Waterfront Inn Mackinaw City

We stayed in the family suite. We were a little disappointed this room was not directly on the beach however we were not in the room too much. The room slept five of us comfortably, the beds were comfortable and it was just a very short walk to the beach. The rooms were a little outdated.

Rooms need to be updated. The shower wall had tape on the tiles to hold them together.

The view from our balcony was absolutely gorgeous and it was right down the road from the ferry. Staff was very friendly, room was clean and spacious.

The television was super old and outdated, we didn't spend a lot of time watching it anyway but it was obnoxiously small. I would also suggest warning guests about the silver fish (or whatever those flying bugs were) that are attracted to light and come out at night. They were only a problem on the lake side of the hotel but we werent aware how bad they get at night and stupidly opened the balcony door for only a few seconds but it was enough to let in a few dozen. Maybe just a warning, "hey dont open the balcony doors at night due to the bugs."

It was close to all the attractions and food areas. The beds were comfortable and the shower water was hot.

Even though I called ahead to let them know we were coming, when we got there, they gave us keys for a room that wasn't ready yet. After I complained they did give us another room. It'd be nice to have a coffee pot in each of the rooms and even a small Microwave. There was a fridge but no little freezer in it. The pool had sand at the bottom of it,that needed Cleaned out. The spa water was cold.

My stay at the Waterfront Inn exceeded my expectations. Access to the beach, which was private, was very easy. Sitting on the balcony, watching the gulls, geese, ducks and the ferrys to the island was so peaceful. Room was clean, Abundance of towels....staff was polite, helpful and friendly. Couldn't have asked for a better place for the price!

The one and only thing to make it better would be steps for the balconies. Very minor thing

Waterpark is barely functioning and dirty. Waterfront Inn Motel itself and surrounding buildings are unsightly and outdated. Has coffee maker but you'll need to bring your own mugs.

Overlooking the water and seeing the island and bridge. Wife had a great time in the water at 68. I enjoyed watching her. Can't wait for next year same time.

Walked for ice, but need the exercise for I just had knee replacement.

The mattresses were exceptional! Cleanliness was superb as well. We knew they vacuumed daily and we could smell bleach in the bathrooms as well.

I have stayed there probably 30-35 times, this was the only time our room didn't have a clothes bar/hangers. Maybe it was due to Covid restrictions? The state had just opened up a few days before, so things may have been in flux. It was minor, we just thought it was funny and quirky. :-)

The room we had was in the older part of the Inn. We were traveling with our grand-daughters. The bathroom was vintage pink tile, toilet, sink, and bathtub. In great shape and very clean. The girls loved it. It was adorable. We had adjoining rooms, so we had plenty of space, the beds were comfortable, and it was a short walk to the beach. It was a fun, comfortable place to stay.

Staff was friendly and helpful. I love that it was affordable without sacrificing cleanliness or comfort, it made it possible for me to take my kids on a weekend get away within our price range.

The room's could use some updating but then again it was kinda part of the charm. 🙂 New mattresses would be nice though.

CLEAN. 5 second from the beach. A actual hot hotub for once. Nice swimming area. Clean rooms. Great WiFi. Amazing staff. Got the room earlier than my check in. Sells ferry tickets for cheaper then at dock.

Said view on listing. No view out the window unless you walked outside. Parking was eh but not terrible.
