beautifully laid out many lovely areas to relax in comfort. clean and the desk& waiting staff extremely helpful, hard to single anyone out but Hugh on the desk particularly helpful.

There was only one drawback and not about the actual property. The kitchen needs a real shake up as sadly the food was poor, needs a Chef who really does know how to cook and present good food.

Breakfast was good, fresh and plentiful. There was an excellent choice of continental and full English dishes. Staff very pleasant, helpful and served quickly and efficiently.

There was no hot water on the day of departure. Unable to shower. Hotel staff made no attempt to inform us of this and we wasted much water running it away thinking that it would eventually run hot. No compensation of any description offered. Told by reception they didn’t have staff who could have called us in room to explain situation. Surely a handwritten note pushed under the bedroom door would have been better than nothing. The hotel was not full and using this as reason for lack of attempting to communicate with guests is poor.

The hotel was well situated in the middle of the town and the location was good for our purposes - meeting up of old friends. The Library was a nice room to relax in. Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities in the room were good. Nice tea and coffee and shower worked well. Heat in the room could be regulated.

Breakfast on both mornings was disappointing. A small fillet of a kipper. One rasher of bacon with a spoonful of scrambled egg on the second day. The tea had no taste and looked grey. The hotel is difficult for those with mobility issues. There are a lot of stairs, narrow passages and corners. There is a lift but is not well located. It didn’t reach one of our friends room. Drinks were not cheap £39 for a bottle of Prosecco and a 12.5% service charge added to food and drink.

Hotel, restaurant, room, all excellent.

We had a £100 voucher which the manager initially refused to accept, causing embarrassment to myself and my guests. On departure, my friends were asked to pay a restaurant bill which wasn’t theirs.

Breakfast was extremely good with friendly service and a good choice. Quantities were generous and the staff seemed happy to deal with any request for changes. The evening meal again was great with a good range to choose from. I don't usually drink alcohol as I have to drive a lot but the wine list had some good choices and at various price points. We had come here to celebrate the 100th anniversary of my late father who is buried close to Moreton. The room was a good size - room 14 - and has the best shower I have come across - huge, warm and two separate shower heads.

The hotel was fine - there was a conference/Christmas party from a company there which was a bit noisy but the staff made sure we had a table as far away from the noise as possible. The next morning one of the party was quite rude to one of my guests but the staff did there best to deal with this. I suspect he was hung over. The room was very warm but it was possible to turn the heating down easily. If being extremely picky, it would have been nice to have the BBC News channel on the TV - or Radio 4.

Everything. I found parking right outside, although there is additional parking at the rear, I had an upgrade that I wasn't expecting, to a most beautiful and spacious room. I literally could sell my house and move in! There was ample space in the room with a superlatively comfy table and chairs, ideal for working at, the comfiest bed with spotless linens and a beautiful walk in shower and spacious bathroom. The toiletries were so delicious, I purchased some to take home. There were also robes and slippers as well. The views from the double aspect windows were charming. The breakfast was delicious, plentiful, fresh and just amazing.

There is honestly nothing to say here, I had a most wonderful stay.

Very pleasant restaurant with attentive staff

The main course for dinner was ridiculously small. Chicken served without any potatoes (have to pay extra) spring vegetables were actually about 8 peas and 2 very small pieces of tenderstem broccoli. Food and drinks were very expensive and the portion of chicken and vegetables, although well cooked, would not have been enough for a 5 year old. We would have liked to eat again in the hotel on our second evening but not after that experience.

Our room was beautiful, the furniture was lovely, and the wallpaper depicting aristocratic hunting was very nice. The garden is also attractive. The breakfast overlooking the beautiful garden was excellent and well prepared with the best ingredients, and we enjoyed both the full breakfast and the Egg benedict the next day. Dinner was also very very nice. Particularly worth mentioning is that the staffs were very kind, helpful and attentive, but not intrusive. My elderly mother had a great time, thanks to the care and attention of the staffs. We enjoyed the British countryside. I would definitely like to visit again.

Nothing.

Charming hotel, walking distance to a train station. Its a good 10 minute plus walk. The accessibility to a train station is essential without a car, as there are no taxes, and very few busses anywhere! This could be a problem in the rain or with very large suitcases. Very clean and nice breakfast. People with mobility issues may have a problem with the narrow corridors. There is an elevator to some rooms, and only on the first floor. Ask for one of those rooms in advance. Bottled water and soda were replaced daily, much appreciated.

This hotel was the farthest of the hotels, from the train station. Not a problem for most. No air conditioning, but there rarely is in this area. The fan and open windows works.
