Baymont by Wyndham Lynchburg

Due to the rate I wasn't expecting but so much. I was pleasantly surprised by the facility as a whole, from check in to leisure time at the pool. The breakfast was delicious. Every staff member I encountered from front desk to maintenance and housekeeping really made us feel welcomed. My daughter's trip to VA to see family for her 18th birthday was made much easier by having no issues at the hotel.

There was not anything that was less than satisfactory.

A nice area, great access to various locations. Lots of meal and gas choices nearby. The facility itself was solid, with enough outlets and and very comfortable.

The couple a few doors down was making a scene for a good chunk of the night. Took away from the experience, but not the hotel's fault. There was a dripping from the shower faucet the entire night that I alerted the staff about.

I travel to Virginia monthly and where I stay matters greatly. I look for clean rooms, bathrooms, kind and knowledgeable staff with service-mindedness. I prefer linens and towels that are free of stains rips or tears. Bedding must be free of stains and bugs or long-wear. Room navigation, can I get out of the bed without running into another piece of furniture? How easy is it to get replacement towels, linens, etc.? Is the breakfast area clean and prepared in accordance with certified food handlers' preparation expectations? I also take into consideration the hygiene of the staff, taking care of one's appearance is equal to taking care of things they manage or are in charge of. I found all of this here. And easy wifi password included on your key pocket card. What a great idea! Fancy places have you searching the room for the code. There are many needful stores, restaurants, and gas stations within walking distance. There are options of rooms close to the main roads or away from them. It is easy to enter and exit the parking lot as the roads are not congested. Tea and coffee ALL DAY! And to think I use to stay at a Hilton and pay high prices for less service.

I'd replace the curtains. Some had outer tears which didn't inhibit their function, only unsightly really.

Price, location, and continental breakfast.

The WiFi was not very good esp trying to connect. However, I got so frustrated with it not connecting I went to the office to see if I could get a better connection there. I was helped by the person working the desk in the evening, she was awesome! I don't remember her name. I had all the information I needed to connect in the room but it just would not connect. She got it to connect and it stayed connected the rest of the time I was there.🙂👍

reasonable price and breakfast was fine. very comfortable beds.

my daughter said that the second room smelled of cigarette smoke . my son inadvertently left his computer charging cord in the room this am after check out. several attempts were made by phone to see if it had been found. we got no response after several attempts.

The man at the front desk, who was also running the entire breakfast show the next morning is amazing. So professional and nice and works exceptionally hard. That’s the kind of employee every business wishes it had. Breakfast was very nice, tons of options.

Breakfast was nice- cute little area that was accessible and clean Room was very comfortable and spacious. Staff was super friendly and accommodating.

Room had a bit of mold that I didn’t notice until the last morning of my stay. The sidewalk was a iced over in some part which was unsafe.

The clerk named David in the office was very professional at check-in the housekeepers that were in the lobby when checking in we're very friendly and we had a nice conversation room was clean breakfast bar was amazing

Had no complaints can't say anything I didn't like

John was great, I stay here every time I come to Lynchburg, the breakfast was fabulous, sausage gravy and biscuits, waffles, eggs and sausage, cereals and juices... I'm a smoker and I love the gazebo on the property, it is set back and quiet, next to the pool.

The pool

Never slept better. Room 305, two double beds and the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on. The unit itself was not like a Hampton Inn but it was very acceptable. It's like a well kept older motel. No bugs, could smell the disinfectants and all was clean. Would come back to that unit, can't speak for others.

Not a fan of all the motels that only give you two cups of coffee. I get why, but it would be nice to have more. Guess I should travel with my own stuff.
