Super 8 Beachfront by Wyndham Mackinaw City, MI

The location was good compared to rest of the city. Everything was easy to get to and in walking distance. Beach and the balcony were a nice feature. Discounts on breakfast and food offered with you key cards offsite. The staff was very nice on check-in and checking out.

When we arrived at our room it was hot and stuffy. Heat was turned on for a 80 degree summer day. Nothing was plugged in, so we had to find places to plug in lights. There was a mess of cords laying on top of the dresser next to the microwave area, which looked seemed out of place for a hotel. As having the balcony was a plus, it seemed to be neglected. Balcony could have used a powerwash and some new outdoor carpet as it was wearing thru in multiple places. There were many spiders and bugs crawling around. Even the bathroom window was full of spiders and bugs. It's not a good thing when you have kids or adults with fears.

The wonderful woman who worked the front desk was amazing. And the location is perfect for anyone who wants to be close to the downtown Mackinaw City area and have full access to the huge beach and access to the beautiful lake.

The indoor pool area was not clean at all and the entire building the pool is in needs to be renovated or torn down and rebuilt. The pool area was the biggest downfall to our stay. Well below anyones standards of cleanliness and upkeep. Also, the parking lot is not even close to sufficient. We had to park across the street when we got back from walking up town because all the parking spots were full.

Upon arrival no one to speak to. Place locked. Had to go next door to Best Western to sign in and given key. Never heard of this before. If they want the income someone should be there to run the business. Will not stay there again...I don't care what the price is. This was 8:30 in the evening and second week of October. Inconvience when elderly!!!

Nice view of the lake and the bed was very comfortable. Convenient place to stay and within walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

Balcony wasn’t very clean & a cup with cigarette butts were left from prior party. There were a couple of spiders in the room that we had to remove and the breakfast was a brown bag due to COVID, with a granola bar, fruit and water. sufficient enough.

the shower was not draining, Filled up to our ankles while showering, no breakfast except granula bar and water, staff need to monitor parking lot, we found someone sitting on the hood of our vehicle, bed very uncomfortable (hard)

Loved the location. Right on the beach. Quite decent parking.

It was a much older hotel. The bathroom needed caulk changed, a few light bulbs we out. The fridge didn't stay as cold as it could have been. Breakfast ran out before we could eat. It really wasn't a breakfast. The beds were new but very uncomfortable.

Room was dated but very clean.

Very cramped room. They tried to add refrigerator, microwave but door hit them on the way in. Tried to update bathroom but new floor tile had corners ripped off so old tile showed thru. Holes in the walls where they had removed old stuff and didn't fix them. Sidewalk covered in ants. Housekeeping left broom by ice machine so I sweep them myself. Pop machines just about empty and warm. Breakfast was a fruit and something in bag. I understand Covid, but could have been better.

It was a great location.

The wall paper was coming down in the bathroom by the shower, and part of casing for the batteries on the door was missing in 230. Wish there would have been a microwave to heat up food.

Even though the hotel was older, the room was very clean and staff very nice. I would stay here again with my family. Also the hotel is within walking distance to stores/restaurants😃

It was a nice place and I was very pleased they were pet friendly.

Parking spaces were small and not enough of them for the amount of rooms.
