The rooms are the largest, cleanest and most comfortable rooms you can find in NYC. The bed and pillows are very clean. The temperature of the rooms is very nice. Everything you need is in the room except slippers. The elevators are very fast, the hot water is very good, the windows of the hotel are soundproof. The cleaning staff are wonderful, friendly, they do their job very well, they definitely deserve a tip.

The reception staff are rude and very, very unhelpful and also rude. They give short answers to the questions you ask. Not all guests have to be native speakers of English, you should respect that. Also, when we asked for a taxi at check-out, they told us that we could look for a taxi on the street in the crazy rain. On January 28, around 9-9.15 in the morning, both the male and female receptionists at the reception were rude and disrespectful.

I love small neighborhood hotels in New York. This one fit the bill perfectly. It was clean, nice lobby, quality food for the breakfast, comfortable and well-appointed room, free internet, and the location could not have been better for our needs. The staff were efficient and took care of our needs.

We opted for the complimentary breakfast when we booked, but we were charged for breakfast. We waited til checkout to try to resolve the problem, but did not have time to get it resolved.

Facilities, location were great. Staff was kind. Hotel was very clean and with brand new furnitures. Room is bigger than the other hotel rooms in NYC.

Check-in time should be at 3 pm, not 4pm. 4 pm is little bit late for check-in if the hotel’s checkout time is at 11am.

Although not yet fully operational, the Romer is a very good value for money hotel very close to the action. The staff were very attentive and customer orientated.

The refundable $100 per night deposit charge should be more up front in the hotel description.

We absolutely loved our stay at Romers. Its a fresh hotel, recently renovated rooms and property as such. Our rooms on 10th floor were a delight. The decor is very retro meets boho chic. Bed was super comfy and bathrooms were good. I appreciate how they don't give plastic water bottles but encourage you to refill bottles that they have left for you. House keeping is amazing. They are so efficient and prompt. Everyone had a smile on their faces. Of course best part of Romer is their location. 5 mins by walk and you are in Times square, 7 mins walk to Central park. The neighbourhood is very safe. Close to all the broadway shows.

Our check in took forever. Honestly this could have been made so much better. The lady who was helping us just confused me with the details of how much will I get charged etc. Thankfully the manager stepped in and made it super easy. Then I was called again as some charge on my card was cancelled so they wanted me to pay again but when I called my card company, they said nothing was cancelled. I just didn't feel welcomed by her. It was very curt and rude. Totally avoidable.

View from the corner king room was amazing! Bed was comfy & room was spacious.

Water leaked from under the shower door & soaked the entire floor.

The location was superb, the room was quite spacious and clean, the check in and out was quick, the elevators worked quickly, the lobby was very cozy and warm, the people at the reception were friendly

It was really noisy, you could hear all the chatter from the hallway (both staff and guests) and neighbouring rooms. The airconditioner was also very loud and went on and off often. On our last night the fire alarm went off at 4:30am multiple times before it was turned off, it would’ve been nice if the staff had even apologized for this when we checked out the next day. The urban fee of 40usd per night also came as a surprise, it would’ve been nice to know beforehand (maybe I missed it when I made the reservation). One of the portiers was also a bit rude, maybe we didn’t provide enough tip.
