Marriott Vacation Club Pulse, New York City

Rooftop lounge was 24hours, we could take food up and get the amazing night view of Empire State Building! Maid service daily! The manager even made sure we had champagne, glasses, and balloons waiting in our room upon arrival for my boyfriends birthday! I requested this and they made it happen!

The complimentary breakfast didn’t have much of a selection and not fresh pastries. All prepackaged. The tea options were good but no coffee options other than just black coffee and some small packets of plain creamer.

Absolutely the best customer service I've experienced at a NY hotel. Entire staff is friendly and accommodating. Had a minor issue with an unrecognized charge that couldn't be resolved until the next morning and was offered two bottles of wine with glasses for the minor inconvenience. Hotel offers lots of cool perks at no additional cost such as walking tours of Central Park, snack/candy bar, wine tastings, etc.

Cleanliness of carpeting in the room could be a bit better but hard to keep clean with people coming and going wearing shoes that just walked on NY streets. Rest of room was spotless.

it was in a great spot and the roof top was lovely . staff front of house were really helpful and friendly .

we accidentally left a charging battery pack worth £160 in our room when we checked out and later that day realized . it was hard to contact list property and it was never handed in by cleaning staff . we know for a fact we left it on the bed and it was a large item so it frustrating to know it wasn’t handed into lost property .

The hotel was very nice and clean. The room was a good size. AC made a little noise but didn’t bother us as a nice white noise. Didn’t hear any outside traffics at all. We were shocked, so quiet. Not much of a view but could see the Vanderbilt summit building from our room on level 10. The staff is very friendly, always was greeted in and out of the hotel. Shout out to Jocelyn our walking tour guide to dumbo. Very friendly and outgoing. Had interesting things to say on the tour. Was also surprised when the hotel came with complimentary walking tours. We was told about it when we got there but assumed we would have to pay, so good outcome to that. Room was cleaned everyday when we were out. Had a mini fridge which was great for our cold waters. Overall very nice hotel and would come back again :)

Would’ve liked a microwave in our room to heat up leftovers from all the food stops we did.

Great location, clean, larger than average rooms. Nice rooftop bar/lounge area. Friendly, helpful staff.

Great location in walking distance to subway and some of the sights (such as Empire State Building, Bryant Park, Time Square). Great coffee nearby (Culture Espresso). The roof top bar is great and has such a nice view. You can use it also during off times and consume your own food or drinks there. In the room, the AC can be turned off in the room, which is rare enough in the States, but a big plus for us. The bed was comfy and Wifi was good. Cleanliness was good. The view to the Empire State Building from the room was great!

The roof top bar closes early and its top was never open, so the view was always obstructed and it was really cold as the AC was always turned on very high! That is really sad because it made the place really uncomfortable for us. Food was good there. The room was not huge, as you can expect in Manhattan. There is quite a lot of noise both from outside (as you can expect in Manhattan), but also from inside. The neighbor doors are really loud, so we often thought someone is coming into our room when they opened the door next to ours. The elevator is also noisy inside the room as its doors squeek loudly. We inquired about it, but no one fixed it during our stay.

Breakfast was nothing special but it was nice not to have to leave the hotel to get something to eat for breakfast. The prices were reasonable for the food. We took the hotel's tour of Midtown which was very interesting. Part of our party thought the guide was too chatty but I found it interesting. We also enjoyed the tasting of the Juniors' cheesecake.

The room was a bit smaller than what I'm accustomed to but it was adequate for our needs. The location would have been better if it had been closer to the subway. Our plastic drinking cups weren't replaced after we had used all of them. The daily cost of the hotel was on the higher side of reasonable for New York City.

Perfect location. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The hotel hosted activities in their twisted knot lounge. They provided complimentary snacks an evening and had complimentary food from Katz deli come in for guests to try. Mark the concierge was fantastic- so kind, approachable and helpful and always had a smile on his face. He recommended lots to do and see around New York. Jocelyn was helping with the Katz deli catering and she was hilarious, also so friendly - seemed to know everywhere in the world including Norwich and the Canaries. She couldn’t have done enough for us.

The only thing I didn’t like about the property was that they didn’t have a travel cot and we had our 15 month old son with us.

Modern facilities, great toiletries selection, everything you need in the (semi-small but fair for NYC) room and comfortable bed - wonderful to wake up to the view of the Empire State Building. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, especially the door staff, always so kind. Loved the rooftop bar.

Can’t point to much - price was high but that was due to UNGA78, so we were all paying the price of all of us traveling in for the event(s)!
