The Portobello Hotel

Beautiful and well done interior design — both for the hotel common spaces as the room. Cozy and colorful. Great attention to detail. The hot coco offered with turn down service was a sweet touch. Lovely staff— kind and attentive. Beds are comfortable — shower was fantastic! Close to Nottinghale Gate Station (Circle, Central and District Lines) and a close walk to many delightful restaurants and shops Nottinghill has to offer. Would definitely stay here again.

Nothing I didn’t like. Only to note the room was cozy and small. Well suited for 1 person, might be tight for 2 in terms of luggage storage and having space to unpack/pack.

I love the Notting Hill area and stayed at the hotel many years ago. It has, in the meantime, been refreshed and the rooms are exquisitely done with antiques. The room was sunny and spacious, and gave onto a beautiful big park: so it was extremely quiet. The bed was like a soft cloud. Dimmable lighting. There was a huge bathroom with both a shower and a lovely big bathtub, and cuddly bathrobes in the walk-in closet. It was a bit pricey, but what isn't in London? It was certainly worth every Pound.

Good location, quiet residential street close to Portobello and Notting Hill- cab ride to the West End. Small boutique townhouse hotel, nicely presented.

Our bedroom was on the top floor- it was cold and didn’t really warm up enough. It was incredibly cold weather so that probably didn’t help but despite looking cosy, it didn’t feel cosy which was a shame.

The hotel staff reached out before we arrived ensuring everything we needed was handled. When we checked in we were met with a hot wet hand towel to wipe the grim from travelling off and warm drink. The staff were great. The bed was the comfiest bed we had slept on during 40 days in Europe. The room was well laid out. The bathroom products smelled wonderful (and cleaned too!). Hot chocolate in our room in the evening was a nice touch. The location is amazing.

Quiet location, very lovely continental breakfast choices. All of the hotel was well presented and exceptionally clean. Pleasant and friendly staff, happy to help.

Check in is a little late in the day. Bed very very soft, and duvet too thick for time of year. Although a very good range of toiletries, they were heavily scented which I really didn't like.

Fantastically helpful and friendly staff. Service was really slick and prompt. Surroundings were a mix of comfy, quirky and sumptous. Lovely location with a fantastic view over the gardens in our upgraded room Very comfy bed.

The noise from repair works in another room disturbed the peace - we were warned, but still a shame The drinks were a little short on quality supplies. Had to request some fresh milk which we put into the fridge, and had to move a bottle of drink to elsewhere in the fridge to do so. Then got charged for using the mini bar. For the room price, I don't feel that there should be an additional charge for cooked breakfast items - all items should be included. For the room the ensuite was rather small and a little tired. Restricted bathroom surfaces Room furniture quite dusty.

Quiet location, intimate and stylishly decorated with a really relaxing atmosphere. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. We loved the honestly bar and lounge for a drink before going out or when coming back in the evening.

Nothing - we had the perfect stay

I must admit that my expectations had not been particularly high - but after my stay I became a convert! A comfortable and tastefully decorated bedroom, civilised bathroom and the convenience of having the attached pub (to the front of the building) for meals. The staff were friendly and professional.

Nothing under the hotel's control. Shepherd's Bush Road can be busy, but that goes with the territory.

Silly things - no tissues in the bathroom and my husband likes a tv in his room and there is none. I didn’t think to check prior to booking so my fault, but would mean we wouldn’t stay again.
