Really friendly staff, room was comfortable & location ideal for what we needed. Managed to have some drinks in the bar on arrival & breakfast was great. Good atmosphere in the pub, locals were friendly. Excellent value for money & good communication with the property before arrival.

Parking was a bit tricky because we arrived on Friday evening when the pub was very busy. We were in a room above the bar which was noisy but as we went for a drink it didn't matter & closing time was dealt with efficiently & promptly but if you wanted an early night there were quieter rooms available.

Was kindly greeted on arrival by the owner, Gareth, who is a confirmed motorcycle fan. He showed me to my room which was room 8 'The little cottage' to the side of the beer garden. Very comfortable, clean and spacious and I was able to park my bike right by my door! The pub is very popular with the locals and also the many who attend either the BMW or Triumph off-road schools. Great atmosphere and very friendly. Fabulous breakfast cooked to order and available from 7am so perfect for riding course attendees. There are good food options within a few minutes walk in all directions and Gareth is happy for take-away food to be consumed on the premises. Top man, top pub.

Nothing!

Fabulous breakfast - it really set us up for the day. Staff were really friendly and helpful. We stayed in a self contained chalet at the back of the pub which was really cute with a small table and chairs outside - the weather was a bit wet otherwise we'd have sat out there in the evening. The room was warm and cosy and location was perfect for our short break, walking in South Wales. Not too far from Pen y Fan and also the beautiful Gower peninsula which we also visited. The bar itself is great - full of motorcycling memorabilia and an excellent selection of spirits and beers. I'd definitely stay here again.

A pane of glass on the door of our chalet fell out when we closed the door, but luckily it didn't smash and we were able to place it back into the door frame, but it wasn't secure. We reported this to a staff member. We were leaving the next day so I'm sure they will have fixed it now.

Great location, just took a week away with the wife for our wedding anniversary. Great pub with the hotel rooms separate. Very clean block of rooms, we were very impressed with the cleanliness of the room and en-suite. Breakfast was excellent, a choice of cereal, yogurt, fruit, regular of large English breakfast plus sandwiches, sausage, bacon etc. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The pub was fantastic, a very biker orientated pub with lots of bike memorabilia on show including motorcycles in the pub and crash helmets hanging from the ceiling. The wife and I will definitely be going back again, it was a great base to travel to other parts of wales. The motorcycle group I belong to are also going to be booking a week soon, the landlord is a biker and is more than willing to disclose the best routs to ride. A car park and motorcycle parking area are available behind the block of hotel rooms, There are also more blocks of rooms under construction, the size will more than double the accommodation. Take the plunge, great place with lots of character, you won’t be disappointed.

Nothing to complain about, loved our stay

Friendly staff, the landlord is developing more accommodation and has put in a lot of thoughtful touches, breakfast is wonderful and because they don’t serve food the rest of the day they are happy for visitors to bring in takeaways or their own food (they supply plates and cutlery so no washing up either!).

Chasing honey bees out of the bedroom at ten o’clock at night! There is a nest in the roof that cannot be moved or destroyed as honey bees are quite rightly protected. The bees were docile but we didn’t know about them until we had a problem. A mesh screen over the windows would solve the problem.

The place itself where pretty new and comfy and also quite quiet so I had a good night sleep without any interruptions. It was in the building next to the pub so It was pretty handy to pop round for a few pints or something to eat after all day long of hiking in the nature. After I had arrived I spoke with Rachel and she showed me where my accomodation was and answered all my questions which I had at the time of arrival. Overall very nice place to stay and in a quite good spot if one fancy some hiking in the Brecon Beacon.

Bathroom although very modern and new it was a little bit to small for me as I am not a tiny fellow.

lovely small hotel in rural welsh village. staff were fantastically friendly and the atmosphere in the pub was really good. breakfast was really good and great value

no deltas for the hotel for me. two things to be aware of is 1. there is no evening meal in hotel but plenty of options in the town 2. rooms are adjacent building to bar and rooms are compact but perfect for what I wanted.

Great place to stay if you are touring South Wales. Very convenient for BMW off road skills courses, as well as Triumph equivalent. Drying room, facilities for hanging up bike riding gear in rooms are appreciated. Landlord has worked hard to provide good quality and value for money accommodation. Staff are super friendly and efficient..

Car parking spaces can quickly become full.

Lively, busy pub, arrived on darts match night! Friendly staff. Mega breakfast in the morning served nice and early. I arrived by motorcycle and the pub is very motorcycle orientated in decor but is not a 'Bikers pub' as such. Room in the Annexe was very compact but comfy and quiet. spotlessly clean and with a great little bathroom. The 'Biker tidy' hanging rack was perfect for storing my heavy bike gear!

The only downside was that I couldn't stay for an extra night as they were fully booked!
