The Vincent Hotel

The staff were lovely very helpful. The room was spotlessly clean and a very big comfortable bed. The bar/restaurant was beautifully decorated and the food and drinks were great . Breakfast was amazing. A WONDERFUL STAY FROM START TO FINISH ☆☆☆☆☆

Great sized room, lovely bathroom, lots of thought goes into the customer experience, very comfortable bed and pillows. Well decorated. The accompaniments (e.g. the sewing kits) were a great added bonus. Customer service was excellent. Thank you for our anniversary welcome and chocolates.

The room was far too hot. we were not able to reduce the temperature to below 19 degrees on the thermostat. Due to the noise outside, we couldn’t open the window to cool the room down. The heated mirror was left on when we arrived but we didn’t spot it until 4.30am. The clicking noise from the mirror had kept us awake, along with the heat.

First of all, we absolutely love our trips to this hotel - they always bring a fabulous experience! The location of the hotel is brilliant - central to all the local amenities of Southport and situated on Lord Street. The valet parking is reasonable, easy and convenient, so driving and parking to the property is very straightforward and only £20 for the night. The breakfast is delicious - hot, fresh and tasty. The menu has a good selection and the portions are plentiful. The hotel itself - including the dining room - is modern, spotlessly clean and stylish. The bedrooms are always cosy and warm - a very comfortable nights stay. The luxurious large bath tub is great for a soak! The rooms are again very clean and well-presented. All of the hotel staff are friendly, welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. It makes such a difference when you have a staff team that all seem to go above and beyond to make your stay the best it can be! I think the remarkable Vincent team really do contribute to making our stays such a special and exceptional experience each year! We can’t wait to come back in 2023! Thank you to The Vincent!

We honestly couldn’t say what we feel could of made our stay any better. It was well worth the price we paid! We return every year to The Vincent and can’t fault the property - hence why we visit year on year!

Beautifully decorated hotel, helpful and friendly staff. Good quality breakfast buffet. The bathroom had The White Company toiletries and a gorgeous deep bath, lots of space. The bedroom was equally good, coffee machine, fridge etc.

Lighting in the room, even the bathroom was dim so very difficult to apply make up. Lack of information in the room, no drinks menu or what time breakfast was served till or even what numbers to call on the hotel phone for restaurant etc.

The hotel was ideally located for our Xmas get together with friends at The Grand on Lord street , the room was nice and the bed comfortable , the valet service was very efficient and saved us the hassle of parking 2 cars , we found all the staff helpful and friendly

The tap in the bathroom was a bit unusual and took some practice to turn off , my wife always checks the pillows and the cushions in Hotel rooms , when she removed the cushion covers the cushions were very stained , as though someone had been using them as pillows , so housekeeping needs to make sure they check things out like that

Staff are lovley, can't do enough for you. Restaurant and rooms are clean and bright. Brilliant location for shops and train station.

Additional £20 per day charge for vallet parking. Pay and display is available close to the hotel but isn't secure. If you have a shower in the bathroom be prepared to use your towels for the bathroom floor as it becomes a swimming pool in a few minutes. Air con in room turns off after a few seconds of turning on, luckily it was cool enough outside to have the window open.

Room was large and quiet with only occasional noise from outside. Bed was very large and comfortable. There was a good selection of food at breakfast, both continental and English. Restaurant staff were attentive without being intrusive. All staff, including reception and housekeeping staff, were approachable and courteous.

The room was rather dimly lit. There wasn't really sufficient light to read by and, if someone had needed to work from their room, they would have needed to ask for an extra table lamp. The Japanese submersion tub in the bathroom took a bit of getting used to and was less accessible than a walk-in shower would have been. The electronic key card lock was also rather more "miss" than "hit" and asking reception to reprogramme key cards didn't make things much better.

room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The bed was a great size and very comfortable. The hotel is in a very good central location and is tastefully decorated. Staff were friendly and professional. we were initially concerned about parking but this is no problem as you can park on Lord St outside the hotel which is free between 6pm and 8am then at other times to can pay easily using the app. This suited us as we were out in the car the majority of the time.

The only thing we didn’t like was the design of the bath/shower which was extremely awkward to climb in and out of unless you are 6ft tall and then inside the bath is a step which is quite dangerous. We are able bodied but anyone elderly or with any mobility problems (even minor) I would think would not be able to use it at all

I enjoyed my stay at the Vincent, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, breakfast was very good and staff very attentive. It's a good location for all amenities in Southport.

Parking was a bit pricey at £20.00 a day and wasn't really advertised when you are booking initially, had I know that was the price would probably have searched to see if there were any cheaper alternatives in the area, although it was handy just dropping the car off and they parked it for you so maybe that was reflected in the pricing. Would have to factor that in if looking for hotels in that area in the future.

Welcome was warm, the valet was excellent and reception was really warm- I had contact with reception staff prior to arrival and they were exceptionally polite, professional and helpful with every request. The room was clean and spacious, bed very comfy, and a good sized shower room. The location was great, facilities good- we would have liked a pool or access to a hot tub, but appreciate that might be hard given the location. The stand out was the food at the restaurant- absolutely excellent! I requested a cake for the room prior to arrival and that was astounding! Thank you.

The restaurant was under staffed in the evening and we waited a long time- it was over staffed in the morning but the staff were less attentive. We spent a lot on two massages- the therapists were very good but the massage was accompanied by the soundtrack of a children’s tv programme and adverts which was very poor. I normally pay half what I did at the Vincent and this was really disappointing.
