Amazing location. I was a bit worried before arriving because of some bad reviews on some sites, but the hotel has new management and everything is just fine. Reception is there 24/7 to help out.

WiFi is still being worked on. But I could connect to LinkNYC Free from the hotel room.

We see our hotel room as a quick base to explore the city, not watch TV and lounge around. We just want safe, clean, conveniently located and reasonably priced. It's rare that you get all of that in one place. Be Home checked all the boxes and it had just been renovated really nicely, great A/C and bed too. Being our first time to NYC we didn't know what to expect or where to stay. With Be Home being so central, you can explore an area, come back for a break and then head out again. Be Home is 2 blocks from Times Square and all the shows but not in the craziness of it all, 2 Blocks from the C & E subway lines which take you uptown to Central Park and museums, crosstown to Queens and the LaGuardia Q70 airport bus, downtown to Penn Station, the World Trade Center, Greenwich Village, Wall St, Brooklyn Bridge and beyond all without transferring once. You can walk to Central Park in ten minutes or get great food all along 9th Ave. one block west. Our biggest surprises were how safe and easy the subways felt. We felt safer here than the light rail in Denver. Just the right amount of cops visible. Literally tap your credit card or your phone at the turnstile and walk through. No metro card needed. After the 12th tap of your credit card in a calendar week the rest of your rides are free for the week. Taking the C train to the High Street stop in Brooklyn and then walking the Brooklyn Heights Promenade gives you the most phenomenal unobstructed views of Manhattan, then explore the waterfront and Dumbo area and finally walk across the Brooklyn Bridge with great views of the city. If you want to see the Statue of Liberty, take the free 25 minute Staten Island Ferry, stand on the right side upper deck and watch Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty go by, hop off on Staten Island, catch the next ferry back. The whole thing takes 1 hour.

The only complaint was being right on 8th Avenue. The occasional emergency services vehicles and rage honking are jarring. Triple pane instead of double pane windows would have been nice or an interior room. But don't let that stop you from staying here. NYC is a noisy city. In the budget hotel category this is one of the best ones we have stayed in anywhere in the country.

Fantastic midtown location, a wonderful reception team; welcoming and helpful. A small but well designed room which was very clean with an excellent ensuite at a great price.

The only issue for me is the noise within the hotel; so many rooms with very narrow corridors meant I could hear people coming and going at night and in early morning; both talking in the hall and doors slamming...My door shook with the noise of a nearby door shutting with a slam! So if you're a light sleeper staying for more than a couple of nights this might be an issue.

The hotel was one block from Times Square, 21 blocks from the C line, many restaurants options around. The room was small, but it has a bathroom, which was a plus. I could be a bit cleaner, but nothing to worry about. The bed was super comfy and although it is in the busiest part of the tow, I couldn't hear any noise at night. Staff was nice and friendly. Nothing to complain.

The only thing is, if you can't handle stairs, ask for a room on the lower levels. I was on the 5th floor and there is no elevator in the property, so be ready for some exercise!

Seeing the Google comments on the Hotel, we were quite worried that this would be a scam, and that the the Hotel wouldn't exist. Apparently, a recent change of owner caused those really bad comments on Google. The hotel ended up existing, and was actually very good value for the money. Overall, the room was large and clean and the staff was really friendly.

Unfortunately, there's no internet in the hotel at the moment. The phonic insolation isn't great and you can hear the people next door, or the doors banging quite loudly. It's a problem if you want to sleep late in the morning.

We loved the location, closeness to transit and the Times Sq. There were a lot of inexpensive good food places around. The room was clean, small but comfortable, air conditioning worked great. The neighbours were quiet.

There was no wi-fi. The building is a walk-up, - we didn't mind, but if someone wants to get in/out of the room several times a day, it's quite a workout. They charge $2 per bag to keep the bags past check-out time.

It’s pretty clean, beds are comfy Location is outstanding, couple of minutes of walk to Times Square. I really loved the place

The room is small, even tiny. Quite tight for two. For one person is ok Also, there is no Wi-fi there. I stayed for 5 days and every day staff told me the wifi is just not working. I’m pretty sure they just save money. Don’t see another reason not to fix it for 5 days in a row

Great location! Great staff! Admittedly after reading past reviews I had my doubts but after staying here myself it was incredible! it seems they read the reviews about the door locks not working and fixed them as we did not have any issues with ours. I would definitely stay here again if I visit NY again.

only complaint is that the tv didn’t have a signal but it wasn’t a major issue for us.

Location is amazing, 1 block from time square. Bedroom is spacious, even has a small fridge, good aircon. Bed is confortable. I ll be back when in nyc, great price.

Just details really: no wifi, no tv. The door to the bathroom is a sliding door, so no privacy. Floor was not vacuumed well, but the rest of the room was clean.
