The only issue we had was the rooftop lounge...tried several times to book a reservation and couldn't. 2 of the 4 nights it was closed for private events and the other 2 nights were sold out and could not reserve a table. One of the reasons that I wanted to stay here was this lounge. Guests should have some kind of priority.

I loved our room , I had researched quiet hotel rooms and this delivered !

we arrived at about 8 pm and the lobby bar was overflowing with people and extremely loud music which meant checking in was difficult as it was hard to hear the staff. we then went to the roof bar ( different operator ) it was crazy loud too and full of young people. we are in our 50s so we departed to the hotel restaurant. It was like the bar in Cheers in the 80’s very dated so we didn’t go back .

The location was fantastic. Lovely staff throughout the hotel. The room was spacious, clean, well laid out and the beds were extremely comfortable. Free bottles of water from reception were really handy. A lovely hotel overall.

The shower either had so much pressure it flew out of its holder or was just powerful enough for a hair wash. but we probably used it whilst water was in demand from other rooms too. tricky to get comfortable temperature too but not a big issue overall. we also hoped to eat on the rooftop the first night but had our reservation cancelled. plenty of other options close by though so didn’t matter.

The room was spacious and comfortable and check-in was very easy. Staff was friendly, and we appreciated having complimentary coffee in the mornings.

The rug in the room was slightly curled and we tripped on it several times. Also, we did not always get replacement face cloths but did receive those upon request. When we went to eat in the restaurant, which was barely half full, we were told we needed a reservation. Even an hour later, there were plenty of tables. Also, it would have been helpful to know upon check-in that we needed a reservation for the rooftop. As out of towners, we didn't realize how popular this location is!

Staff and free happy hour were great.

Website advertises use of the roof top bar/restaurant. for 6 out of the 7 nights I was there, it was closed for private events! Very disappointing adn misleading from the website.

Not only was the property modern, and a nod to history, every single person we encountered from the front desk to the elevator attendants to the staff at the restaurants were so nice and accommodating. We have come to learn that the restaurant and bar staff are contracted from IGC, however, they all upheld a wonderful vibe, and even though the Refinery Rooftop is one of the places to see and be seen in New York City, you definitely did not get the snobby vibe from anyone.

Nothing!! Well, I guess if I had to choose some thing, I'm not a huge fan of rugs in hotel rooms and they were kind of a jute fabric and seems like maybe they would be difficult to keep clean.

The hotel was close to certain stores that we wanted to go to. The room was clean and spacious enough for 4 people. The beds were really comfy and pleasant to sleep on. The workers in the reception were friendly and quick to accommodate my requests.

The housekeeper knocked on the door at 8 A.M. which is unreasonably early. That was the first time a housekeeper knocked on our door so early in the morning to clean the room. She woke us up and we were unable to sleep afterward.

Room wonderfully spacious (two queen deluxe) and very quiet through the night (7th floor). Great beds and big bathroom. Location is FANTASTIC for theater and Bryant Park and eating options (Zuckers Bagels!). And they gave us a bottle of wine at check in and there were real wine glasses in the room!

Lobby coffee not so good ... but the Ole and Steen danish bakery near by was amazing! There is an expresso place across the street though. The rooftop bar was crazy loud but would be right for millennials!

Room was very spacious and nicely laid out for space and comfort. Bathroom is beautiful and very functional. Toiletries are awesome. Bed was very comfortable. All staff were excellent without being chatty. We also enjoyed the rooftop deck and food.

Not having a mini fridge or an extra blanket/duvet available in the room seems silly for a $500+ per night room, no matter what city it is in. The exterior was obstructed by scaffolding, which marrs the arrival experience a bit.

I really liked the roof restaurant, good service, tasty tacos, and drop dead view! On the downstairs desk, they were quick answering the phone re queries before I arrived, and obliging storing my luggage likewise. There was a really nice lady on the desk - dark haired - Buzzie?? Who found me a hairdresser also before I arrived. Great service.

I don’t like the breakfast area in hotels being also open to the general public, where you have to queue for a table with the rest of the people off the street. Service once you were seated was brisk but a bit grim.
