The whole experience at Valentino's was of the highest quality. From the friendly and simple check in through to my room, which was of the highest quality with facilities above my expectation, to the most magnificent breakfast options. The room was of good size and included a safe, silent running mini fridge with fresh milk and bottles of water, and a splendid wet room. The bed was extremely comfortable with quality linen and the lined curtains cut out any possible light and external sound. There was a good size tv and tea and coffee making facilities that were simple to use. As to the breakfast, this was without doubt the most enjoyable experience I have encountered at any similar, or even higher rated, accomodation with an Italian based menu that covered all tastes and was obviously freshly prepared. The bonus was even a steak option if you wished! In short the most enjoyable time I could have wished for in the most enjoyable of surroundings.

There was nothing lacking at all.

Free breakfast included was 3 courses - savoury croissant, Italian granola and then an option of cooked breakfast (all free), and very tasty. Room was a good size and exceptionally clean. Service was very good from all staff encountered, and they went above and beyond. Car parking included. Accommodation is accessed via the back of the restaurant via a separate door, so you don't need to walk through the restaurant. Located in the centre of Ripon, approx 6 minute walk from Cathedral and a 2 minute walk to the main market square.

I am struggling to think of anything that needs changing. If I had to nit-pick, some would find the walk-in shower floor slippery - perhaps there being a higher grip mat available , or something along those lines would solve this. And a shelf in the shower would be a nice addition. But I must reiterate that this is nit picking, we had an excellent stay.

This was a fantastic place to stay. The location is in the centre of Ripon, just off Market Place. When I arrived I was shown to my room and how everything worked. My room was called Lazio and was apartment-style - on the first floor was the well-appointed lounge and a bathroom with roll-top freestanding bath. The staircase takes you up to the beautifully appointed bedroom and a separate shower-room with shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer etc.. The bed and pillows were wonderfully comfy and there are shutters and good thick curtains to block out the light (if needed). Everything was spotlessly clean. I had chosen to stay here in order to attend an event elsewhere so did not have dinner, but the breakfast was superb. An excellent choice of cold and hot which can ordered and freshly baked, warm croissants with an Italian twist. This was a lovely place to stay and I would definitely come back if I needed to return to Ripon or the surrounding area.

Not applicable - liked it all

Valentino's is an exceptional find, right in the heart of Ripon, (with parking), but tucked away in a quiet corner. The room was modern, clean and comfortable, the bed was very comfy, and we had a good nights sleep both nights we were there. The food is simply amazing on the two nights !!! We could only manage a shared starter and main course as the portions were generous, We saw some people eating three courses... impressive! Every mouthful was delicious, I didn't want the meal to end. Breakfast was just as good, a far cry from the usual (sometimes sad) full English, with interesting choices, all of them wonderful. Cannot recommend highly enough. Every member of staff we met was welcoming, polite and friendly, what a lovely place.

Absolutely nothing, they have got it spot on.

This was an excellent place to stay, and to eat. We enjoyed two meals: evening and breakfast, and both were very good indeed. All the staff were super-friendly, too.

The parking situation wasn't very clear (we were advised to put a bollard in the parking-space we left, in order to 'save' it for ourselves later - that worked, but my wife had to manoeuvre a bollard while dressed up!). The other thing: on our bed was a big thick duvet - too thick for the time of year - we were roasting and ended up throwing it off. Couldn't accommodations offer summer-weight duvets for that time of year?

The property is just as described as a restaurant with rooms. What made it better than expected were the staff/owners and the extra touches. The room had a fridge with bottled water and fresh milk and a coffee maker and kettle were provided with coffee pods and Yorkshire teabags and biscotti in a jar. The bathroom had toiletries and everywhere was very clean. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was lovely as it was also in the morning. Home made croissants are brought to you as you choose your main breakfast. We had wonderful fruit, yoghurt and granola followed by poached eggs with smoked salmon and coffee. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. You can hear traffic noise but that is to be expected. The owners and staff all work incredibly hard to make the business a success.

All members of staff were polite, friendly and professional. The room was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. Loved that there was fresh milk and beautiful biscotti. Breakfast was amazing! The filled croissants were out of this world! Evening meal was exceptional too.

Storage in the room was very limited as it was just a few hooks on the wall. As we only stayed one night, it wasn’t an issue. However, it might be more of a problem for longer stays.

Danni and all the team provided excellent customer service. Nothing was too much trouble and they had time for everyone. The food was wonderful. The Italian themed breakfast was so much tastier than the usual full English. The rooms have been fitted to a very high standard and everywhere was spotlessly clean.

The only issue is traffic noise in rooms at the front of the building. I live in a very quiet village so this may not affect everyone.

This place was amazing. Staff, facilities food, and personalities. If you want to know what good service is look no further than Valentino! My wife and I couldnt have been happier! Nothing is too much trouble for your staff, great positive attitude from everyone thank you. Food in the resteraunt done to a very high standard. The place was packed all night and yet the service was great. My wife is gluten, dairy, and egg free It was no problem. Thank you all for an amazing stay and we can't wait to return. Angie and Andre

Warmest of welcomes. High end fixtures and fittings in these stylishly appointed rooms. On site parking Wonderful, authentic food in the restaurant in the evening. Nice wine choices.

Despite the 'what we didnt like' comments next, all 4 of us loved our stay and would recommend. Be sure to read what we all liked. Bit of traffic noise (I used earplugs). No blackout blinds behind the curtains, so woke with sun rise. Breakfast felt more like a Brunch with the unusual savoury offerings. Both croissant choices were savoury and presented before being asked if we wanted them, or realised they were savoury, and we couldn't tell which was meat, and which was cheese/tomato. If you are vegetarian, be sure to ask.
