Rodeway Inn & Suites Mackinaw City Bridgeview

Room was large, pretty clean. Had a torn curtain and looked like a 4 year old had done some of the painting, but was clean and comfortable. Everything worked, but just felt outdated.

It's an older property. Hasn't been kept up to the original standards, but was clean and had the basics. Fixtures and paint work needed, lukewarm shower.

Breakfast was great! Room was spacious. Staff were incredibly friendly. Beds clean and the room smelled great.

The breakfast space wasn’t very large, ended up eating in my room. Carpets in room felt clammy to walk on. Small child pulled the fire alarm and all sounding alarms were outside of the rooms. Almost didn’t wake up to it.

Location was right next to the start/finish line on bridge. Walking distance to the shops. Just down the road from Fort Mackinac.

Bathroom seemed a little dated or dirty. There was a hole in the wall where the TV cable was coming out of that seemed a little sketchy.

I’ve seen some reviews of this hotel and it seems to me that people are not telling the whole story. Here is my honest review of Roadway Inn & Suits Mackinaw City- Bridgeview. First let me say the staff that my husband and I interacted with was lovely. They were polite and friendly whenever we needed anything they were happy to help. We booked our rooms in January of 2021 for our 4th of July weekend stay and out of the 4 rooms my family and I booked zero were canceled (which is why I am certain people aren’t telling the whole story in their reviews) They even let us check in a little early which was great after a long drive with kiddos! Our room was clean, I ALWAYS bring sanitizing wipes and cleaners with me and wipe down my room no matter if it’s a 1 star hotel or a 5 star hotel (I’ve done this before it was cool), I do it no matter what. Let me tell you that my wipes stayed white (with the exception of a few small fuzzies). We had fresh towels and bedding in the room, there is a sign posted (and you are told at check in) that due to Covid they do not clean rooms while people are staying in them. I completely understand this and had no problems with putting my dirty things and garbages right outside the door and getting fresh linens from the front desk. Yes the rooms are a bit dated but honestly a good steam clean on the carpets and probably some new ac units it’s truly a lovely hotel. The pool was nice, it was warm, we had little ones with us so it was perfect for them to float and splash in. There are not many tables in the pool area but that didn’t bother us at all. They do provide towels to dry off, they are not large towels, but they get the job done. Walking distance to many attractions as well as a small grocery store; there is a nice sized park for children to play at a few blocks away. All in all my family and I had a lovely time during our stay, we were really only in our rooms for naps and bed, the price we paid was certainly worth it.

This is NOT about the hotel but a friendly PSA: For Pete’s sake if you’re staying in a hotel and can not handle your liquor DONT DRINK! No one needs to hear you and your other half fighting at 2am while they (and their children) are trying to sleep. If you stayed here over 4th of July weekend 2021 and were the ones fighting you should be ashamed of yourselves and embarrassed for your children.

I have traveled a lot this summer and have stayed here for several nights. I really enjoy the staff and the rooms are always nice and clean. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom is clean.

The breakfast does not change and does not have much choice. I really think that the management needs to take another look at how to improve it,

Not so happy with breakfast,I didn't like the coffee,only had apple juice and muffins. I understand that because of COVID19 you didn't have a full breakfast . It would be nice if you have orange and apple juice ,begals and muffins, fruit, and good coffee

room was not vacuumed very well. reported that the light outside the second floor elevator was out and they didn’t seem interested about it. was really creepy waiting in the dark.

Very clean and well maintained property. The managers were awesome! Breakfast was delicious. Loved the make your own waffles! Highly recommend this 2 star hotel, especially if you're traveling with a pet 🐕

Close to Highway exit/entrance. Beds were very comfortable and they had good size refrigerators in the room, along with hair dryers and coffee machines. I miss the Continental breakfasts but the grab-n-go was ok. Easy-tap keys was convenient for entry. They also had luggage carts waiting outside, if needed.

Definitely strange, tight parking! The carpeting in hallways and stairwells was old, worn and in need of updating.

All in all, it was exactly what my family needed, nothing fancy, very close to everything we needed, i would return for sure, we had a great time and the staff got us everything we asked for!!!

The shower didnt drain well and the pool was hot, which, honestly was great for the kids, but too hot for me. The room could use a good scrub down, and new pull out couch, the bed on that was broken.
