This Hotel is not cheap but you will not be disappointed. The LOCATION is FANTASTIC. It was easy to get to most places by train or bus. The metro is just outside the hotel door, a stone's throw a way. The park across the street is beautiful and so is the library. Provides a sense of 'space' in an otherwise very crowded city. Plenty of breakfast and coffee places along the row. Whole Foods across the road was excellent too. The coffee served in the lift lobby every morning was good. Although the muffins were a thoughtful addition, it was often a little soggy. Appreciated the cold water at the lift lobby through the day. Wonder if a bottle of water in the room each day may be too much to ask. It was nice to get a bottle water each at checkin. Both Check in and out was very smooth. The staff were all very friendly and willing to help. The room was big for a hotel in central city. And the bathroom was huge. Loved the amenities in the shower. We had a bottle of complimentary champagne in my room as it was my birthday. That was a lovely surprise. The room had everything we needed including an umbrella. And the front desk handed out small umbrellas that came in handy due to the constant rain while we were there. The bed and pillows was very comfortable. Although we did hear some street noises, it was not too bad as we were on the higher floors. They also provided ear plugs for those who needed them. We walked to plenty of shows on broadway and museums from here. The location was just perfect for us. Without the madness and crowds of Times Square. And close enough to all the shopping on 5th and 6th Avenue.

The renovations outside the front made it hard to 'see' the hotel name. I guess that is temporary. I also did not like that there was so much red in the waiting areas and the lifts. The lifts were extremely dark. And when one lift broke down, it took a long time to get up or down with the only one lift left! Also providing some complimentary bottle water in the room would be a nice 'finishing' touch.

Best location in Manhattan, being right on Bryant Park and walking distance close to many attractions. The property itself has an understated elegance about it, being located in a beautiful old building. The place is run with minimal fuss, the staff all being exceptionally friendly and efficient. You don’t see all the frills as you would do in a luxury hotel, but everything is there. We were upgraded to a large suite on a high floor and the amount of space was exceptional and comfortable, well suited to a weeks stay at the hotel. Could not have chosen a better hotel without paying a lot more money.

Not much not to like. Can’t think of anything significant.

Its a very good location, central for Midtown and Fifth Avenue and on the same block as a subway for the West Side and downtown. Really plenty of restaurant options for all budgets within short walking distance. Bryant Park itself is a great space to stroll in, have a coffee or just to sit and relax. No bikes, no joggers, no skateboards!

The entrance lobby is a little bit functional rather than warm in appearance for a hotel of this standard, the red cube leather seating may not be everyone's taste. The immediate entrance area is not very spacious and could get pretty clogged with larger parties arriving/leaving with luggage, right outside the hotel/bar entrance.

Location was amazing. Close to great restaurants, Times Square, Metro and many other useful amenities. Also right across from Bryant park. Staff were also very welcoming and helpful which seems rare to find in NYC. Also, room was large compared to your average NYC hotel room.

Room itself is very minimalistic in terms of decor. It's nice and comfortable but very basic/bare. Curtains also very light so if you have a hard time sleeping in a room that's not pitch black, that could be an issue. Also loud activities in Bryant Park sometimes but hotel provides comp earbuds to help.

Fabulous location. Helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom. Lovely view across Bryant Park.Despite the deficiencies below I would return.

The hot water system requires work..very difficult to adjust temperature appropriately. The fan in the air conditioning was not working properly and despite maintenance, continued to function with unnecessary noises. The restaurant Koi is not good breakfast value.

Everything! Attentive and courteous staff, very welcoming as soon as you walk in the door. Complimentary coffee and muffins-the coffee was very good. Beautiful decor from top to bottom-the lobby, Koi restaurant, Celon’ lounge, and the rooms are nicely decorated and extremely comfortable. The view is so lovely overlooking Bryant Park. The location is perfect, Times Square or a Broadway show are an easy walk, the subway is also convenient and close by. On our last day we were able to check our bags until we were ready to leave NYC.

The Bryant Hotel is in an enviable position being at the heart of most thing in Midtown. Being between 5th and 6th avenues is perfect for sightseeing and shopping. You are just steps away from a subway line and just round the corner from Grand Central. The rooms have super comfortable beds - firm, but not too firm. They have a bath AND separate shower, with Molten Brown toiletries. Housekeeping was excellent. Free coffee and muffins in the morning is a nice touch, as is iced water, that is available by the lift all day. Best of all is the staff. We encountered warm friendly people, who enjoyed what they did. We met Jo, John and Scott and they were brilliant. Even the chap that put our bags in the taxi, at the end of the trip waved us off - just a little thing, but a nice touch.

Nothing- it exceeded our expectations

Serene haven in a superb location at beautiful Bryant Park, alive with flowers and happy people during our summer stay. The staff were exceptional in anticipating and meeting our needs with genuine interest, friendliness and helpfulness, especially John and Josephine, along with Shannen, Dwight and housekeeper Amy! The supplied a refrigerator and kettle to our room at our request. Large, well lit bathroom with bath and separate shower with excellent water pressure. comfortable bed and nice linens. gorgeous aesthetics - white room - stylish red and black foyer and elevators.

I've long wanted an opportunity to stay at the Bryant Park Hotel, and I was not disappointed. I loved the location next to the park and watching the ice skaters from my window. The room was spacious and calm. The bathroom was huge!

Be prepared for lots of red! including the lights in the elevator. Not a bad thing, but was a surprise. There was an odd light on our ceiling going off and on through the first night, but as soon as I mentioned it to the front desk, they sent someone up who pointed out where the off switch was.
