Starlite Budget Inn

The location and price were excellent. The desk clerk was fantastic. She was very friendly and super helpful. I'd love to come back in the summer and stay at this place.

Definitely outdated. I got bit by a spider in my bed the first night. Big ugly one. But that was probably due to the lack of use in the room because it's off season. Not a big deal. It is Michigan.

Centrally located with onsite parking, decent hotel with all facilities. Clean rooms and hygienic bathrooms. Management was friendly and helping.

Check In process done at a different location but was close by with clear instructions. White colored Duvet Covers on the bed could have helped ensure that they are clean. Pricing could have been a little lower.

There wasn’t breakfast. The location was great. Close to Starline ferry and walking was great. Close to the casino

The property wasn’t updated. The room was a little crowded with the furniture. It had a musty odor

The front office lady was so nice and so helpful! She answered all of my questions and gave me so many tips to make my trip the best! Easy to get to shopping and all the city has to offer yet very peaceful since it’s just around the corner from where everyone is. Enjoyed the very clean pools and hot tub. Even with Covid and all restrictions that have been placed on them they went out of their way to still provide a breakfast bag with a bottle of water, apple, and granola bar.

Although it is very clean we did have ants in our room.

Having to go to the Thunderbird to check in. Had to return to our room to leave the key. Wish the sign had been up or we were informed at check in that the office wouldn’t be open until later in the day for key return.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The staff was kind, friendly and helpful. The room could use a bit of updating, but was very clean. We were offered a bag breakfast, but we chose to eat elsewhere only because we wanted more choices, so the office staff was very nice to offer us coupons for a very good deal at one of the local restaurants that we really enjoyed. We really don't have any complaints about our stay. We stayed 2 nights and would definitely stay there, again.

The Starlight has kind/helpful staff. The Starlight is conveniently right along the shuttle route for the ferry. They have an indoor and an outdoor pool. Plus a little playground for the kids to enjoy. If you’re there on a Friday night, you can enjoy the fireworks from the pier right in the Starlight courtyard.

Overall the rooms are outdated, but everything was clean and the rooms sufficed for our weekend trip.

It was comfortable and quiet. We were happy with 2 chairs in the room and it was a bonus having chairs outside. The room cleaning staff always checked with us and did it with a smile.

The shower to be more forceful.

The room was outdated but very clean. They met our request of being by the pool. We loved the pool and playground. We’re even able to see the fireworks from our room on Friday night!

The room was outdated, functional but a little off the busy path. Would stay again though.

Every time my family visits Mackinac we stay at the Starlite. It's conveniently located and a bit of nostalgia for us.

The only downside was they have merged with the hotel next-door and no longer have their own check in office.
