Hotel 21

Hotel 21 is situated in a quiet road just behind Lord Street. This gives you easy access to everything but without the noise. Reception staff lovely and so helpful. I booked what I thought was a room with a king bed and was sharing with a friend but was smaller. We were upgraded to the penthouse suite which meant we both had a bed each. This did not disappoint. It was huge and equipped with everything u could need. It would sleep 6 but it was just two of us. We will definitely be booking again and will probably go for the penthouse. Everything was spotless and smelt really nice from stepping through the front door right up to our room. The bed was the most comfortable I have slept in. Looking forward to staying again

Nothing. What’s not to like?

Friendly staff. Easy check in. Big comfortable bed. Very clean. Free on street parking after 6pm. Great central location. Plenty of very nice pubs and restaurants right on the doorstep. Beach, cinema, attractions and museum/art gallery all within easy walking distance. Enormous smart TV at the end of the bed with streaming services and free wi-fi, so plenty to keep you entertained if the weather turns.

It would be great if the hotel had parking - but I understand this isn't always possible. Street space is at a premium in Southport. Nearby there is some all day parking for £3 - so not a showstopper by any means.

I loved everything about the hotel the staff where lovely. my door fob didn’t work so I was upgraded. I had travelled for a running race so booked just a single room but was upgraded to a double. the decor of the hotel lovely and the staff really lovely too.

the only thing that unnerved me was I heard sirens and it was a police car with lights flashing under my window. it was only early evening just after 7 and the police came into the hotel and I could hear them knocking but they never came to my room. they then left.

The room was gorgeous, we did have a moment where we looked at one another surprised the room had no door on the en suite (this was by design rather than it being missing) but the hotel gets a well deserved thumbs up. A huge 75” tv on the wall meant we had our own cinema in the room after a great day out. The staff were friendly and helpful and we couldn’t fault the cleanliness of the room. Pity the restaurant was being refurbished so was closed but that’s not a complaint. Would we recommend to friends, yes. Would we visit again, yes.

looks very modern and trendy, gorgeous artwork on the walls and reception smells lovely. There is a lift, the penthouse was really nice, massive TV, comfy beds, lovely rainfall shower, plenty of towels and toiletries. Nice added extras like water and milk in the fridge etc and Dyson fans were a great touch as it was very warm (did cool down)

In the penthouse there is no door to separate the living room from the bedroom, which meant you couldn’t help but hear everyone snoring

The room was gorgeous, very clean, and spacious, and had everything we needed! The bed was so comfortable, I didn't want to get out of it! The staff were brilliant, very helpful and very kind to provide us with a complimentary bottle of prosecco as the stay was for my hen night! Loved every second of our stay!

Easy location to find, parking outside-was pay and display but very reasonable! I had booked the wrong date, unknowingly a week out🙈and Daisy, the receptionist, was absolutely amazing! sorted it out with expertise… she was fantastic! The bedroom/hotel was very chic…with lots of space and amenities to store food and have hot and cold food. Comfortable big bed, shower, with fluffy towels, hairdryer… all what you need!

The hotel is in a great location. Very clean great service staff very friendly. I would definitely stay again for longer as we wasn’t there much with staying over for a wedding. The room was great bed really comfy huge tv which is always good. Worth the money.

The only downside was no iron but completely get its a hazard. I’m sure if I would have asked I would have been given one luckily it was only for a jacket to go home in so I didn’t care.

A very good hotel well situated and nice rooms. However I dont like having to pay an additional £100 deposit in addition to a high room rate. I was told that if I paid in cash I would be refunded the following morning. However on leaving the reception was un manned and the door locked. I did get a call later that day asking why I didnt collect the money ?? They did say they would refund to my debit card. The room was fine bit the floor in the shower is very slippy and extremely dangerous. Also there is no soap dish etc on which to place soap. shower gel etc

From arriving staff were exceptional and very helpful. The entire place was spotless, cleanest hotel iv been too so far. Highly recommended 👌

They do gave baths in other rooms, I would of liked a bath
