The room behind the face of the hotel was a lovely surprise. A recently refurbished space, a good size (127 sq feet) and a private bathroom. The bathroom had a shower over the bath, a heated floor and nice guest supplies. Overlooks the street but is not noisy (on a weeknight). The bedroom was beautifully finished with a kingsized bed, fabulous tartan curtains, space to store things and a comfy chair, desk, small fridge, kettle and coffee (Nespresso-like machine). The rooms are located upstairs (no lifts), 1 or 2 flights depending on your allocated room. Check-in only between 3 pm and 6 pm at the bar. Manned until midnight, with a key for an after-hours entrance if required. Our room included breakfast, which was the same offering as the restaurant. Nice coffee as well. Well located on North Street, at the start of the town main streets. Close to numerous restaurants, eating places, shops and banks. The Adamson for Dinner $$$ range, also has a lovely cocktail bar The Hitch for brunch $$ Walking distance to the wharf, both beaches, the local Leisure centre and of course the St Andrews Links. Walk/swim the beach made famous by the Chariots of Fire movie.

The bed pillows were not as plush/soft as the room, a bit large and lumpy.

What a wonderful stay. The room was large and luxurious with a very comfortable bed, large bathroom with a heated floor and nice toiletries. Provided a hair dryer and a hair straightener. The restaurant was also very good we have both breakfast and dinner there. There is no lift (elevator) which is common in the UK - this was the only place we stayed that the staff jumped up to help us carry our bags upstairs! Short walk to anywhere in St. Andrews

It seemed to be the time of year due to the students being in final exams, but the restaurant was short staffed and it took an hour to get your meal. Everyone was super nice about it; I think it was just bad time of year.

The location is perfect, on one of St Andrew's main streets. The room was large and comfortable, great shower, and the heated bathroom floor was a delight. The cooked breakfast, which is included in the stay, was really superb. Nespresso machine, mini fridge, ghd hair dryer, nice bathroom products. Having the bar and restaurant downstairs is very handy, and you can take a drink to your room too.

There is some street noise when the pubs close, but it was brief. There is on-street parking outside but it was impossible to find a space — use the cheap car park just a few meters away (Argyle Street North) or there's free parking further away. It would have been good to have some milk for tea/coffee, but the bar gave me a little jug without any problems.

The members of staff I encountered were excellent- very friendly and helpful. They swiftly reset the room as a twin for my daughter and me, as it was set up as a double on arrival. The room and bathroom were beautifully appointed. There was a good choice at breakfast and it was delicious! 😋

I had hoped to relax and watch some TV after dinner however we couldn't get the TV to work despite the best efforts of staff. It took me a while to realise that the thermostat wasn't increasing the room temperature as I needed to turn the radiator itself up.

Lovely big spacious room with very comfortable bed - Staff friendly and welcoming - Breakfast excellent - Staff very obliging with giving fresh milk for morning tea and carafes of water for bedroom - Location excellent -

The central location means noise from the street is unavoidable - this is true of all hotel rooms that face onto the main streets - it is a pay-off for a great location, good value hotel - and not a deal breaker I'd say.

The staff were really friendly and helpful and this really made our stay. The room is really clean, modern and comfortable. The location is really central too which really increased the value for money on the stay. Likewise, a lovely breakfast was included which also made the stay really great value. The breakfast menu was really varied for all requirements. We had dinner and drinks in the Saint as well and throughly enjoyed it and again the staff were very friendly. I can strongly recommend the Saint for staying in St Andrews or for drinks and dinner. We will definitely use the Saint again and thank you to the staff for making it such a great stay!

We received a warm, friendly and helpful welcome from staff on arrival for our two night stay. They apologised for tv not working in the room, however they gave us a generous discount on our room rate, which was appreciated. The room was lovely, spacious, clean and tidy. Bed was big and comfortable, while the bathroom was lovely, with a great shower. We dined at the restaurant on the first night and enjoyed our meal. There was plenty of choice on the breakfast menu, which was available between 9am-11am, which suited us, rather than others that have breakfast times too early. The hotel is well located within St Andrews, at the end of a shopping area. We used the metered parking down at the beachfront, which is only a 5 minute or so walk away. It cost about £5 (in total) to cover from our arrival on Friday afternoon, until we left on Sunday afternoon. We just had to pop down once to put more money in, which was no great hassle. An enjoyable visit to St Andrews.

On the first night of our stay, there was a group of people who were talking really loudly outside for about 30-40mins from just after midnight. This obviously wasn’t the hotel’s fault but it was a bit annoying. (The hotel is a bar and restaurant also)

The staff was so friendly and helpful, the facilities and breakfast were really lovely, the room was really nice with heated floors in the bathroom. There was a fridge with fresh milk and a really great GHD hair drier you don’t expect at a hotel. The location was so central andn convenient! Highly recommend.

The room could have been cleaned better while we were staying there and the coffee maker didn’t work properly.

We requested 2 beds. The room was not set up with 2 beds but the hotel offered us a second room. This was a great offer that compensated greatly and was very appreciated. The rooms are great! very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. Love the heated floors in the bathroom.

The stair landing could be improved. There was a cleaning bucket and cleaning materials at the bottom of the staircase. This didn't make us feel that we were in a nice hotel. Also, there are many marks on the walls and door in the landing area of the staircase. This could be improved to better reflect on the overall decoration and quality of the restaurant and hotel.

The room was a good size and really comfortable though a wider choice of teas/coffees etc. would have been made it better.

The breakfast was disappointing in that there was no cereal and we had to ask for juice. Luckily we didn't want a continental breakfast. The quality of the cooked food served at breakfast was very good. As the room was on the second floor you should consider some sort of lift for luggage. I'm fit so managed the cases but I think many would find it a struggle.
