We used this hotel as we were watching an act at the 02 arena. Denise greeted us as soon as we walked in with a friendly smile and was really approachable. We arrived earlier than check in but was no issue. She offered to help with cases to the room and gave us some ideas of bus routes to go to the local markets and provided a really reliable cab company for us to use. The beds were very comfy and tea / coffee facilities in room. Shower in room good, plenty of hot water. Ironing board available for us to use, full length mirror in corridor. You could access the property at any time as had own set of keys and could check out any time before needed as there was a key deposit box in the landing. Cab ride £8 to nearest tube station was perfect for all we needed.

There wasn’t a toilet in the room it was in the corridor but was no bother to us. There was no big light in the ceiling only lamps so can be a bit dark. ? Maybe a hairdryer to be added

The room I stayed in was very clean and the staff were so friendly, welcoming and very helpful. I would definitely recommend staying there if you are visiting the O2 as it's only about 15 minutes away by bus (depending on which bus you take). All in all a very good stay for the 3 nights I was there, I would definitely would recommend staying here if you need somewhere to stay short term.

This is no bad reflection on the hotel and this was on my last morning so it didn't effect me that much but the electricity did keep on cutting out. But the problem as far as I know was sorted quickly.

Good value for money, excellent location for the O2 - about 25 minutes to walk at a leisurely stroll and on 3 different bus routes (fare is £1.75) - as well as a couple of big shopping precincts and a number of interesting tourist attractions, friendly and very helpful staff, very clean, comfortable beds, electric showers so always hot water to wash, quiet even though it's on a busy road system in SE10. Access is via a different door to the bar access and is on a number pad locking system so is available whether the bar is open or closed and there is a night watchman too. The shower room and toilet are separate and hand-wash and towels are provided for use in the WC and additional bath mats and towels are available for the shower room if required. All in all, great value for this area. Kids are also welcome if they are well-behaved and rooms are bookable for different occupancy levels. A brochure is provided in the room to tell guests information they might need e.g. bus routes etc.

Nothing to not like for the price really, just simply confirming that no food is served here and there is no lift so it's probably not the best place for less able-bodied. We were on the 3rd floor so it was a lot of stairs to climb! If you're a bath babe you'd be disappointed too. The room isn't en suite but the shared facilities were clean and useable and we didn't have any problems getting showers or accessing the WC.

Absolute brilliant . Stayed here for 02 Arena concert.. Very easy straight off tube onto a bus to hotel . Less than 10mins Check in from through the pub , did take slightly longer to Check in but was informed due to new system. Staff were friendly and customers In pub also friendly We stayed on top floor , had two rooms , one with toilet and showers ( we paid for ) and one with just shower , and shared toilet . Nice and clean big rooms , we could see the o2 form our room that’s how close we were . Breakfast was offered at £10 per head for full English but needed to be pre booked Perfect accommodation for o2 arena , we got a Uber to the arena and walked back 30mins .

Check in through the bar / pub .

The room was very pretty, included a heater and a fan. beds were comfy. Staff were very lovely and welcoming. Room had a kettle and tea bags. surprisingly spacious and we couldn't hear any other guests making noise through the walls. We were on the top floor but the stairs weren't too bad anyway. Got a bit warm but there was a heat wave so it would be warm anywhere, but the fan came in handy and was a pleasant surprise as not many hotels i've stayed in had a fan at all! Close by to a few bus stops, we stayed for a concert at the O2 and it was really easy to get there from the hotel by bus. Travelling as a woman: the rooms felt safe and I was comfortable communicating with the staff as they were also both women and they were kind and welcoming and happy to help as much as they could. Check in and check out was easy. Would definitely stay again in the future.

The little milk cartons for the tea were 2 months off date but they smelled and tasted fine so we drank them anyway, I'm sure staff would have been happy to replace them but we didn't bother because they tasted fine anyway. There is no lift so bare that in mind if you require one. Room/venue had no other issues.

This pub hotel is a really great budget option for events at the O2 Arena. Direct bus links from the hotel to the arena (takes 10 minutes to get there by bus), and there is a bus stop just outside the hotel. (From the arena, you can take the London Underground and easily access the whole city, but be aware that the queues at the station are impossibly long after big concerts and events) Good English breakfast. Clean and tidy rooms. Bathrooms and toilets also very clean and well-kept, considering that they are used by several rooms. The staff are very welcoming, polite and helpful.

Everything was very good for the price and being so close to the O2 Arena. This is especially important after big concerts and events, when it's highly recommended to avoid the Arena's Underground station if possible. Take a bus instead, or walk if you have to (the hotel is a 30 minute walk from the Arena). The hotel's shared bathrooms and toilets may not be for everyone, but the price is also not very high, so it depends on your budget and personal preference.

This is my second stay here, the staff are friendly and make you feel welcome, the rooms are spotless and the beds are very comfy. The room had towels, and tea/coffee making facilities, they even add the little touches such as biscuits and soap! Location for the O2 is great, took us 40 minutes to get there but I'm not a fast walker! Would definitely recommend having a drink there, might be in London but they don't charge London prices!

We had a shared bathroom/toilet, wasn't a massive fan of this as I prefer an ensuite but they were clean and for a 1 night stay I could cope!

There are few good options for a reasonable price like this left in London. It's not near the city center but you can get there quickly by train. The Angerstein has a strategic situation as a base to go to the O2 Arena, which is just a pleasant half-hour walk from the hotel on foot (and by night, for some reason, the neighbourhood is packed with foxes, a funny view), the Thames riverside and the Greenwich museums, like the National Maritime Museum. The staff is very friendly, it has a cozy bar to have a drink on a rainy day and the rooms are fine. I will definitely stay again at Angersteins if there is availability the next time I go to the O2 or Greenwich.

An elevator would be great, but I know those things are expensive. Don't come if you don't like stairs very much.

Everything was clean and fresh in the room and bonus of a wash basin. so only had to use shared facility of separate toilet and separate shower. Book on nearby things to do..trains buses taxis..very helpful and the taxi service to O2 was great and cost£10 which I think was reasonable as too hot to go on the bus with my health conditions.thank goodness for a good fan in the room as so warm.

It wasn't that I didn't like..it was a late booking for me due to a concert and unfortunately they are doing upgrades and redecorating..so I had to go on top floor 4 flights so my legs were bad later on.the staff said if I come again to ask for room on lowest floor.. which i will. But that's the only thing was a problem as it was so hot.. thats why I only gave it an 8 otherwise it would have bern a ten

My room overlooked a main road so was quite noisy until early hours but then it was nice and peaceful. The one complaint I have is that the radiator was on full heat and with no air con., it was stiflingly hot - which made getting to sleep a little longer after I had turned off the radiator - I had a electric fan in the room which I needed to repair before I could use it but no great deal - an easy ten minute job for me !! The lady that assisted me was exceptional and so incredibly helpful - and my sincere thanks go to her and apologies for not seeing her in the morning but I was up and gone around 7 am - would stay here again but would prefer a room with en-suite bathroom if they have one! Thank you - Tracy
