We had a wonderful time! Our room was nicely done and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast options were everything we wanted in a lovely setting. We watched Luna bring him her breakfast and we enjoyed the reaction of another family’s children to seeing Luna with a mouse - they were so excited 😆. It was great to meet the owners - so friendly and welcoming. My wife Kate says that, if you ever need an assistant manager, she’s available! It’s a long commute from North Carolina but she’ll make it work.

Nothing! The right turn out of the entranceway takes a little practice when there’s traffic but I got the hang of it!

The proprietor and breakfast server were exceptionally helpful and kind to us, guiding us to tourist sites and available. The downstairs common area was so comfortable. There are things to do like ping pong, pool and a few other things that we didn't use but it's unusual and would have been fun. The setting is lovely, nice to be a short distance from town - quiet and beautiful grounds. I liked the candy they set out by the entry!

Our room was really small. We figured one of us needed to sit on the bed while the other move around. It's ok because it is an historical building and the good aspects made up for the cozy room and stairs. These old buildings have to add bathrooms to the rooms which makes them smaller!

We stayed in the railway carriage. It was fun for one evening, but might have been a bit cramped for a longer visit. Its certainly comfortable, with sitting room, bedroom and en-suite shower. The garden is nice with furniture provided. It even has basic golf practice area for chipping etc. Breakfast was really great.

The interior of the railway carriage is perhaps becoming a little dated. But some would say it fits with the period of the railway carriage. It's a little way out of town, so driving to and from St Andrews is necessary.

Lovely breakfasts - cereals , fresh fruits , etc and full Scottish breakfast available. Tasteful and stylish decorated bedroom with generous size bathroom and a classy large lounge area with reception and beautiful hall / stairway .We enjoyed the character of this guest house .,Very accommodating hosts and staff . Lovely touches recognising the history of the property - door key fob was in the style of a railway ticket . Location was fabulous to get to St Andrews with only a short drive .

Breakfast was great with everything cooked fresh. The location was just too far from town to walk easily into town - but that was not really a problem and the advantage was that we were definitely in the countryside. Ailsa, Dean and Amanda were very friendly and helpful. The railway carriage was a very nice conversion - a little quirky and a little narrow for a double bed - but with plenty of charm - simply different - a change from yet another hotel room. The bedroom was a little cold on the first night but we didn't mind - but we were informed that the maintenance guy was coming - and on the second night, the heating certainly worked .

Breakfast service perhaps finished a little earlier than we might have liked. Not sure there as anything else that we might warn anyone about.

Dean and his wife were very welcoming and the property is very unique and inviting. The room was plenty big for us. Breakfast was served in a nice bright dining room. Overall nice quiet location right outside of the town center.

Unfortunately you really cannot safely walk into town, so you need to drive or take a taxi (10-12£). Not an issue, just something to know. The room could use a bit of an upgrade, specifically the bathroom as the toilet seat is off centered and is generally older, but all functioning. One packet of cookies presented on the tea/coffee cart in the room was open and half eaten. No real problems noted.

From the time we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. Our room was very comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was delicious with an excellent choice both on the buffet and the cooked breakfast. We had our own key to the front door so arriving back late after a wedding was no problem. The guest house was only five minutes by car from St Andrews so was very convenient.

Breakfast fast, hot, fresh, served to order. Beds comfortable. Liked game room, plenty of board games and a pool table. Staff pleasant and accommodating, allowed early check in and we're lovely in the morning. Bathtub was deep and large.

Room ran quite cold, though there was portable heater available. No door on shower and no mat for floor. Multiple cats on premises makes it difficult for folks with allergies - should be stated somewhere. Automobile dependent as there is no late meal availability or public transportation within walking distance.

Fantastic location close to St Andrews. Very welcoming hosts, who were just lovely! Loved the little touches such as railcard as a key - great concept. Also the breakfast was great. Very comfy beds.

It is quite a tight space, fine for just the two of us. But it is tight if you get the pleasure of staying in the carriages - worth it though.

Great location within five minutes of St Andrews township. Close to the quaint coastal towns. Lovely hosts and very spacious guest areas for relaxation away from the bedrooms.

Our room was immediately above what must have been an outside water heater or boiler which was a little noisy at times.
