The hotel is as fine and as described online. The other reviews I read were accurate and still relevant - one elevator does not work (looks like it is permanent) so waits can be long, also there is no way to stock up on water or other supplies. Room is basic and clean, but absolutely no frills, as is the rest of the hotel (lobby, gym), staff was fine too. Generally speaking everything was ok - nothing was great nor terrible. Decent choice in convenient location for tourists.

Hotel can use a face lift, things are slightly worn.

Really liked the modern style rooms with wooden floors and comfortable beds.The bathroom was compact but the shower was a good size and the toiletries were very good quality. Modern fridge, safe, and coffee maker in room.The staff were very friendly and helpful. Coffee & tea available all day on 2nd floor. Never had to queue for the elevator. The location was excellent for getting around on foot or the subway. So close to the Empire State and Macys There was a great little street bar nearby called Memory Lane, run by Mimi and Clay who were so lovely and such fun to spend time with. Only downside was that it only opens Wed to Sun evenings.

The room was spacious but just had a small desk and chair. There was enough space for a small table and a couple of chairs which would have made it more comfortable. There was nowhere really to hang damp towels. It was a pity that the restaurant attached to the hotel was closed as was the roof top bar. You could go up to the roof to take photos though.

The size of the room was perfect. we don’t come to NYC to stay in our rooms, however it actually was bigger than some we’ve stayed in. The bed was comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure (which can sometimes not be the case at most hotels). The front desk was super accommodating and nice. They had a room available for an early check in and kept out bags secured on our check out day since we didn’t fly out until later that evening. the location is spot on too. The roof top view of the Empire State Building can not be beat either.

amazing location, super comfy beds, the best pillows ever. The decor of the hotel is lovely, the staff are really friendly and you are made to feel really welcome.

The only issue was there is no full length mirror in the room, and or a mirror to sit at to do hair or make up. The only one is the mirror at the bathroom sink, but you can’t plug a hairdryer in a bathroom.

Our room had just been refurbished - it was brilliant. Loved the added touch of the umbrella and dressing gown in the rooms. Staff were friendly and always helpful. Great grab and go breakfast.

Only suggestions we have would be a water machine in the breakfast room and that the bar and black tap restaurant were open 7 days as we loved have a bite to eat and a drink in the hotel.

It was a nice modern hotel in a great location with friendly efficient staff.

Would have preferred my room to be fully serviced everyday. I left a note asking for additional toiletries (replenished) and this didn’t happen.

ideally situated just one street up from The Empire State Building between 5th & Broadway with a Subway Station on the corner giving easy access to the rest of NYC. Spacious rooms in a boutique style

Only a minor gripe. Of the 3 elevators one was out of action and one was often in use by housekeeping. with capacity restrictions it meant that we sometimes had to wait for space

The hotel is centrally located, which was ideal for our first visit in NY. The room was comfortable and clean, while the personal was always kind and helpful! On the benefits of the hotel I have to mention also the great view from the terrace.

The street in front of the hotel is always busy and almost all of the mornings were super noisy.

the location was great as were the accommodations. the bed was soft the pillows were fantastic.

everything was pretty much great except for the makeup fingerprint left on the bathroom light switch thing on the wall….. when I went to use the bathroom for the first time. but that doesn’t make me not want to come back.

Great location, extremely comfortable bed. Super clean. Exactly what we needed as a base to explore NYC from for a few days.
