The owners and staff were fabulous. On arrival, we were given a lovely warm welcome. Our room with an ensuite was a good size, and we had a door going out onto a small patio area that had a table and chairs. The bed was very comfy. There was a kettle, mugs, a selection of teas and coffees, and a mini fridge with bottled water and milk. Everything was very clean and well looked after. We had our dog with us, and he was allowed everywhere in the Inn with us. The breakfast options were great and all freshly made. We didn't have our evening meal there, and we very much regretted that. The food we saw and could smell looked absolutely delicious.

Nothing.

Superb room, beautifully finished, and, spotlessly clean. Good selection of teas, etc., and mini fridge for any additional drinks you may have brought with you! Totally dog friendly and a safe space at the rear of the Inn. Welcoming hostess, Annette, with the pub's resident laid back golden retriever, Harris, made our stay even more enjoyable. Lovely little restaurant, intimate, great vibe in the little bar area, and, no restriction on where your dogs were allowed to be. We'll be back!!!

We cannot find anything to complain about, or, be disappointed with!

Very warm, friendly hosts, especially Harris the golden retriever! The Inn was a welcoming place with small but comfortable social space, they have a lot of outdoor seating which will be lovely when we eventually get good weather in Scotland. The food was equally as good, we dined in both nights and had lovely food on both nights. The breakfast menu is great, lots of choice and beautifully cooked. Our room had a small patio area which was great for letting the dog out, it also had a fantastic shower, so much so I didn't want to step out!

A couple of table lamps would be nice in the room (no. 6), the dimmer switch for the ceiling lights didn't work so the lighting was a bit bright. However, this would not stop me from staying again in the future or recommending the Inn to my friends and family.

The highlight of the stay at the Inn has to be the hospitality of the two owners, Annette & Maxx, who were incredibly welcoming and friendly. I arrived mid-afternoon and hadn't had lunch because of short connection times, but Annette very kindly made me a sandwich on the house. That evening we got chatting with both owners into the small hours of the morning - over some very agreeable whiskey & beer! The room was large, clean & comfortable with plenty of tea & water & biscuits available. What's more, the place as a whole was in a great location. They also have a wonderful dog, Harris!

Nothing could be better!

It is impossible to recommend this inn enough, and we just spent 3 nights there. The room was spacious, private, quiet and clean. All the staff was absolutely fantastic - so friendly, so helpful. And not superficially. They really did everything they could to make your stay as comfortable and nice as possible. We also had 3 dinners at the restaurant. They were to die for! Quality food, fresh and carefully made. And this relaxed, comfortable, pleasant atmosphere everywhere! Really appreciated it.

Everything was simply lovely.

Staff offered a warm and friendly welcome throughout our stay. The cleanliness and quality if accommodation was fabulous and the little attention to detail meant that it felt like home from home. The breakfast was beautifully cooked and quality of food excellent. We also had dinner the previous night and best roast beef dinner we have had in a very long time, so would recommend eating there too.

Nothing to not like.

We were attending a wedding at the nearby Falside Mill. The Inn is a couple of minutes along the road from the venue and provided a warm and friendly base for our trip. The food on offer was excellent and very reasonably priced. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. Harris the golden retriever is an added bonus and gives you a warm welcome anytime you enter the bar.

We couldn’t fault the the property.

All the staff were very pleasant and looked after our needs with ease. The hotel has lovely clean bedrooms with good beds & pillows, only slight issue is shower pressure but this didn’t detract from our stay. Food was excellent for both breakfast and evening meals. Location next to the river is idilic with seating outside. Sian on reception was first class and Paul the restaurant manager also.

Could not fault anything

The food was first class great breakfast eggs perfect very good indeed and great location as we had a wedding nearby which the owner kindly drove us to, I’ve played the course but never explored the beach so it was great to do that as it’s a stunning coastline with lovely Sandy beaches.
