops nearby as well as plenty of pubs to choose from for dining.

The single room being in the attic although quiet got too hot and although there was air con it didn't seem to be working as it should. Great to have complimentary bottled water in the rooms but maybe time to think of avoiding single use plastic. Bathroom although clean was too small.
